Thread: Mistakes on Serebii.net V2

Default Q?

I'm wondering if the fossil pokemon shouldn't be included in the version exclusives lists of Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver, seeing as how certain fossils only appear in each game upon using Rock Smash. Or am I just wrong? Is it possible to get a Lileep and Anorith without trading in HeartGold? A response would be much appreciated.

Adding this would greatly assist people in the States in deciding which version to purchase.

Under "emerald trainers" between Leonardo and Nikki, there should be a swimmer Dean, who has two caravanahs and a wingull respectfully.
I brought this up about a month ago, but it never got fixed

In today's Ranger 3 update, you created the hidden Pokemon page. At the bottom, the information for Lotad and Abomasnow is conflicting...

Lotad's description is the same as Budew's. Not sure if the ability required (Electrify 1) is correct.

The ability required to get Abomasnow is shown as Electrify 3 (I think), but in the description it says Flame 3.

I don't know if this has been pointed out before, but on the Pokearth page for National Park in Johto, Weedle is listed twice in the list of Pokemon available for the Crystal version Bug Catching Contest. The second Weedle is supposed to be Beedrill.

Default Version Exclusive Section

Latios and Latias also appear to be missing from the version exclusives list. The only way to get both is by using an event item.

We have always included event items in the lists such as this, and as it's a WiFi event item, it's even more logical to disclude them

I think you misunderstand me. What I mean is you can get Latias in HeartGold and Latios in SoulSilver, but you must trade or get the event item in order to get Latios onto HeartGold. So, shouldn't they be included as Version Exclusives for the games?

No I didn't misunderstand. As they are both available in both games, they do not belong on the list. The event item is given over WiFi so everyone and anyone will have access to it

Yet another mistake on the Current and Upcoming events page...

Gamestop Jirachi is shown with "Wi-Fi Event" in the summary.
Same thing with the Wi-Fi Pichu. It should have "Pokémon Event" and not "Wi-Fi Event."

And by the way, Ranger 3 Deoxys, Heatran and Shaymin have Classic Ribbon.

However they can't reveal it just yet. They want us to let our guards down. They want us to think they've changed by introducing four trainers that would eventually go on to face Ash in the League as opposed to Last Second Rival-son.

I won't rest though. I'll be waiting, and if he does appear, which he will I'll be ready to jump out and punch him in the face.

Latias is level 40, not 50.

The synopsis has disappeared. Why?

Can someone fix this please? I've asked this several times and it still hasn't been fixed.

Thanks.

On Route 32 of Johto Pokearth, in the HGSS section, Youngster Albert has a lvl 8 Zubat and not Golbat.

There is no mention of Pokemon that can be obtained via Surfing. By Surfing in Route 44 in HeartGold and SoulSilver, you can find Poliwag and Poliwhirl.

http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/johto/route47.shtml

In Route 47, there are actually two sections with regard to Headbutt. The main area contains Exeggcute, Hoothoot, Ledyba (SoulSilver only), Spinarak (HeartGold only), and Pineco. There is also a special area accessible only by Waterfall (which, by the way, also contains the tall grass) that contains Metapod (HeartGold only), Butterfree (HeartGold only), Kakuna (SoulSilver only), Beedrill (SoulSilver only), and Heracross. Remember, all of the Pokemon I specifically mentioned for Route 47 are found with Headbutt.

I forgot to mention this earlier...

In the section for the Super Rod, you only mentioned Gyarados, but said the encounter rate was 63%. Isn't Seaking also found on the second floor of Mt. Silver with the Super Rod?

Edit: I forgot to mention that on this page: http://www.serebii.net/pokearth/johto/route33.shtml, you listed Pineco as appearing in Route 33 by using Headbutt. Pineco doesn't appear in Route 33 in HG/SS.

Hiker Anthony should have a Geodude and a Machop, not a Machamp.

I noticed that the first two errors I pointed out have been fixed, but new errors exist in the pages that contained them. The page for Route 44 now says that Spearow is the only Pokemon accessible via Headbutt in Route 44 in SoulSilver, but Aipom and Heracross should be in there, too. Also, the page for Route 47 still groups Heracross with Exeggcute, Hoothoot, Ledyba, Spinarak, and Pineco, but Heracross should be grouped with Metapod, Butterfree, Kakuna, and Beedrill.

Ah, the values got overwritten, my bad

As for Heracross, on Special Trees, they also include the standard encounter rates
