It's obvious why Infernape and Torrterra never used those moves again, Flare Blitz and Leaf Storm were those moves powered up, but Pikachu losing it's signature attack, hmm, well that's just sad...

    Here's my League moves prediction
~ Thunderbolt, Electro Ball, Quick Attack, Iron Tail (He really should have Grass Knot and Brick Break, but oh well)
~ Sky Attack, Air Cutter, Taunt, Quick Attack (most of Ash's Pokemon that know Quick Attack tend to keep it)
~ Hydro Cannon, Razor Shell, Revenge(Aqua Jet), Megahorn (I don't want Samurott to have 3 water moves)
~ Flame Charge, Arm Thrust, Body Slam(I know it's an egg move), Rollout (I don't see it evolving to Emboar till after the league)
~ Leaf Storm, Attract, Wring Out, Aerial Ace (Sadly, the Snivy line doesn't have that big of a movepool)
/~ Leer(cause it's cool), Payback, High Jump Kick, Head Smash(upgraded Headbutt)/ (I'm not sure if Scraggy will evolve or not)
~ Leaf Blade, X-Scissor, Energy Ball/Shadow Claw, String Shot
~ Hydro Pump, Mud Shot, Supersonic/Hyper Voice, Sludge Wave
~ Stone Edge, Sandstorm, SolarBeam, Flash Cannon

That's true, although some Pokes like Buizel lost stronger moves, replaced Water Pulse with Ice Punch but kept Water Gun. But yeah, it's a shame to see Volt Tackle go but as far as the anime goes, Thunderbolt is far more of a staple.

    Sceptile-X-Scissor and Focus Blast
Oshawott-Air Slash or something incredibly strong
    Heracross-Close Combat
    Snorlax-Heavy Slammer and Curse/Sleep Talk
    Torterra-Earth Power and Outrage

No. The anime is different from the games. It would be stupid for a pokemon for a pokemon to forget moves in the anime universe. So Brock forgets how to cook once he becomes a doctor? See how stupid that sounds.

Just because a pokemon doesn't use a certain move anymore doesn't mean they forget it and I don't buy that Sinnoh pokedex crap when it shows pokemon only having four moves. My theory for that is time-saving. Obviously the pokedex can't show the full moveset because of time.

    Thumbs up

Pikachu: Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Electro Ball, Signal Beam, Substitute, Nasty Plot, Return, Double Team, Agility, Feint, and Thunder.

Gabite: Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Draco Meteor, Iron Tail, Crunch, Giga Impact, Rock Climb, Dragon Dance, Dragon Rush, and Sandstorm.

Charizard: Flamethrower, Seismic Toss, Steel Wing, Iron Tail, Wing Attack, Dragonbreath, Dragon Claw, Shadow Claw, Sunny Day, Solarbeam, and Blast Burn.

Snorlax: Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Surf, Rest, Snore, Sleep Talk, Earthquake, Gyro Ball, and Body Slam.

Heracross: Horn Attack, Brick Break, Bulk Up, Double Team, Slam, Toxic, Poison Jab, Stone Edge, Earthquake, and Megahorn.

Sceptile: Leaf Blade, Night Slash, Hone Claws, X-Scissor, Sunny Day, Solarbeam, Drain Punch, Photsynthesis, Thunderpunch, Earthquake, Dragon Claw, and Frenzy Plant.

These are my skillset (possibilities?) for a team I believe is Ash's strongest 6-pack that he has caught. The only reason I did this is because I have no idea what his Unova pokemon are other than the starters and Unfezant, nor am I too keen on the new moves as of yet.

I made the skillsets this way because I think that pokemon always remember their moves in one way, even though they have 4 moves they use more than the rest.

