The new series of AKB0048 didn't start off well, it was messy and incoherent, was peppered with the stupid boob jokes that ruined one the episodes last series and featured a pointless concert with no context or action as well as flashbacks that are pointless to returning viewers but not clear enough to be any help to newcomers. However, things picked up significantly with Chieri going all Nelson Mandela in that court scene and the flipping epic rescue concert and it won me over all over again. Definitely hyped for this going forward.

I just finished Steins;Gate about a week ago - it's a WTF anime, but it all made sense by the end of it. So good! *U*
I also just finished Toradora!, and don't know what to watch now. I'm really anime-lacking even though I just finished this one five minutes ago... T^T

I've been xonstantly bugged to watch Vampire Knight... but I'm not sure if it's my thing. I may re-watch Higurashi again... but school. >.<

Kokoro Connect had a great final arc - I'd say it's tied with the second as my favourite. One of the things that impressed me most about the series was that it ended up linking so many things (some big, some tiny) from previous episodes and arcs to drive character dynamics in a believable way. It felt really well thought out, which I think is extra important for a show with a lot of drama. Super series!

I'm currently watching subbed episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. Just the ones that I skipped over on my first run through of the series. I'm also watching subbed Digimon Tamers episodes. I watched a few a long time ago and I thought I should finish the series in Japanese since it's more consistent than the dub, plus I felt a bit nostalgic. The only issue that I have with the Japanese version is the music; it's kind of lame. I actually prefer the dub's BGM because it has a sense of urgency that the Japanese BGM lacks.

Little bit concerned about where the new arc of Railgun is going. The first part was PLOT PLOT PLOT and has almost nothing to do with the main characters and instead focuses on a bunch of thugs. It's like they're just there for the ride. I want to see character development dammit! Build further upon the awesome setup you did with the first season! Continue with that blend of slice of life and flowing narrative that got me so excited in the first place!

I'm still don't have Uni for another month or so, and my friends who I care enough about to actually hang out with all seem to be on family holidays, so I don't have much too do besides watch anime, and Hunger x Hunger had me massively hooked in.

The only problem I have with it so far is not enough Hisoka screen time.

The premise of a teenage girl with ESP having been isolated from her peers as a child sounded interesting enough for me to give Kotoura-San a try. The first episode dealt with her childhood whilst also having room for detailing her beginnings at a new school. I liked the tone - it could easily have been too dour or too silly, but it was neither. Instead, it was emotional in the parts it needed to be, and equally uplifting in other parts. Very good start, and I'm optimistic about this series's future.
