Advanced Adventure was kept, if I'm correct in knowing which music you're talking about. I don't know if any other original music was kept.
If Dogasu was right, then Yugioh wouldn't legally be dubable, since every episode has real-life cards. They could have made an exception with it, though, or perhaps found a way passed it (in Yugioh, I mean). Meh, whatever.Originally Posted by Edward Elric
Anyway, I liked this episode especially much compared to some of the other episodes previous to it. Seeing Giovanni is always a good thing.
Like others mentioned, I did think this episode would be a little to bland and tedious if they just looked for Spoink's pearl the whole time, but also like others mentioned, the episode shaped up in the second half.
The Magikarp Salesman is always welcome now and then. His family was humorously ugly, with his nose and all. And he's an only father, how sad (unless he made that whole family thing up along with the Magikarp is a Feebass thing).
I coulda sworn I saw Spoink just balancing on its tail, without hopping. According to the games, Spoink's heartrate would stop if it stops bouncing along with it, but I guess that's a difference between the games and the anime. Or maybe it's just a minor plothole.
Anyway, I'll give this episode an 8/10.

It's nice that they did everything different with him this time- Jessie buys from him instead of James, he actually has more dialogue than his sales pitch (he talks about his family), James recognizes him right away, and the twerps interact with him. I also love the part when Jessie gets hearts in her eyes thinking about getting a milotic.
