In best wishes Ash's new rival looks just like paul. do you think that the writers are trying to hint at comashipping by making his rival an almost exact look alike of it paul?

I think that the writers definitely wanted to keep the Paul-like tension, if you know what I mean ;D They seemed to like the concept of an antagonistic rival, which is why Shooti was created.

I'm CommanderPigg, and I've loved comashipping since the tag battle arc; this shipping was the reason why I got back into Diamond and Pearl. I've always loved rival shippings, and sometimes, I swore they made it too easy. Paul's "I hate you but at the same time I really want you" attitude is really quite evident in his stalker-ish behavior ;D

I really wish I could draw more fanart/make more amvs of these two. I'm just so lazy XD

Oh man, this is so true. Except Paul is much cooler.
But no, I don't think the writers are trying to hint anything, they know that a rival like Paul is the best way to go; it makes the story much more interesting.

I don't know if they are trying to hint at Comashipping or not but I think they want to keep up the standard that our lovely Paul set.

However in the future we may see references to Paul (and Comashipping) if Shooti goes down a similar path. And then Paul comes and kicks his a**!

Yeah, I do. Honestly, Shooti not looks like Shinji but he has a similar personality too.
But still, Shinji's much cooler then Shooti and Shooti just can't compare if you ask me.

In terms of appearance? I honestly don't think so. (They both have their fair share of differences.) In terms of their relationship with Satoshi, on the other hand... Maybe. Not that I'd want another ShinSato on our hands (Coma is unique!), but the way Shooti's personality and disdain towards Satoshi might be a hint hint nudge nudge for the Comashippers on the writer's part. (Well, not the Comashippers directly, but fans of the Shinji/Satoshi rivalry at the most.)

Come on, you guys seriously think Shooti looks exactly like Paul? They look nothing alike if you ask me. Like pokefan#493 said, they both have their fair share of differences. They don't look anything alike to me.
Even their relationship with Satoshi seems to have it's difference. Judging from the preview, it looks like Shooti and Satoshi will get along and how long did it take Paul before he ended his rivalry with Satoshi? So yeah, even their relationship with Satoshi is completely different.
Of course that's just me. I honestly don't think Shooti and Shinji look alike.

Hey Comashippers! Hi new people I haven't met yet. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Been kinda busy a lot. Well the thread is kinda dead. I'm trying to write a comashipping story and i have like 5 to 7 different stories and 2 have 1 chapter or 2 so far. Ugh harder than I thought it would be.

Well they kinda don't look alike when I think about it now. Maybe the clothes and long hair,but it's not the same to me. Shooti is ok. I think they are making a Shooti like him in very few ways.

I think Paul will make a cameo eventually later in the series of BW. He is the 2nd biggest rival to Ash so... I think they might be surprised depending if Team Rocket comes in cause of how serious they are now or happy cause they did end on good terms.

I miss Paul stalking Ash and them always together sometimes. Heres another topic.

I'm trying to write a Comashipping story and i have like 5 to 7 different stories and 2 have 1 chapter or 2 so far. Ugh harder than I thought it would be.

Writing is a lot harder then I thought it to be too.
Aside from school, my laptop hasn't been charging lately and I have to wait until after Christmas to get it fixed :/
Plus, on top of that, I'm like having a tough time writing the third chapter of my Comashipping story as well.

I don't really think they look alike at all. Both Shooti and Shinji have their differences. I mean, their hairstyle seems to be similar but their personalities couldn't be more different. Even their relationship with Satoshi seems to be completely different, if you ask me.

That's a good question.
I think they both might be surprised to see each other again but that's just me.

So I died for a while. Guilty as charged. But recently I've been really into Comashipping, so I might get reborn here. The ending of DP made me depressed (not in an emo way) and left me not really wanting to watch BW but instead put in my own inserts after it. I felt like it was left with a lot of unfinished business (such as the rivalry/relationship between Satoshi and Shinji). I really felt no closure there and it depressed me a lot.

I didn't think he looked like Shinji and I definitely didn't think he acted like him at all. The only similarity they have to me is that they're both Satoshi's rivals. Of course, when I first saw him, I said to myself, "Oh I wonder if he's gonna be anything like Shinji!" But then I was quickly disappointed because no, I didn't really see a resemblance. But at the same time, I'm glad he's not like Shinji because I don't want Comashipping fans converting just because they're similar. But then again, a lot of you guys seem to find them similar, so maybe that reasoning is a bit questionable... But I really don't think they would make two rivals that are the same. Maybe he's the western version of Shinji ahaha... Since everything about Isshu seems so western to me, by the characters' names especially. But yeah, Shinji and Shooti (is that really how it's spelled?) have two completely different characters to me, so no, I don't think the writers were trying to hint at anything. (Are the writers even the same as the ones of DP...?)

How do you think Ash and Paul will react if they see each other again?
Satoshi will send his new friends away to give them some alone time for the time being and they would spend time alone and spend the night together at the pokemon center as if they were lovers best friends all along. Oh and Satoshi would be oh so happy to see him. Like, the happiest he's been in a long time, noticeably. And Shinji would actually smile at him and stuff. Yeahhhh. And then they have hot sex and live together happily ever after; the end.

I definietly think they'd be happy to see each other again, especially Satoshi. I could definietly imagine Satoshi telling Iris and Dento to 'get lost' so he can be alone with Shinji. Shinji will be happy to see him again and actually smile. Oh yeah, and then you know what would happen xDD Hehe, couldn't resist.

I think they'll be happy to see each other (although I think Paul won't show it as much as Ash will). Perhaps Paul might tease him a bit (d'awww). I can definitely see them having a battle or even teaming up for a tag battle (Ash/Paul vs Iris/Dento)!

It's not that cliche. It's all about the execution of the story. If you make it good no one will care if it's another story about Shinji holding Satoshi hostage.

If I were to write that story I would save the hostage situation until at least the 2nd or 3rd chapter for suspense purposes. I would probably give Shinji a reason for holding Satoshi hostage too.

I would read the story regardless. We need more Comashipping stories.

Definitely not! I've always wanted to read a story with a plot like that. Sounds very and interesting and I can assure that I'd read it.

Me too. I seriously can't wait to see their farewell in English, that episode seriously was the highlight of my whole summer and it aired when summer was nearly over too O.O

I have like so many.
First would have to be how Ash always tried to be friendly with Paul and Paul always seemed to insult him. I just always love that. You also gotta love how Paul never seemed to give anyone the time of day until Ash. Plus, Ash really got to Paul as Brock pointed out ;D. Oh, and the tag battle. We got like so many hints during their tag battle.
