It seemed Filler-ish at first, but it was fine by the time I watched it all. I liked how Stantler was using illusions to make it appear as if an entire Stantler herd were present. You'd think the writers were done with illusions after the Hoot-hoot episode, but it still worked in this one. I wish Brock had caught the little Stantler; why must he always be outdone by everyone else? Ugh! 7/10.

I actually enjoyed the use of illusions in this episode more than I did in the Hoothoot episode. It made Stantler more interesting than I thought it was when I originally saw it but i still find it a boring Pok&#233;mon nonetheless. It's too bad that Brock didn't catch this Stantler.

I agree. I guess everybody was thinking that when they saw this episode. The two just seemed to click that well, and personally I found them a better match then Ash and some of his pokemon. Brock's roster should've been this at the end of Johto:

- Onix -> Steelix: Should've evolved around Mahogany Town to fight the Red Gyarados
- Geodude -> Graveler: Should've evolved somewhere at the end of Kanto. Graveler -> Golem: Somewhere at the Whirl Islands
- Zubat -> Golbat: Somewhere in Kanto. Golbat -> Crobat: after the Goldenrod Gymbattle.
- Pineco -> Forretress
- Stantler

Really didn't like this episode. Other than seeing Stantler for the 1st time, this was way to slow-moving for me. The Illusions were very odd. That baby Stantler was really cute.

This episode is so cute! Brock should have caught Stantler! Brock was funny when he tried to imitate Stantler. I almost cried when Brock forced Stantler to leave him. Nice to see an episode focusing on Brock, who should've never been replaced by Cilan...

Nope, bad episode. It was nice to see Brock get some attention since he doesn't get too much of it ever but Stantler is such a boring Pokémon that it made the episode a drag to watch.

really sad episode. brock going against all those stantler was quite cool and then the injured stantler walking there as well... just awesome. 10/10.

A good episode focusing on Brock and his goal of becoming a top notch Pokemon Breeder. I like how him, Stantler, Ash & Misty were all together in the pokemon center. Brock is so nice & caring any girl/pokemon would love someone like that.

That baby Stantler was too cute! I liked this episode, seeing as it focused mainly on Brock and his Breeder skills. I really wanted him to catch it but then he was right to let it go back to it's herd. The end was funny with Team Rocket and the actual herd!

Ah, a good episode that was focused on Brock. For me, it is great to see Brock being a good breeder and the interactions between him and Stantler were really great to see. A lot of filler episodes so far, but the introductions to Pokémons are great in my opinion.

I wish Brock would have caught Stantler. But, it was a young one. But, it's good to see Onix battle something its size for a change.
