Kid all you want, that's exactly what they should have done. Although don't do it how Photokano has done it, and give one girl six episodes while every other girl gets one episode.

Mushishi was an enjoyable series. The only problem I had with it was that it got repetitive. Other than that, I found it pretty good

I was so happy when Fukuda made an appearence in the latest episode of Space Bros. That made my day

And Hunter X Hunter and Attack on Titan are still as strong as ever

Now, I hope Rozen Maiden is good. That'd be nice

    Attack on Titan- 9/25

Wow, this show just continues to blow me away. If past examples are anything to go by, that plot twist should have screwed everything up and set it on the wrong path. But you know what? They pulled it off better than I could have ever hoped to. Actually, I'd say that it's better this way. Sure Eren came back, but the position he's in isn't exactly ideal. The reasons why it happened make perfect sense and were forshadowed well in advance.

Screw waiting for new episodes, I can't take it. I'm going to start reading the manga

The Vision of Escaflowne - 26/26 - COMPLETE

That was beautiful ;_;. Such a sweet ending. Definitely one of my top favorites, I really do wish I've seen it sooner. But the movie is just as good, if only as a story of its own right, so I suppose it was a nice way to get into Escaflowne was through the movie as a teenager. The dub got better overtime, so it was a plus to hear their voices as how they (almost) sounded in the movie by the last episode. The opening theme is very beautiful, though due to its romantic nature, it brings out some memories in me that made me sad |D. Aw well.

For sure one of these days I will get the series for my own future household, what a masterpiece.

Apparently so. I don't see it being that difficult, but I guess I don't think like they do. Reasonable decisions may actually cause legitimate pain to them.

    Wholly agree with you.

I guess I hate myself enough that I'm going to go ahead and watch the Sonic the Hedgehog movie--dubbed. I can't seem to find the six-episode Jojo's Bizarre Adventure OVA, so to kill some time, I'm gonna go ahead and watch some movies, starting with Sonic.

Then I'll look for Akira. Whichever version I find I'll sit through.

Honestly, though, "cool concept, **** execution" seems to be a huge problem with anime in general.

It is very messy and non-sequitur(SP?).

Mirai Nikki, which ppl bitched and moaned about may have had it's messy parts, or overusage of rape and murder, but it more or less had a narrative.

Dansai-Crime-Edge has me wondering what the hell I'm watching EVERY week.

That should not be happening with SUBS.

Finally got started back into the Pokémon anime after not watching it this constant since way back in early DP arc. Started watching it again mainly because of the Episode N arc going on right now and the fact Team Plasma is hands down my favorite villians every in any type of media. Going to continue watching it when the dub picks up Da! arc. Then , who knows, maybe even further into the XY arc. It just depends on the pace of the series since the flaw in the DP arc was the huge gaps between the plot based episodes with the countless amount of fillers.

Besides, I'm really liking how the arc is going. Really looking forward to see Charizard return in this upcoming episode in the dub.

    Claimed...

The movie came out rather recently. I'm planning on watching it myself soon, especially since I saw three (four?) of his works by now.

    Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie
    AKIRA

'Kay, for the Sonic movie, if it wasn't for the voice acting and Sera, I would like it more than I do. I don't know a whole lot about Sonic, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Strange, isn't it?! Robotnik's voice was the most tolerable, though it got iffy here and there. I shouldn't be too surprised about the voice acting, though, since it was ADV that dubbed it.

AKIRA, in the meantime, was amazing. Sure, the story dragged and it kinda lost me in some parts (didn't help I was trying hard not to fall asleep), but the animation, my Lord! Really some of the best animation I've seen, and this came out in 1988! It could give Don Bluth a run for his money! It held up so well, and I hope it continues to hold up for a long time. I'm glad I saw it, I can see why it's such a landmark, and that we owe it thanks for paving the way for anime to be further distributed in the West.

Also, I watched the dub, but it was the 2001 re-dub. Still sounded a little clunky here and there, honestly, but it's good. I was kinda hoping to find the original dub, though xD.

And a nice big **** YOU goes out to Jolteon91 for making me watch that absolute masterpiece. The animation was so astounding I was actually furious watching the first ten minutes. Every few seconds it was just "Come on. Stop being so gorgeous." Not to mention in the short viewing time I felt a very strong connection to the characters emotionally with a massive payoff in the end. **** you. That's not fair. That's too perfect. ****.

Edit: Oh, I guess I should watch 5 Centimeters Per Second, huh? Whoops.

Keeping these in mind, and with the occasional stylistic hops (e.g. into monochrome for the fight sequences), I think that one of its problems may just be that it is way too goddamned scattershot for its own good. It tries to be a few too many things, honestly. It misses the mark on many of them, and ends up being unsettling in, honestly, most of the wrong ways.

Also, the complete lack of film noir elements despite what I'd imagined from the title makes me fairly sad, but I guess that can't be helped.

That said, though, I'm going to keep at it, because... well, something is wrong with me, I guess. Or maybe I'm hoping for it to pick up.

(Also, I haven't actually watched Mirai Nikki, but I tend to get a little... down on the yandere character type. If everything else about the YamiBou ending hadn't been utter crap, that sudden character shift by the lead would have ruined it for me.)

Working on my backlog of currently airing/Spring 2013 series.

Still have Photo-Kano and Gargantia to catch up on, and Red Data Shoujo, albeit to a lesser extent.
Not sure if I'll do this for Summer-2013 season, seeing as the current shows are keeping me from watching older anime(READ: anything prior to Spring 2013 season)

I don't think The Severing Crime Edge is as bad as some people are making it out to be. It is way too focused on trying to appeal to the "weird fetishes" camp, though. The relationship between the main two is getting more unsettling by the episode (I can't say that's bad, just not what I was expecting), but that may be intentional. I do like the idea of the Authors slowly losing their sanity as they kill.

I also don't think it's similar enough to The Future Diary that you can say things like
