This episode was terrible but also HILARIOUS due to the sheer amount of bad puns in quick succession. I watched this last and couldn't help but laugh.

"Pikachu has seen the light"

"It's a real bright spark"

"Pikachu has become our biggest fan...!" (While showing an electronic fan.)

A few scenes later Meowth mentions he's as 'hard as nails' and Jessie and James respond by threatening to 'hammer' him.

Oh Team Rocket. There was also a pretty bizarre/terrible line where James offers Ash and co. a "freezy weezy treat".

Yeah! It's weird how when you watch these episodes now, they're hilarious, but back then we didn't understand any of it. This episode was pretty exciting back in the day.

This episode was ok. The puns were funny. Seeing Squirtle and Wartortle work together was really cool, the fire rescue was great.

Seeing Ash and Misty rush in to stop a building that was burning was unnecessary. There was no reason why they needed to do that. It's nice to see Squirtle have an episode dedicated to it including a flashback to the Squirtle Squad as well.

This episode was one of the most memorable. IMO 9/11 puts this in a whole new perspective - a lot of firefighters lost their lives that day, and seeing firefighters in action fills me with patriotism.

Although it was nice seeing the Squirtle and Wartortle, this episode was boring in my opinion. At least they managed to get the job done!

I think this episode is overrated. However, I still like it, 7/10. The puns were funny. And the idea of Water Pokemon as firemen was cool as well!

It was cool seeing Squirtle whip out the old Squirtle Squad sunglasses. I was also glad that Squirtle and Wartortle managed to save that kid from the burning building at the end. But other than that, the episode was a little boring. As soon as I saw that Aidan's firefighting force consisted of members of the Squirtle line, I was expecting the rest of the Squirtle Squad to show up...and I was a little disappointed that it didn't (which in hindsight seems like a dumb thing to be disappointed by...)

I think this episode was pretty alright - not downright awful. Just seeing the whole Squirtle tree and firefighters was awesome and the rivalry between the Squirtle and Wartortle was a nice addition to the whole synopsis too.

It was an okay episode. It was nice to see Squirtle have a rivalry with a Pokemon. And Wartortle was the perfect Pokemon for it. I liked the Misty took control of setting out the fire. Even though she didn't succeed.
