!? Anmesia?! Maybe the movie takes place afterwards.
Well, my point was that the animal groups still remain.

Hey, since Lugia is part psychic, maybe it erased those memories from him an the others?

That'd mean he'd have to erase EVERY memory of the stuff that happened, and it had a global effect. That'd take some time...

And as for Ash not remembering them, I find that odd. They knew what Silver was during the Whirl Island eps right?

But Lugia didn't erase their memories because when they met the other Lugia in Johto, Ash mentions he saw a Lugia in the Orange Islands.
Maybe he's playing favorites and only remember the rarest legendary he met in the movie.

It seems the show only wants him to remember certain things. Then again, and correct me if I'm wrong, but they bumped into Arti and Zapdos a good bit into Johto, right? Well he wasn't really THAT involved with the two of them during the movie. Not to the extent that he was with Lugia, or that he has been with Moltres.

LOL Yeah, but in the movie, when Ash saw Zapdos, he's all like "Zapdos!" So he already knew about Zapdos.

    The writers =/= logic

They MIGHT be finger, but they seem to be feathers to me, but if they were feathers, why would Lugia have fingers?

The reason for fingers is that since it swims in the water, it has no need for feathers to slow it down, I guess.

Yes, feathers do seem illogical for swimming, and Lugia looks completely featherless. If you notice at a close-up, Lugia's got an almost rubbery shine.
Also, but what I estimated, Lugia should weigh about 20 tons, not 450 pounds!
What do you mean by "The reason for fingers is that it has no need for feathers". The lack of feathers doesn't explain why it has fingers.

It might have got that shine from being wet. And I KNOW it has feathers, how do you explain the Silver "Feather" that Luka got in the Whirl Islands?

The silver feather is a symbol right? I didnt think it was actually a feather, but thats just me.

I don't think it's a feather either. But another thing supporting your point would be the "something down attack" it can learn from the move tutor (I think). As far as I could tell, "down" was used in the sense of soft feathers. But then again, there is the unmovable, adamant logic of Pokemon. [/SARCASM]

Edit: The attack was featherdance and it could be used in XD after puriying. The descrption talked about down.

Well, I have proof. Remember when Ash and the gang were playing with the baby Lugia in the ocean in Johto?

Luka: "The Silver Wing must be a feather from Lugia."

Remember that? So the "things" on it's wings are feathers.

    THE END.

This is my favorite out of the movies...
The Gem collecting part actually inspired part of the plot of a Disney/daikaiju fanfiction I'm working on.

    I liked this one.
Lawrence bad guy was cool. Naive and lacked common sense but cool.
Slowking, Melody, Marin, Tracy cool too. Liked the slight romance comedy slotted in there.
The bit where Ash is trying to get to that island with Lugia vs. birds was cool.

I'm here. During in this movie, there are hints of kissshipping. I well aware that Misty express her jealousy, but mostly Melody was express her devotion towards Ashy. And I can prove it.

You know, they never really made it that clear. However, I always viewed the Shamouti Lugia as a higher planed Pokemon and the Whirl Island Lugia was just another one of that species, though of lesser power then the 'Great Guardian'
90% of pokemon fans hate/dislike pikachu, if you are one of the 10% who don't copy and paste this in you signiture (started by Rukario907)
I don't calculate stat values, I don't use cheating devices, I don't breed my way to perfection, and I don't care about natures. I catch my Pokemon the way they are, and treat them like individuals instead of brainless drones. If you use this philosophy, copy & paste this into your signature. (Started by Tyranitar)

I don't think they are related, and maybe they take shifts being "The Great Guardian". I mean, it can get tiring after a while XD
