Looks like Zetman is another adaption that raped its source material. It can go join Fullmetal Alchemist and Blue Exorcist in my repressed memories.

I got bored of Ao, so right now I'm only watching HxH. I'm actually really liking this adaption. The fact that it's adapting a manga with 30 volumes helps.

Admittedly I didn't watch Gosick when it first came out. All I've seen is the opening and this video which is almost enough for me to go check it out. Maybe someday... are the mysteries really good?

im only on episode 4, but its some sherlock holmes type of sh*t. the only complaint i have is the art is a bit too kiddy.

Come to think of it I think I agree that Clannad had a stronger first two episodes. It establishes the majority of the characters in the series and Tomoya's daily life really well. There's good humor, dramatic hints of what's to come, and it only takes one scene to set up how close Nagisa is to her family. In Hyouka's first two episodes it seems that it has shown less focus on all the characters (with the smaller cast and all) but tries to draw in the audience with the mysteries it has/is going to have later. Oreki and Chitanda both have a firm hold on my interest, but the other two haven't made that sort of impression. Oreki's laziness is akin to Tomoya's dislike of his father, at the two episode mark we don't know what the real cause of it is yet. The ending of episode 2 in both cases have cliffhangers revolving the "main girl" of the series.

I gotta say, the first two episodes of Clannad had some really hilarious moment such as Tomoya telling the whole class that Kyou is a bi, lol, I actually laughed out loud on that scene. Not to mention how much better of a friendship Sunohara and Tomoya have in comparison to Oreki and Satoshi.

Oh God, such a tearjerking episode. Poor Fuko ;_;

I gotta say, the first two episodes of Clannad had some really hilarious moment such as Tomoya telling the whole class that Kyou is a bi, lol, I actually laughed out loud on that scene. Not to mention how much better of a friendship Sunohara and Tomoya have in comparison to Oreki and Satoshi.

Episode 8 is always a tearjerker. Great to hear you're having a good time with Clannad, it's part of the reason why I love that studio so much.

Seeing as everyone else is dropping Zetman after episode 5 I'm not even going to bother.

Finished Chihayafuru. That's one of the best anime I've seen in a while. I grew really attached to the characters, even some of the minor ones. The writing was really well done. It's incredible how they can make something that seems for boring and make it so intense. And every single match was unique, which was mega-impressive. Not to mention this show has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard.

I can see myself doing that, It's an ongoing manga right? And as long as it doesn't have a conclusive ending, the case will most likely be that I'll be begging for more.

You should really check it out, it's sorta reminiscent of Kaiji but not dark at all.

I don't think I was that fast. I got to episode 11 in one day but then I took the rest slow at about an average of 3 a day or so.

I don't know if I can agree or not as I haven't read the manga (I dislike the show entirely on its own merits) but if it's halfway decent then I guess 'rape' could legitimately be called. The main reason I reply is that I vehemently object to your choice of example.
