I think Kabutops is a better choice, it is not constricted, like Omastar, to a restricted movepool of Water type moves.

Hmm... I can't decide because I like them both. But for now, I'll have to stick with Omastar because I don't have a Kabuto nor Kabutops yet. And... Omastar looks cooler that Kabutops, IMO.

Omaster is my first choice because I like omanyte as well, whereas I only like Kabutops not Kabuto.

I mostly choose mine based on looks, so my first reaction is straight-up Kabutops. They both have the same types, but Omastar has a wider range of moves and is more defensive whilst Kabutops still learns powerful moves, but hits harder and faster. I'd personally prefer Kabutops, but it's just a matter of personal preference.

If it's personal preference, then Kabutops. If it's whichever (you think) is the better battler, I would go with Kabutops. It does have a wider movepool, last I remember.

Omastar, really a force to reckon with rain dance on Advance, only water absorb pkmn and Blissey have fun switching on it...

I use spc. attackers so I prefer Omastar.But if you want an attacker choose Kabuto

I prefer Omastar, owing to the fact of a Rain Dance/Hydro Pump combo can wipe out nearly any non water/grass/Blissy opponet. But it's your choice.

As far as battling goes Omastar is better. It's one of the most deadly UU Pokemon out there.
