Uh, probably not, since they seem to be born from human spirit (or something).

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou - 21/24
    YuruYuri - 12/12

Great episode of Hunter x Hunter. In the midst of all the action, it's wonderful to still be seeing an unbreakable friendship and trust being built up slowly throughout the series. Sometimes I don't even notice it happening, but whenever said friendship or trust is demonstrated, it feels so right and natural.

As the name implies, Kaiji is basically a story about one man. On one hand, this means that you don't really have evolving relationships between characters, but on the other, it forcibly brings the thriller aspect onto centre stage. The stakes are always unreasonably high, and Kaiji has no special gifts to help him out - just his brains and his perseverance. And he frequently gets scared too, like any reasonable person would in his situation. All this makes Kaiji's escapes from dire situations all the more breathtaking. A thriller in its purest form.

YuruYuri had pretty flat characters (and therefore some repetitive jokes), but it was quite pleasant to watch overall, especially as something to counterbalance Kaiji's high-stakes thriller action.

100% of information in signatures on this forum involving percentages is false. If you feel as cheated by this atrocity as I do, don't you dare copy this into your signature.
Hold on... if this percentage was correct at the time of print, that means the actual percentage of false information is less than 100% if this signature is included. Which means that... no! I've become a slave to the system!!

Watch some anime with my friends today. Chuunibyou and Working!!. So Jun Fukuyama as the main character for both. It was really fun to see my one friend constantly cringing from all the second-hand embarrassment that Chuunibyou brought on. And since they're both such great comedies good times were had.

Are you going to watch the second part? Sadly there's no Tonegawa and his awesome speeches but everything else is just as exciting.

Yeah, I'll definitely watch the second part. Maybe not right away, though - I quite like having a break in between seasons of an anime. I'll come back to it after watching some other stuff.

Finally finished All 26 episodes of Bakemonogatari last week, over the course of 2 weeks.

Saving Nekomonogatari Black to hold me over until Season 2 begins.

Have to say Bakemonogatari has the best harem in the last 20 years of anime.

Completing Bake+Nise was quite the challenge considering I had tried to get through the first episode over 5 times over the last couple years but just could not do it. Finally pushed through and it is among the anime I've most enjoyed over the past 4 years since I got heavily into anime.

I rank it right up there with such classical masterpieces as Madoka and Penguindrum and K-On!/!!

Also Hachikuji is the best loli in the history of all loli existence, while yet not technically a loli since she would have been like 19 or 20 iirc if she were alive upon her encounter with Koyomi     Spoiler:- spoiler:

Also finished K-On!/!!, only need to see the movie for completion.

Quote Originally Posted by pokeninja123 View Post
The anus (from Latin anus, meaning "ring, anus", which is from the Proto-Indo-European ano–, meaning "ring" ) is an opening at the opposite end of an animal's digestive tract from the mouth. Its function is to control the expulsion of feces, unwanted semi-solid matter produced during digestion, which, depending on the type of animal, may include: matter which the animal cannot digest, such as bones;[1] food material after all the nutrients have been extracted, for example cellulose or lignin; ingested matter which would be toxic if it remained in the digestive tract; and dead or excess gut bacteria and other endosymbionts.

Amphibians, reptiles, and birds use the same orifice (known as the cloaca) for excreting liquid and solid wastes, and for copulation and egg-laying. Monotreme mammals also have a cloaca, which is thought to be a feature inherited from the earliest amniotes via the therapsids. Marsupials have a single orifice for excreting both solids and liquids and, in females, a separate vagina for reproduction. Female placental mammals have completely separate orifices for defecation, urination, and reproduction; males have one opening for defecation and another for both urination and reproduction, although the channels flowing to that orifice are almost completely separate.

The development of the anus was an important stage in the evolution of multicellular animals. It appears to have happened at least twice, following different paths in protostomes and deuterostomes. This accompanied or facilitated other important evolutionary developments: the bilaterian body plan, the coelom, and metamerism, in which the body was built of repeated "modules" which could later specialize, such as the heads of most arthropods, which are composed of fused, specialized segments.
    Very informative.

I have to say one thing. You should have already have known what Kagaku na Yatsura is before watching. Obviously it isn't going to appeal to everyone as it just as obviously appeals to certain niche audience. I personally loathed it as it was such a shameless borderline hentai. Anyways, back to actually watching something good I am still watching Eureka Seven and am finishing Baccano both are good shows.

    Chihayafuru 2 - 9/25
From the New World - 23/25
    Hunter x Hunter (2011) - 70/?
    Kaiba - 6/12
    Kotoura-San - 9/12
    Little Busters! - 22/26
    Psycho-Pass - 20/22
    Space Brothers - 48/?
The Pet Girl of Sakurasou - 22/24

Picked Kaiba back up again after having put it on hold goodness knows how long ago. I had to rewatch most of the four episodes I'd already seen because I'd forgotten a lot about the series. The depiction of a universe with memory trading and transfer made possible is interesting, but I kind of wish they'd explore those issues while developing the plot a little more...

I speedrun DS Pokémon games. Currently, I speedrun Pokémon X, and I've also ran Pokémon Pearl and White 2 in the past. If you want to see Pokémon games pushed to their limits (or if you want to do so yourself!), check out the Pokémon Speedruns website, and if you want to watch me, catch me on my Twitch channel.

    Couldn't resist and gave in..............

    Nekomonogatari Black 4/4

Given that I matured towards enjoying Shaft's more abstract art-styled anime, does anyone recommend Hidamari Sketch or Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei?

Hidamari Sketch is K-ON! if it was animated by Shaft, definitely worth a try.
