Well, there's a lot of good stuff out there, but since this is favourite music... in general, I main electronic music, but I can get adventurous sometimes.

Clazziquai Project - Korean group that isn't really K-pop, since they encompass more styles than such. Light-hearted electronic sounds.
Ryuichi Sakamoto - For my piano and some groovy electronic stuff. His stuff with YMO is nice too.
Cœur de Pirate - Francophone indie pop artist with pianos. Also did the entire Child of Light OST, gotta' get around to playing that sometime.
Björk - For a little strange. Went from "unique pop" to experimental.
HK119 - Interesting underground electro. Also her music videos seem to embody some weird glitch in the Matrix, intentionally tongue-in-cheek.

Special mentions; Lapfox Trax for being a guilty pleasure, Mara Carlyle and Kate Bush for sounding pretty cool.

My all time favorite artist has to be Kendrick Lamar. I listen to a lot of hip-hop/rap :3.

He's a great rapper straight out of Compton California, and sort of has a background close to that of Eminem. He is an amazing lyricist tho.

    I also listen to:

    Kanye West
    Ab-Soul
    Schoolboy Q
    Tech N9ne
    Queen
    The Police
    Ed Sheeran
    Macklemore
    OneRepublic
    Jay-Z
    Eminem

Not rly about the heavy metal band life

With a few exceptions, my taste in music tends to fall into one of two categories:

    - Male rock/pop rock groups, such as OneRepublic, Coldplay, Train, The Fray, U2, and The Script
    - Female pop solo artists, such as Sara Bareilles, Adele, Sia, Kelly Clarkson, and Lorde

OneRepublic is by far my favorite artist though. I could go on and on about how much I love their music. : D

Personally, I really like the Japanese versions of Vocaloid songs, some of my favorites being Deep Sea Girl and A Song I'd Like to Sing by Miku Hatsune. But, I also really love listening to anime theme songs and their covers, both English and Japanese.
    Ash: "Wow, imagine Brock, married!"
Misty: "You and I will be married someday, too."
    Ash: "Mmm-hmm...... WHAAAA?!!?"

    Just an all-around Barry Fan!

I use torrent.. (IsoHunt) I don't buy anything because I think it's a waste of money... Why pay for something when you can get it for free?

Anyway, lately, I've really been into Drake's music. His last mixtape (If You're Reading This It's Too Late) was very good. I like how "mellow" his songs are... I can't really explain... I've always been into rap/hiphop anyway; I grew up listening to Tupac, Nas and Snoop Dogg. Awhile ago I attended a Nicki Minaj concert too, I love her music. Alot seem to hate it, but I couldn't care less.

I buy when I can because it supports the artist and ultimately supports the whole industry.

But I rarely buy without having first downloaded it and made sure I like it. Because ultimately I agree with you.
