Hmm. Recently I've gotten into Linkin Park, which means I have to deal with idiots who think that makes me emo.

Queen is a great band, too. Bohemian Rhapsody is awesome, one of my favorite songs.

And I like a bit of Good Charlotte, particularly The Anthem and The River.

seems like I was just talking out of my ***, as the crappy deathcore isn't that common in these lists.

Yeah, First Utterance is like my new favorite album, and I've been fighting a futile battle to get people to listen to The Coup, especially Genocide and Juice, for a LOOOONG time

The longer, more conventional songs on there are somewhat disappointed considering the ridiculous stuff like "Diana," but it's a damn good album.

Genocide and Juice is cool, but I prefer Steal This Album -- like the production more, and what few skits there are don't get in the way of the flow of the album.

well, I would like just about all of their albums equal, but E-Roc was bad on their first album, good on their second, and not even on all their later releases, so it's always good to have an extra rapper

as for IDM, I only use the term out of convenience

ACDC is my favourite band of all time.

Because I feel the need to be mocked today...

Spoiler:- My Top 50, accordng to last.fm:

Of course, some of these are up way too far on the barometer of how much I like them, and some too low. (Disturbed is that far above Saxon, and Budgie is below them?! What!) No, I don't get the joke of half this list, either...

Hmm, it appears I forgot to add Dredg to my list, mind you what little I've heard outside of El Cielo has been pretty drab and uninteresting. I have yet to check out Lietmotif yet though. New album sounds pretty crap though :/

Leitmotif is pretty cool. Production hinders it at times, and Gavin Hayes's voice isn't up to where it was with El Cielo, but it's worth buying if you can actually find a copy.

But, yeah, El Cielo is pretty much where the greatness ended. Catch Without Arms has some great songs, but it's too uneven, and I can't stand their newest album.

    in the moment of ultra-light
    when the fire burns black
& each & every second in the flame
    we divide & sub-divide &
each time a cell splits off we
become a new flesh - a new flesh
    a new self - a new self
    into infinity

I'm just checking out that other split between Nadja and Atavist that I bought on Thursday (haven't had time up until now). I hope it's as good as Points at Infinity, the first song on that, Projective Plane is probably my favourite song right about now.
