Well... the ending of Eureka Seven AO wasn't as bad as I feared. That doesn't mean it was good, though, and I didn't enjoy the overall series much.
Spoiler:- From the New World, or should I say...:
...Shin Sekai Yuri? After my initial "what the heck is going on here??" reaction, I thought about it and concluded that all the gay relationships don't follow the same kind of romance as we're used to. At least, I think that's why the whole "society of love" thing was explained in episode 4. I'm thinking this because there are just so many gay relationships compared with straight ones in the main cast's age group, so it's more to do with stress-relieving closeness with those you feel the most comfortable with than feelings of love. But I guess there are those, like Mamoru, whose feelings of love for someone make such a relationship feel like a betrayal. He must have it tough having to shoulder that stress without having the same outlet that the others do.
Or it could be pandering to yaoi and yuri fans. Either or.

Reason: Much at all? What am I even saying?
100% of information in signatures on this forum involving percentages is false. If you feel as cheated by this atrocity as I do, don't you dare copy this into your signature.
Hold on... if this percentage was correct at the time of print, that means the actual percentage of false information is less than 100% if this signature is included. Which means that... no! I've become a slave to the system!!

Spoiler:- :
The society does seem to encourage homosexuality, at least at a younger age so it isn't really out of place.
Spoiler:- Minor spoiler:
According to relationship spoilers I stumbled upon, Mamoru does eventually get to hit that, so it's not all bad.
watch the original eureka seven and stop there. both the movie and ao were bad.

Finished Kaze no Stigma. Kind of sad to hear the author died. Might be late, but my condolences go out to his family. I hope they got through it all well. Gonna start on Sword Art Online. I began to read it a while ago, but I heard the manga isn't long so I'm just gonna check out the anime.
Credit goes to MagicMochi. Check out their shop.

I'm really picky about anime, and prefer more adult, philosophical shows to the stuff aimed at kids. Plus I'm more into western animation. But the other day I was in the mood for anime, so I asked for recommendations on another forum, and decided to watch Baccano!, based on finding the premise totally cool. Well, it lived up to its premise and more. It's chalk full of great characters, thrilling action, incredible (and apparently fairly accurate) period art direction, a jazzy soundtrack, and ISAAC AND MIRIA AKA THE BEST CHARACTERS IN ANYTHING EVER.

I have a friend who keeps persisting me to watch that. The summary of it never caught my eye (but I've learned those summaries don't help at all) so is it really that good and worth watching? Or are you just over-hyping it like I do with Mirai Nikki? ('Cause, you know, freaking best anime in the history of mankind)
