I am sorry, but I don't remember Staraptor using Close Combat yet. I just moved my eye for a second after the evolution when it went head to head with Honchkrow, and had it used Close Combat, that is a different story.

If Pikachu could learn Aura Sphere, that would be so cool! But same for me, I would do to the Team Rocket now.

    Jessie:

: Air Cutter & Feint = Maybe some combos and Feint for just when it faces a Protect pokemon.

: Stockpile & Spit Up = It would be cool to have it big and then fire of his lasor! Just kidding, but if was cool when Bibarel did it.

: Encore & Destiny Bond = That would be cool and then it get's uber!

    James:

: Wake Up Slap & Psych Up = Just for fun if James gets some problem and then it can slap him!

: Ingrain & Sweet Scent = Like Victrebell, and it could help Jessie in the Grand Festival!

    Both:

: Ice Wind & Nasty Plot = Could be more helpfull and help them stop the twerps. And it would be cool if it attacks!

Since Ash's Staraptor seems to be Paul's Houchkrow rival, i think Staraptor would need a powerful ranged attack to fight Houchkrow who already has two ranged attacks (Shadow Ball & Dark Pulse) otherwise it would have problem in the future. But the choice it has for its ranged attacks are not much. The good ones are Hidden Power, Hyper Beam, Air Cutter, Ominous Wind, Heatwave.

He has to learn an attack that is suppose to be a super effective against Dark pokemon.
Air Cutter looks awesome, Ominous Wind or Twister is perfect for Staraptor.

Staraptor tackling honchkrow's dark pulse with twister will be awesome. I can totally see the dark rigs being thrown back towards the krow as twister collides with it.

    There's always air cutter.

Air slash is always used by Galactic's Golbats and we just seen Skarmory use it in DP118.

I looked it up and Staraptor can't learn air slash.

Pikachu can't learn aura sphere. Did you mean the event Pichu's 'new attack' could be aura sphere and Pikachu will learn it then? Yeah, maybe Pikachu will learn what ever new attack that event Pichu gets but I doubt it will be aura sphere. I think the reason they taught Buizel water pulse during the battle against Lucario was to show that its similar to aura sphere

ThunderBolt is the signature move in the anime, I don't think it would go. But it would be cool if someone could learn it. Not Pikachu, since it got way to many Electric attacks. I hope that Staraptor learns Heat Wave, something special is great.

Yeah, that seems most likely. Right now I don't see any attacks for Pikachu thats would be 'great.'

There are a few attacks that he could learn just to show that he didn't go the entire saga without learning one but nothing that would be truely interesting.

I wonder, will the Pichu's new attack be something that already exists or some completely new attack like volt tackle in Emerald?

    Ash Oaked Pokemon:

: Grasswhistle & Light Screen = To calm the furious Pokemon at the lab and to protect the weaker ones.

: Dark Pulse & Haze = Some moves, rare moves for Muk.

: Slam & AncientPower = Good slam attacks and could be cool to make stones crush the opponents.

: Outrage & Zen Headbutt = Because of the rage, and good be usefull against opponents.

: Whirlwind & Iron Head = Some moves, maybe to keep the opponents up and then beat them with Iron Head.

I think Buizel should learn Ice Fang to round out its arsenal.

IF Chimchar fully evolves I would not be surprised to see it learn Blast Burn, since that-if I recall correctly- is the only superpowered Elemental attack that hasn't appeared in the Anime yet.

What is with the sudden "four moves only" thing everyone seems to be on in here. It's just an excuse so you can make more than one post saying the same thing.

It's much more simple to decide which attacks you think a specific Pokémon will learn, rather than deciding for a competetive four-move moveset for them.

So this isn't just spam, I'll also post my thoughts on Brock.

I think Croagunk could be fine the way he is. Happiny, however, could learn a couple of new attacks, possibly something healing-ish. Sudowoodo needs a new attack and some screentime.

The anime doesn't limit a Pokemon to 4 moves anyway...
