Its my favorite Movie from them all
I love Altomare. It reminds me my favorite city- Venice.
Music is very pretty also. I like "Search For The Girl" and "Stop The Water"
the most. Also, "Secret Garden" is my favorite song.
    Story is very nice also.
What a pity, in english version, Annie and Oakley are TR Members. Because in
original version they are just popular thiefs.

I didn't like this movie as much as the others (probably because it didn't seem like there was any evil force and the fact that alot of it was about the love between a human and a pokemon 0_o). I liked the music, the setting (based on Venice) was good, and I like the plot, but it just didn't have the one factor that made the other pokemon movies good, a Pokemon feel. This movie felt like it was a non-Pokemon related kid's Action/Romance with some pokemon put in randomly. This movie was so-so.

    I give Pokemon Heroes a 7.9.... out of 10.

I was appalled when I found out just how much the backstory had been changed for the dub. Here's my translation of the first scene of the Japanese movie, which was cut entirely in the dub.
Long, long ago, on an island called Alto Mare, there lived an old man and an old woman. One day, the couple found two small children lying injured on the beach. Under the couple's gentle care, the children quickly became well. But then, without warning, the island was attacked by monsters. Within moments, the island fell to the monsters. And then...
Before the astonished eyes of the old man and lady, the children transformed. They were the Eon Pokémon, Latios and Latias. The two called their family from the sky. They came, and brought with them a stone with the power to drive away the monsters. This was the gem known as the "Soul Dew". Peace returned to the island. In the years that followed, the Latios and Latias family often visited the island where the Soul Dew rested. And since that time, the island has never again been attacked.

Don't believe me? Translate it yourself. This transcription has been confirmed as accurate by my Japanese professor, a native speaker.

The ending of this movie made me cry... poor Latias , but I loved it when she went to Ash for comfort.

I'm not sure who kissed Ash at the end but I love Brock's reaction!

In the end I am sure it was latias who kissed Ash, because Bianca has the white coloured hat but the girl that kissed Ash doesn't so it just has to be Latias.

i know this is very old, but that is a common misjudgement

when lorenzo called bianca just before ash left, her hat was left in her room
and right after ash was kissed, latias was flying in the air with latios

yet im not sure if bianca developed enough emotion towards ash enough to be kissing him

i guess we'll never know who really kissed ash

I think it might have been Bianca Impersonating Latias, because if you look closely (actually not that closely at all) Bianca's hat , which is the only visual difference between Latias and Bianca, is hanging on the drawing easel in Bianca's room. I think she was too shy to admit her feelings directly, but could do so if she pretended to be Latias. After all, anyone can keep their mouth shut. But it could be that Bianca made the drawing for Latias, and that it was Latias who was on the docks. I really don't know. still, it was a cute scene

Well of corse it was a cute scene, CrazyYanmega!t made me squee like crazy when I saw it. There really ins't ever much of even a hint of a kissing scene in pokemon. Why did they have to make is so, kiddish! I mean they could try to make it a little more interesting...but Pokemon is like one of the only animes ment for kids, that contiuasly makes it still appropriate for them...

But that doesn't mean that a 15 year-old and older don't watch it! YAY it's crazy fun. But Bianca was really th most obviouse for that play-off. If only they could make it more twisted! lol

Well, where-ever you got that, it's false. Alto Mare WAS attacked by monsters. They were: Aerodactyl & Kabutops. If you want proof, BUY THE DVD!!!!!

That's when the town was named Altomare, which means "high sea." That's also when they built the D.M.A. They wanted to make sure that no one would ever disrupt their peace again."

Basically, the Japanese legend is completely different. There was no attack by ancient pokemon, and water wasn't just brought to the town.
The thing about Aerodactyl and Kabutops attacking the town was a dub thing. So in the American version, they did attack the town. In the Japanese version, they didn't.

Meowth had a crush on a human girl in a Kanto episode... I say it was Latias. Watching the scene thinking of her as Bianca makes less sense to me than Latias. If one of them kissed him, Latias seems most likely to me.

This is my second favourite movie. I really liked the water city setting of Altomare. I enjoyed the Pokemon water race at the beginning of the movie. I also liked the Master Quest song that was playing.

The music is really good especially when Ash is chasing Latias.

I liked the ending when Bianca/Latias kissed Ash. And finally an ending without Team Rocket in it.

I give this movie 9 out of 10.

This one is my favorite! It's so cool, and I LOVE Latias and Latios. They're my favorite legendaries, and I loved seeing them in a movie!
    Poor Latias at the end...... ;_;

    Gotta love this one!

Pokemon Hero's was okay but not one of my fave movies Latias was cute. This movies is not one of my faves but I could sit through it again.
    7/10
Claiming is overrated, can be fun sometimes but others silly. I only claimed Henry Cavill as no one really knows him.

