I was just wondering if you were a gym leader what type would you specialise in, what pokemon would you have and what moves would they have. The rules are there are no legendaries allowed and you are only allowed 3 pokemon.

I guess I'll kick this off.
Water type (which I'm going to grab in the PASBL as soon as possible).
Swampert
Earthquake
Stone edge
Surf
Roar
Roar away grass types, this guy would be for electric types.
Ludicolo
Toxic
Ice beam
Grass knot
Rain dance
Rain dance to abuse swift swim, STAB grass knot, ice beam for fellow grass types and toxic to annoy.
Starmie
Thunderbolt
Ice beam
Surf
Recover
Pure murder.

PASBL Trainer level one. Wins:4 Losses:0 Draws:0 KO's:3 TP:8 SP:0
I would probably be grass.
Ludicolo
Swift swim
Moves:
Rain Dance
Hydro Pump
Energy Ball
Ice Beam
He is the pokemon to take out enemy fire pokemon. He will do that by using rain dance first to get his speed up and then use hydro pump which is even more powerful due to rain dance.
Cradily
Energy Ball
Stone Edge
Sludge Bomb
Ingrain
He is the flying counter pokemon
Torterra
Wood Hammer
Earthquake
Crunch
Leech Seed
He is the poison type counter.
Overall I think I would be a tough gym leader
I definitely already made this thread lol.

Hmmm this is a difficult decision for me, i'd have to do either an early game water gym (third badge) or a late game grass gym (final bagde)
Water Gym:
Lvl 23 Slowpoke
- Zen Headbutt
- Curse
- Yawn
- Aqua Tail
This move set is illegal for that level but still it makes a fairly decent physical wall at that stage of the game with a high attack power.
Lvl 24 Chinchou
- Thundershock
- Confuse Ray
- Thunder Wave
- Bubblebeam
Thundershock is illegal but its like another 20 levels until chinchou learns a special electric move and as a gym leader i'd use its special attack heavily, Confuse ray and Thunder wave for general annoyance and Bubblebeam for another STAB move
lvl 27 Totodile/ Croconaw (I like how Totodile looks better but i dont know if id replace it with a more powerful Croconaw seeing as it is a gym)
- Ice Fang
- Dive
- Dragon Dance
- Brick Break
My only pokemon on the list that is entirely legal! Pretty much an all round good pokemon for a third gym and i'd have the prize as a TM for dive (though it doesn't exist yet they'll just have to make it a tm instead of a tutor move XD)
The gym layout would be a small grassy islands with some trees on each and a trainer on each island, connected by bridges. I would be on a larger island that sits in the middle a deep pond which the river runs out of. There would be a waterfall behind me and the gym wall would look like a rocky cliff face which the waterfall pours out of. Dunno where all the water goes though XD Badge would be called the Vapor Badge.
My grass gym would be a lot stronger and the layout less adventurous XD
Lvl 50 Tangrowth
- Power Whip
- Block
- Sleep powder
- Rock slide
Block and power whip are illegal but my strategy for this would be to sleep a pokemon and switch if its too much of a threat or sleep and then block it so it cant get away if i think i can take it. Once it's blocked power whip till it faints. Rock slide is there for most flying and ice types.
Lvl 52 Exeggutor
- Psychic
- Sunny Day
- Explosion
- Solarbeam
Takes advantage of exeggutor's high special attack and sunny day makes up for exeggutors abyssmal speed and helps with solarbeam. Explosion for when the going gets tough.
Lvl 55 Torterra
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Leech Seed
- Wood Hammer
Earthquake for STAB, leech seed to negate the self harm from wood hammer and toxic as a suprise status effect for any nusiance pokemon.
Layout would be an indoor dense jungle filled with grass trainers and i would be on a gigantic tree stump that serves as the arena in a forest clearing at the back of the gymprize would have to be wood hammer as a TM if they ever make it one. Badge would be called the Bramble Badge.
Well thats my long drawn out ideas of what i'd have as my pokemon gym in one of the games XD
EDIT: GAH! forgot my badges XD added them in![]()