By the way, this is my first time posting so if anyone has anything to say about my opinion on the skillset and the choice of pokemon, feel free to say so to me. I'm all ears

Nothing new. I hope it random;y brings Volt Tackle back during the final battles of BW or something. Relies on it as a finisher the way Thunder used to pop back into its moveset randomly

Aside from giving it Hydro Pump replacing Water Gun Piplup I don't see what they can really do with it if it doesn't evolve. Fury Cutter seems to similar to Razor Shell and it doesn't need to replace Tackle with just another Water attack like Aqua Tail. X-Scissor and Night Slash have the same problem as Fury Cutter, I don't see Air Slash happening. Ice Beam is the best it can hope for as far as diversity goes if it doesn't evolve. If it does reach Samurott it should get Mega Horn for type and style coverage and instead of getting Hydro Pump like Piplup and Palpitoad it can get Hydro Cannon. Dewott using dual "swords" and Samurott drawing his from his sheath is too cool to pass up so Razor Shell needs to stay and with Samurott's horn, Aqua Jet can turn it into a spear (combinations with Mega Horn?) Aqua Jet can also make it all ninja with its Razor Shell. Imagine it seizing its Aqua Jet midway through and lunging into a Razor Shell. Epic finisher.

This ones a bit tougher. Flamethrower seems to have replaced Ember so it still just has three moves. I hope they don't just upgrade Flame Charge with Flare Blitz. Its a waste of time, they're so similar. Just let that be Infernape's move. Instead it should get Heat Stamp as its powerful Fire type move and the rest of its move pool can be of different types. Head Smash and Hammer Arm/Arm Thrust for example. Heat Stamp, Flamethrower, Arm Thrust, and Head Smash would be cool.

Pikachu swapped Volt Tackle for Electro Ball, Snivy can swap Leaf Storm for a move with less base power. Leaf Tornado sounds stronger at least. Vine Whip is too versatile to be replaced, but Leaf Blade may get replaced. If Snivy evolves Dragon Tail would be an ideal replacement for Leaf Blade

Replace Leer. Remember Pikachu vs Froslass in Ash and Paul's match, how Froslass disappeared in the snow and attacked while unseen? That's how Faint Attack should be animated. That's what I want Scraggy to get. Aside from that, maybe a special Fighting attack like Focus Blast.

I'm on a boat mother... what?

Unfezant, Tailwind. I think it would be the best strategy for a flying type. Since Ash likes fast Pokemon, tailwind would make her super fast

I will only add moves, not actively take away.

    Zebstrika: Overheat
    Sawk: Payback
A nice counter-style attack, that also allows him a shot against a ghost-type.
Other choices would be Grass knot, which maight be interesting but not really fit, and Swagger(You know why).

    Beartic: Surf, Aerial Ace
Allows it to get around the main weaknesses it has. Aerial Ace would be interesting to see used by something of that size(and non-flying), and Surf was chosen over Brine as Brine in the anime is yet another "shoot water from mouth"-attack like Hydro Pump and Water Gun... and because Surf in the anime has always been awesome.

Bisharp: Psycho Cut, Dig, Sucker Punch
Again, let's it cover its weaknesses, plus Dig could be an effective way to use it's guillotine(dives with guillotine, then if miss, keep going with dig). I suppose Grass Knot could be added to cover Ground. =P

Sucker Punch is just there because I think it's a neat attack, and it hasn't been used in the anime yet to the best of my knowledge. Snarl is a possible option for a drak type attack, but I'd rather save that one for one of Burgundy's mons(preferably an eventual Purrloin/Liepard).

Another possibility is learning Thunder Wave as a more effective way than metal Sound to score KOs with guillotine. Imagine Metal Sound>Thunder Wave->Guillotine.
    Help spread the Dragonbuster Love!
    Hail to Saint Georgia!

    Pikachu: Wild Charge
    Unfezant: Detect
Oshawott: Fury Cutter and Ice Beam

    Leavanny: X-Scissor
Palpitoad: Hyper Voice and when it evolves, Drain Punch
    Boldore: Iron Defense
Krokorok: Thunderfang and when it evolves, Outrage/Dragon Claw

    For his old pokemon:
    Charizard: Sky Drop
    Squirtle: Aqua Tail

    Muk: Something, anything
    Kingler: Dig/Brick Break

Buizel: Rain Dance and Aqua Tail (Evolve please, so similar to Sceptile that it is awesome)
    Gliscor: Earthpower or Bulldoze
Gible: Fire Blast Dragon Tail (Fully evolve, I beg of you Gible)