Oh yeah and i'm paired up with the cool Chuboy.

Claimed Henry Cavill on the Celebrity Claiming thread...he's all mine muh ha ha ha ha...^^;.

    Best. Movie. Ever.
Really. I wouldn't normally slap a 10/10 rating on any of these movies, but this one was particularily beautiful. Altomare's design was just gorgeous and the music was wonderful; My favorite soundtrack too. :3 The three versions of Kanon's theme were my favorites. The character designs and development were equally nice. On top of all that, Hitoribocchi Ja Nai was a nice ending for the movie. :3 (Can anyone tell me what the dub's was like?)

As for the story, it was nice and unique. The ending made me cry, but was then finished off with that particularily adorable scene with Satoshi and Kanon...or Ratiasu? :3

The music used over the end credits in the dub is a compendium of songs, mostly from the 2BA Master album. While I generally prefer they keep the original music in foreign films, the music they chose actually works well over the credits. The best song is the end credit opener, "One World" (which may have been written for this purpose?), played over the moments Ash & Co is boating away from Altomare and sees the new recruits flying toward the island.

I bought the soundtrack several weeks ago (yes, I think this film definitely has the best soundtrack also ), and the original end credit music has been growing on me now, also.

Naturally, this film is my fave finally knocking the first film from from my #1 spot after so many years. Much more to say when I have the time to gather my thoughts....
Latias aways gets a little carried away when it involves love - or perhaps that would better describe Ash in this situation! ^_^

    AltoShipping is Pikachu-approved! ^_^

Yeah, definitely the best soundtrack. I'm trying to get the CD. I've got the 2BA Master album so I could sing along to em xD I love The Time Has Come! And My Best Friends is cool too! And... etc.

I particularly don't like this movie as much as the Jirachi movie, but it has awesome music in the original. The dub really isn't too well though.
Here's Why: They messed up the color
The music should've been kept from the original
They totally messed up the story! They didn't include the beginning part, they actually said Annie and Oakly were working for TR when they have NOTHING to do with them. The other thing i don't like about this movie is the fact that Misty and Brock are only featured for a few minutes in the movie >.<....
Although there are a few reasons why i do like this movie: Latias is really cute, and i think it's cool that it can transform into people. The italian music really sounds cool.
I loved the fact that Latias really cared about Ash and gave him a tiny kiss at the end, unless that was Bianca, but i'm pretty sure it was Latias (:

well this movie will always be my fav for the main reason that it was the movie that made me fall in love with pokemon the other things that made this movie awesome
    1. setting- the city was beautifully done, a good change of pace from the what i think is the boring places the other movies took place in, not to mention i love Venice
2.good storyline- i really liked the storyline, they made it for a more general audience which made it more appealing although they could have went deeper with the storyline
3.music-what can i say about the music, i still listen to the sound track everyday, i love "search for the girl" and (this may sound wierd) every time i hear "stopping the water" i get goosebumps just thinking about the movie, and off course the awesome redistion(err not spelled right) of "I Believe"
    4. My favorite pokemon-Latias of course is SO cute
5.Bianca-ummm no comment (i love her)

but yeah i love it so much

As you say, Yes, I agree wtih you.

Music: one of the music is played by Harmonica, this music is very exotic. But the style of the music is like France and Italian .

Storyline: well done. When Ash is looking the girl, because pikachu is chasing the girl and he saved the girl from suffering. Ash chase her, until they go to the garden. Wow, make me excitied. When Latios was arrested, Latias told Ash to save her brother, then Ash use any methods to save Latios. He is a heroes. Finally, Latios sacrified himself to save the city, this make me sadly .io feel that Latios is a great hero.

Good 3D movie: From pokemon 2000, many screens ,action and some pokemons are acted, drawn by 3D engine, that make me very interesting to see Pokemon movies . Because usual japanese cartoon, don't use 3D engine.
In Pokemon heroes, many screens are used 3D engine to created or acted.

Beautiful city: the water city, may be Reference from Venice in Italy. Very beatiful and classical city.

It also doesn't help for me that this was the first movie without Team Rocket helping, the motto, or Team Rocket ending the movie. I did like the whole thing with Ash, Latias, and Bianca, especially the end scene (Misty and Brock were so funny). I wish that Misty and Brock had had more of a role in the movie, though. They really don't do that much. The part where Brock is inspired when he sees the light in the window is funny, but I still wish he and Misty had had more to do.

    3/5 for me.
I have to agree, Team Rocket and Kasumi and Takashi(sp?) had little roles in the movie. Latios also had a surprisingly small role in the movie as well... o_O Even Kanon and the old man have more of a role then he does... o_O

Yes, he is arrested by two girls who are famous pokemon terriosts. They use him to control all of water city by big machine in the church
