Dresses

"Ash, what are you doing in that stupid dress?" asked Paul. Paul's eyes appeared strained and his purple hair was scruffier than usual. Ash was the complete opposite; he was his normal cheerful self, only this time in a dress. The dress was mauve with pink floral patterns dancing around.

"Hey Paul!" Ash cried out, quickly patting his shoulder. "Barry and I are in dresses to raise some money for Rowan's charity. Wanna join us?"

"No thanks," Paul responded, "I have better things to do then flail around in dresses."

"Come on, it will be fun." Ash began pleading Paul with puppy eyes. "I'll battle you afterwards... please?"

"I'll battle you if you'd stop begging me to wear stupid dresses."

"I won't battle you unless you do it!" Ash bounced back. He was now holding onto his jacket. "Think of all those starving pokemon in Africa."

"Fine, I'll do it..." Paul replied, although he had no idea what he just got into. "Just..."

"That's awesome!" Ash shouted out and quickly kissed him on the cheek. "I'm sure Dawn won't mind you letting you borrow her dress." Ash ran up to Dawn as fast as he could, whilst Shinji froze to the spot. His cheeks as pink as lipstick.

The boy glared at the UFO catcher machine that held various prizes.

"Pathetic."

"Shinji~!" A familar voice called out as the said boy grumbled at the other's timing. "What a coincidence! You here for the festival too?" The black haired boy glanced down at the thing Shinji held. "...Why do you have a plushie of me?"

What is the strangest thing you've seen in Comashipping?

Umm... for sure, the strangest Coma things I've seen are some of the funny fanarts that Katsu digs up. Like this, for example: http://omegaru.is-mine.net/framepage_illust_.html Strange and funny, they be. Not to mention kinda WTF-y sometimes X3 Oh, there's others, trust me. More questionable fanarts, oh yes.

What kind of music do you think Satoshi and Shinji listen to? Would they be able to stand each other's music? If yes then great! If not, why so?

*gets this weird daydream of Satoshi singing (badly) to Barbie Girl

The expected answer is probably that Satoshi likes pop/rock (you know, something peppy and upbeat like him), while Shinji is into what is called "goth" or "emo" music (for, you know, obvious reasons). Mind you, if Satoshi got ahold of Shinji's iPod one day and there was some... super kawaii J-Pop song playing... Satoshi might just stay away from Paul for good, you know? X3

I like Comashipping because I think the whole rivalry/hatred and underlying friendship/love thing is adorable!
I dunno... don't ask me why, it just is. You guys know what I mean?
It's like the whole thing with Ash and Gary. The entire rivalry is just an excuse to cover up their true feelings....

Secondly because Ash and Paul look totally hawt together!
I just love all the fanart.
Comashipping just has something about it that I find very attractive.
The way Ash is clinging to Paul... and sometimes even being evil.
And the way Paul's always in the background with a sweatdrop....

Guys, seriously. I really can't decide!
Sometimes I think it's Paul because Ash is so clueless.
But in the D/P arc, Ash is a LOT smarter and physically (GAHHH -shot-) mature in comparison to say Kanto/Johto.
And in the anime I just kind of see a tint of... umm.... idk to how describe it. The look that dominant ones have in their eyes. Evil maybe?

LOL BARBIE GIRL. Oh Tadashi. It would make SO much sense. That aside, I'll agree with Tadashi that Satoshi would totally feed his ears to pop/rock playists. As well as songs that motivate him and such. (for battling if that wasn't what you were thinking) Shinji DEFINITELY would go with emo if not hardrock songs. Songs on how the world fails, mmhmm.

Who's the dominant one?
DEFINITELY Shinji because Satoshi wouldn't have a clue. (like what Legerdemain said) Shinji would want to be dominant because he KNOWS Satoshi is too useless to be so. I blame the many fanarts for it too. -is convinced too easily-

For some reason, I think that Shinji is a Leonard Cohen fan. I can totally see him just sitting back and relaxing to classic Cohen fare like "Suzanne", "Tower of Song", "Democracy", "I'm Your Man", and "First We Take Manhattan." Emo, but with spunk, charm and style. Satoshi would get tired of it pretty quickly and insist on singing such great classics such as "Spurt" and "Aim to be a Pokemon Master." Plus maybe throw in "Ready, Steady, Go!" and a few others as well. Yes, Ash is an anime music fan. Paul would get tired very quickly.

This topic is obvious...why do we even have it here, lol.

Shinji of course.

