You want real punk rock? Listen to the classics: the Ramones, the Stimulators, the Sex Pistols, and most especially the Clash.
A newer band is Bantoom Rooster. They're pretty good.

Anyway, I've recently started listening to the Artic Monkeys. They're good.
    Tenpole Tudor.

I love new wave music (Oingo boingo, Devo, Gary Numan etc.)

Call me Shinzon. Or Picard. Or whatever.

I'm into a lot of tracks, some make me look crazy but other's I am slightly embarrased about:

Avenged Sevenfold: My favourite from them is Nightmare, man are they awesome
Rammstein: I've listened to four of his songs and he's alright but he is pretty weird
Linkin Park: I've decided I want 'In The End' to be played at my funeral
Katy Perry: Watching the offical video of california gurls and listening to hot n cold...Awesome
Kayne West: Great Rapper, Power is a fantastic song
Elena Siegman: Creepy emo singer but great at it, strangely I am drawn to it
Selena Gomez: ............Oh God why am I revealing this But some of her songs are good, tremendous voice
Black Eyed Peas: Where is the Love and Good Night are hilarious, Will.I.Am is pretty cool
Pitbull: I remember a joke off Youtube about this after listening to some of his tracks. Girl: Can you count 1-5 in spanish? Boy: Sure 1 2 3 4, Uno Dos Tres Cuatro Girl: And 5? Boy: I know you want me! Pitbull is epic though
Rick Astely: Come on, never gonna give you up is a classic that can never die
    Marilyn Manson: Creepy and Cool
Robert Tenner: I think he is the guy who sang No Easy Way Out in Rocky, that was a great song
H.I.M: Buried Alive by Love is a fantastic song

And recently about half an hour ago, I heard the song 'Animal I've Become' and 'Let the Bodies hit the floor' as well as 'On the Floor'. Two different types of songs yet their all awesome...
If you're a DC comics fan, GTA or Saints Row fan, hit me up with a vm, I'm always looking to talk to new people for my favourite stuff!

If you've just found these guys, go check out Riot (explicit warning), Pain, and The Good Life. Very catchy tunes and Adam's voice is great. World So Cold, and Over And Over are also good. Also, DEFINITELY if nothing else listen to my personal favorite, I Don't Care (Spotify has better quality). Adam collaborates with Apocalyptica, a Metallica cover band made up of four cellists. Three Days Grace is pretty simple as far as their songs go, but Adam's voice makes up for it all.

My favourite artists currently would have to be...

Muse (Favourite song is Citizen Erased)
Enter Shikari (Favourite song is Quelle Suprise)
Imagine Dragons (Favourite song is Demons)
30 Seconds to Mars (Favourite song is Vox Populi)
Rise Against (Favourite song is Wait For Me)

My favourite band ever is Muse; no doubt about that. But Imagine Dragons come seriously close. They've been around for a while, but are just starting to become much more widely known. So far, they've only released their EP Continued Silence and one song: 'It's Time'. If you haven't already, then I seriously suggest you go and listen to them.

My taste in music is very wide. On my iPod, I have everything from Justin Bieber to Eminem. And everything in between.
Even though my favourite band is The Kovenant.

With blood and rage of crimson red, ripped from a corpse so freshly dead.

Usually when people say they listen to a "wide variety of songs" they just list 3 genres and that's it.

But I honestly do listen to a wide variety of songs..some more in depth then others, but it's a variety anyway you slice you.

    I listen to:

Pop/Hip hop- LMFAO, Katy perry, Lady Gaga (rarely), Black eyed peas, Maroon 5, ~JENNIFER LOPEZ~ <3, Pitbull

Rock- Linkin Park, A Day to Remember, Drowning pool, Three Days Grace

Reggae- Bob Marley, Buju Banton, Pete Tosh

Rap- Lil Wayne (Person I listen to the most), Eminem, Drake, Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Hopsin (rarely), Tyga, Ludacris, Notorious B.I.G., Nicki Minaj

    Country- Taylor Swift

Artists that I don't know what Genre they belong to- Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Foster the People, James Brown

    R&B-Usher

There's other artists, but I don't listen to them that frequently so I decided not to include them. The most prominent person in my music library is Lil Wayne. Say what you want about him, but I find his lyrics humorous and entertaining. The metaphors he uses are clever most of the time and I enjoy a good laugh.

Well, I go by songs, not genre or artist. I have a lot of songs I like. The reason I don't go by genre or artist is because naturally, I am not going to like every song in a genre, or every song an artist writes.

Although I love most of Thousand Foot Krutch's music. They're the exception, being my favorite band. I actually got to meet them, and got their autographs. My favorite song by them is Puppet. I guess I'll link it...

Rock is definitely my favorite; I like a little bit of everything, but rock stands as my favorite. Just refound Sum 41, and its amazing.
Sum 41 / Blink / OLD Linkin Park = Amazing Stuff.

Generally speaking, you could just say "rock and metal." I'm a huge prog fan in particular, but I also have a strangely massive love for New Wave, post-punk and late 70s/early 80s goth rock. I'm not going to come out and say that Disintegration is the best album ever, but I don't see why it, or another Cure album, couldn't fit comfortably in a bracket in the Best Album Ever Tournament.

Also, I've been listening to a fair number of carnival-influenced bands of the Dresden Dolls sort, who produce dark music using an array of low-tech sounds, albeit occasionally with some more "normal" sound. You know, the sort of thing that sort of fits into the trendier ends of steampunk. It's not all good, to be sure (and really, some of it is downright unlistenable). I also dig on a few things from genres that I just don't have a good place to fit them in to (The World/Inferno Friendship Society), some industrial (Einstuerzende Neubauten) and a little bit of... slightly more general electronic music (Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk). So, um.

I'm diggin song by Nero called "Me And You (Steve Angello Remix). I see myself going deeper and deeper into house/ electro/ dance music.

Anybody else into that type of music, hit me up. Not many around I see.
