What are you going to name your character/rival?

I'm going to name my character Casey, cause that's my name.

I accidently named my rival Bill last time when I was confused about what they wanted me to do. I think I want to name him Dante...come to think about it, that would be cool. Or something else from the Divine Comedy, maybe Virgil. Back when I got my Pearl I named my Piplup Styx. XD

IDK but but I named my main character Taylor. I liked it, and it'll prolly work for me this time around. My rival tho hmmm maybe Raymond (my real life pokemon rival)

I'll just go with Gold for the main character and Silver for the rival. Real original I know but at least its not a name that i'll end up regretting.

Guess it depends on the list of choices you get to choose from. If I don't care for any of those I will just do the whole Gold/Silver thing as well depending on the version.

when i get heart gold imma name myself Vivi as usual.
OR i might go paricularly old-school and go with my very old name, Pkmn Rage, if i decide i wouldn't be embarrassed going online with that name XD

and for my rival, i go oldschool. Imma name him Gailien. He's a gay alien :P my brothers and i always named him that in gold/silver version :P

If I play as the guy, "Ash", if I play as the chick, "Peach". Bwahaha, I shall call the rival Paul.

SoulSilver (Main Game): I'll be a boy and be called Zach (my name) and my rival will be ???.
HeartGold: I'll be a girl and be called Delancey and my rival will be Crocbum, because i named him that in Crystal when i was about 5

In HeartGold I will be playing as the female character, and I'll probably just call her after my real name, "Lauren".
As for my rival, I think I'll call him "Crimson" as his hair is that kind of colour and he also seems quite evil at times so I think that "Crimson" would be a fitting name. Either that or I'll just call him "Soul" for SoulSilver. x3

I think I'd call myself Gold or Jimmy, or my rival Silver or Vincent, just so it has a manga / or anime feel.

In Gold I'll name the hero Jimmy - because that's what I go by - and the rival will be Apollo. In Silver - I plan on playing as the girl - I'll name her Jo and the rival will be Matt.

Oh, yes! I just thought of a rival name.
I will name him Ronnie (maybe Ron, but more so to Ronnie)
and I will name myself what I do on every freakin' Pokemon game I have ever played:
my real name.

I'll be naming myself Man. Utd and my rival will be named Arsenal. All my friends and I used to do that back in the Golden days (pun intended). Or i could be a little different and name myself something else and my rival will be Hobknocker (if it fits).

I'll be naming myself Ash and my rival Gary like I've been doing in all my games since the first one I've played: Pokemon Crystal.

Back then, I was just starting out with Pokemon and thought Gold and Red/ Ash were the same person.

and i will name my rival Bryan do to the fact that is the name of my friend who will be getting the game the same day i do and he will be the one i will be battling the most