Satoshi is pretty much the uke in everything. Shinji would not allow himself to become uke, unless he is drunk or something. Satoshi may pout and complain, but Shinji would be firm...Shinji's the seme, Satoshi's the uke.

Anyways, what was the question? Who would be seme/uke? In my mind, the main character always has to be uke, so Satoshi-uke, but not SUPER uke. Satoshi is pretty clueless about that stuff, but I don't think he would like being bottom, he would at least fight for dominance. Shinji, well, he'd be the creepy seme type, but I don't want to see him like that. And like Legerd says, Shinji might not be the one to take charge in the relationship. He might not be the one to initiate anything, but I don't think he would like to be dominated either.

In response to Episode Review Saturday, I actually saw DP2 like, after DP4 or so, I can't remember. I don't have much rememberence of the episode, but I love how Shinji was actually waiting out of Rowan's lab to battle Satoshi. What a stalker. Or was that DP3? Anyways, I realize that they two always either draw, or Shinji wins. D8

I suppose you should stare at many different fanart and hopefully get a decision on who's seme or uke? Most would have the view on Shinji being the seme but it depends on the shipper's views imo. XD;

Shinji waiting outside and pretending he wasn't a stalker but rather a kid who just wanted to send his regards to Rowan but was all "oh wtf are you doing here. not that i was stalking you or anything but we just happened to be here at the same time. wanna battle?" instead. Then Satoshi all ">8( WUT DID YOU CALL ME" at Shinji. It set the shipping of course. Not to mention the first seconds they interacted with each other. Satoshi asking him "WHY DID YOU RELEASE THEM?!" and Shinji responding with "BECAUSE I CAN, OK"
Oh it turns out Shinji and Satoshi didn't meet until DP003. XD; AH WELL

Well between the japanese episodes when the diamond/pearl saga first started as well as the last thread I was converted. also learning that Shinji-kun was going to be more of a major rival like shigeru-sempai (and we all know how that turned out, but it was good while it lasted) instead of a minor rival like Hiroshi-sama (who didn't even get 10 episodes of screen time) was also a plus. And the fact that i'm a sucker for rival shippings

Yes, I'm the only person in the universe who actually believes this. Think about it: Satoshi would be all like, "let's go here!" and "let's do this!" and Shinji's all "NO." Buuuut, think about it for a second. Who is the one that Shinji is intrigued by? Who is the one who always pops up wherver Satoshi goes? That might sound dominant to you guys, but to me, it seems more like a submissive trait. Skulking in the forests, popping up every so often, almost exclusively for Satoshi...

Anyone else reminded of the Suicune in Crystal? *shot to pieces*

Case and point: I don't think for a second that Shinji would be the one to be running things.

Satoshi has always seemed like the homemade gift maker to me. Oh sure, he'll go to the stores, looking for the perfect gift... but only then, on the eve of the party, does he realize that the best gifts are those he makes himself ^^

Shinji... I gotta think more about him. My understanding of him is still very limited...

Satoshi...would probably listen to...well, I agree with Pop. Maybe Alternative/Rock too and anything that's upbeat, really. And Shinji...well, trance to fit his calm nature. Or Punk rock. Or something along the lines of Human or Viva la Vida...

They MIGHT be able to stand each others music: Satoshi's prolly more tolerable than Shinji anyway. That and well...their music is really under the same genre. =/

Satoshi would go all out with his present, whatever that may be. It has to be something useful to Shinji, or else Shinji's not even going to take it. ~~Pfffft, I'm thinking the TM Frustration, but his pokemon don't really hate him, they're just abused alot...~~ Hm... A bag full of Chople Berries, either unintentional or as a gag-gift, because Shinji really needs them.

As for Shinji giving gifts... Well... Something small and simple, to show that he cares, maybe. I can imagine a box of cookies or Pocky or something, I don't know why.

I'll try to draw something for Fanart, since I suck and haven't drawn much for Coma.

Edit: Bah, didn't want to double post, and since this place is a little dead, I drew some scarp. Scrap art. Yeah.

EPISODE: DP006 - Different Strokes for Different Blokes / Bewilder Forest! Shinji Returns!!

So Satoshi gets hallucinations by the Stantler providing crack. Shinji, being Link, saves him but before that, he couldn't help but take pictures with his ~~cellphone~~ Pokedex. Satoshi also loved to bother Shinji on how he became a ninja and went down the multiple tree branches the writers put to prevent him from losing his cool the way Satoshi did. FWAH! (`･ω･&#180
