The only thing that was good about Drew was his Roselia.
He's a jerk and he probably always will be.
As May begins her training for the Slateport Contest, she and her friends encounter a boy who doesn't think much of her at first. Drew's Roselia proved to be a formidable Pokémon in its own right, but no doubt May's Beautifly will want to catch up. I had to laugh when Drew ordered Roselia to zap Team Rocket's "Zap-Back Mark Two", if that was the name of their electricity-absorbing antenna, and as a result, Ash, May, and Brock were able to secure those Bluk Berries for Mr. Big's Pokémon fireworks. A rivalry between Drew and May I noted toward the end, perhaps as a starting point.
Babylon 5, Codename: Kids Next Door, 24, and now, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I am many things at once, and many people might have different opinions about little, old me. If freedom is my main idea, then harmony, individuality, and modernization are the three attributes I now sense and track. Those three attributes and that idea combined to make the United States of America a great global superpower and Pearlshipping and Wishfulshipping great Pokémon couples, and now, they've combined to make those four shows truly great television programs to me. I will enjoy enthusiastically supporting the Equestrian ponies' adventures for peace, for humankind, for the future.
I like how Drew is acting.
May wasn't need to angree on him, because he is better then her.
And i loved the fireworks in the end.

Drew and Roselia made this episode really enjoyable for me. I liked how May started a rivalry with Drew almost right away; it was almost like Ash and Gary's rivalry which was refreshing to see. Roselia itself was designed for Contests as was May's Beautifly so I see both Pokemon as rivals almost as well. Super awesome plot in this episode, 8/10.

Drew and Roselia were the only good things about this episode. Didn't really care for this one...
All the fights with Drew were a waste. May should have trained to her contest instead of it. I know they have to introduce him, but at least give her the focus with her pokemon...![]()
This episode was ok... It was cool seeing Drew and his Roselia for the 1st time. Drew is really annoying in Hoenn for most of the episodes. It was cool to see Bluk Berries in the Anime for the 1st time. It was great that May was training for the contest in this episode.
27/100
I liked this episode. I miss Drew so much! I don;t care what anyone says about his Roselia.
Elekid's watching you!
Drew was so annoying. Thankfully, he'll never get a speaking role on the show ever again. He is single-handedly the worst rival to ever be on the show bar none. No redeeming qualities to his character and a terrible voice.
That said, this was a fine episode I suppose. May was getting baby-shaken in that battle before the power of friendship kicked in.

Hi, welcome to 2012. Glad you noticed the past tense "was" in the previous sentence. Please use context clues or request for clarification before you attempt being funny especially when the paragraph in question was referring to his character as a whole and not just this episode.

I really couldn't get myself to like his character for some reason. It might be because his character really doesn't interest me in any way and he just seems like a standard rival for the most part. I'd rather have a rival that was a total bore (Zoey and Kenny) or have an interesting personality (Ursula and Harley) as opposed to one that doesn't stand out to me.

I liked to see Drew appear, as a ContestShipper. I'm not a major fan of Drew, but he's a fine rival for May. I liked to see a contest-themed episode. 9/10.
I thought this was a nice episode as both for introducing Drew and seeing May starting to finally practice and seeing both her Pokémon in the spotlight. I mean, this whole first contest-arc feels as a sort of refreshment after the whole Island arc we had.
