I understand the whole your computer your problem thing, but it wasn't a computer and they weren't even the same. I was on my kindle doing this like I always do some my computer can't connect to the internet anymore, and my sister comes on. We have the same kindle app and user the same wifi when she starts telling everyone I was gay.. people talk about how they were straight and I think, jokingly told me never to touch them. I AM NOT EVEN GAY BY THE WAY. Anyway, after they said that I jokingly put in /me touched them. A guy named Zekrom complained and while this whole thing was going on, my sister, under the nick Kitty_ was saying some stuff. I don't remember exactly but everyone kept saying I had a nice clone, and I even tried to ask in #help how to fix it, but nobody could help me. So everyone was saying kitty_and I should be banned then they banned her and I got stuck being banned along with her.

Sorry but even though it sounds like you two were using two different devices to connect, you're still on the same network. You should really bring this up with your sister (assuming you're even telling the truth...). She got banned for spamming and saying "I rape you" which is absolutely not okay. It's an untimed ban, and for us to ban her we have to ban you as well since it's the same network.

That's for the forum, the chat doesn't have that expectation. In reality, we're not responsible for what your siblings or parents or whatever do in the chat, we just ban when it's appropriate. Your ban is untimed, it's not permanent. But it could be if your "sister" comes in again and continues spamming and saying she'll rape people.

Yes, you share the same network, therefore if we must permanently ban her for breaking the rules there isn't a way to make sure it doesn't ban you. It's a con of sharing the same network. I learned that the hard way when at age 10, I got bored and spammed up AOL chatrooms (back when dial up was a thing). AOL suspended our entire internet service which affected my mom and brother's access. So really, you need to take this up with your sister if you don't want to get banned.

There's no way she would stop just because we would both be banned. Does it affect everything? Like my dad's iPod or the computers? Like, would I still be banned if I used those instead?

I recently moved into my new home and set up internet and everything, I haven't been onto serebii's chat systems in over 6 months. I figured I'd log into the wifi chat and find a battle only to find out I've been text banned

this just means you used a phrase that's blocked in wifi, not that you're banned. the words that are blocked (and will prevent your message being sent) are:

"dead"
"rng"
"wow"
"lol"
"amsg"
"rofl"

almost all lines that contain one of these words are spam (or in the case of rng, against the rules), so we block them to make out jobs a little easier
