This is the chapter I've been waiting a long time for.

Story altering plot twists, two of the most powerful running gags in this fic joining forces, and zombie like pokemon trainers.
I nearly passed out from the epicness of it all.

This chapter was great, good to see Arbok and Scizor improving at last, my doubts still remain about Hector though. It will be a while until I trust him fully again.

And since everyone else has done it, I might as well.

If I was to appear in the background somewhere, I want Charmeleon as my Pokemon. Just so you know.

    Great chapter all and all.

    'Til next time,

    Knightfall signing off...

Swampert. My oldest living Pokemon was a Mudkip from Pokemon Ruby on my first file besides my old Crystal. That Mudkip, as it turned out, had near-perfect IV's and now heads my non-competitive team in Swampert form with epic rampages of sweepingness. I would like to appear with my Swampert, if you please, should the circumstance arise that your readers would have cameos in your story.
Mentioning the meme will result in OVER 9000 Hydro Pumps in your face! I don't want to get into that, and neither should you.

I have already evolved and killed you all! (And by that I mean 49 trainers in a row at the battle tower.)

    Mr. Psychic and Ghetsis.....OOOOOOOOOOOH!

And even though I'm a Smogoner myself, I found that part about Smogons hilarious.

Hm. I certainly hope people don't take the introduction of the Smogonites the wrong way, assuming that you are a closed-minded individual who immaturely sees competitive battlers as inherently bad. On the other hand, I hope people don't start swarming this fic holding their anti-Smogon picket signs and siding with you. The way I see it, including that was a pretty risky move on your part, but it's all part of the literary process I'm afraid.

Not a problem. Truth be told, I'm OK with competitive battling, to a degree. I spend a lot of my time breeding Pokémon for natures and sometimes even IVs, and EV training them and all that, but I don't get really, really obsessed with making my Pokémon absolute perfection.

All in all, very good chapter. I definitely loved the Smogons being a zombie parody--I actually parodied zombies in my own fiction, so I know a good one when I see it. Also, the Ghetsis/Mr. Psychic thing was great--not only do we get to see Mr. Psychic fight, but he's BACK! That's the important thing. Also, I'm proud of Scizor. And at least Arbok tried. Both of those 'mons are BAMFish.
    Glad you liked the chapter.

I'm not all that fond of Smogon myself. I'm fine with the concept of competitive battling, but to do what they do, encourage all these rules and tiers (other than ubers) and clauses, I dunno. It's like they're trying to turn Rock-Paper-Scissors into chess.

I haven't even determined whether Greevil will make a personal appearance yet, let alone battle.

I won't comment on Hector. I don't want anything I say to be misinterpreted as hints as to where Hector's loyalties lie, because I'm not giving any hints.

OK, now I know. Whether I do anything with this information or not, however, remains to be seen.

If you appear, it will most certainly be with your Swampert. In fact, your situation's not unlike mine. When I first got Ruby Version (which was right after it came out in the US), my starter was a Mudkip. That same Mudkip is now a Swampert in my Black Version, level 100, and it has an Adamant nature. Never got the IVs checked, though. And that Swampert just might be my oldest Pokémon. It depends on when I started that file in Blue Version...

You make very good points, yes. On that note, let me just state something right now.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT start or participate in any sort of flame war/argument/disagreement/anything else I didn't mention regarding Smogon/competitive battling/my portrayal of the first two in this thread. It does not reflect my true stance on competitive battling, though I admit I am not all too fond of Smogon, which may or may not have had some semblance of influence on my writing. Nevertheless, if you really have a beef with this, which is intended to be humorous, then take it up with me via PM. Any arguments break out, I start reporting posts. And that is no joke.

This also goes for all of you out there who are 100% anti-Smogon. I don't want you to swarm this thread and state how you're siding with me in the war against Smogon or any of that. Because posts like that are bound to attract trouble like an all-you-can-eat buffet attracts Snorlax.

You are more than welcome to tell me what you think of the Smogons as they appear in this fic, just do it in a non-inflammatory manner, and if you disagree with how someone else feels about them, let it be. If you need to say something, do it via PM. In other words, just keep things in this thread as civil as they have been and there'll be no problems. Thank you.

...Hmm. I was under the impression that the correct term was "Smogonite". Then again, I could be wrong. Lurking does that to you.

And just to jump on the oldest Pokemon available bandwagon, seeing as a major character already has a Scizor, I'm going to say to give me a Blaziken if you do something like that.

I'd also be offended if it wasn't so damn funny.

Great chapter as well with Ghetsis and Mr. Lunar Dance teaming up as well as Folly and Trudly's return.

Also, did I see a Retelling of Pokemon Colosseum reference with the Yamna's hyped up on coffee.

In reality, I'm actually quite the breeding freak, having spent a sizable chunk of my playtime searching for a few nice IV and Nature sets with some fun egg moves for when I want to raise a new monster for mah pocket or build my new team on a fresh file somewhere. But I find much of competitive battle impossible for any even remotely casual player, driving all of the potential fun from it when people breed for months on a team for perfect natures and IV's and EV train every one of them to standard do-this-to-win values and then leeching someone's ubiquitous strategy just to end up a clone of all the others like them. And then, when they lose, they blame luck, since, according to the "perfect" strategy they adhered to, they did everything perfectly.

This is why I hate the idea of Smogonism. It takes a fun, innocent little competition and makes a science out of it by banning all cases of chance that can be stopped and creating a "perfect" system to play it. It defies innovation and drives away amateurs. It's all-or-nothing. Either way, everyone loses but the fanatics.

I've also nature-bred a lot of mons. Doing it with Dragons is a pain, so I tend to avoid most of those, but I've bred Ninjask, Durant, Turtwig, Charmander, and every other mon under the sun. I also EV train those guys. And I agree with what Smogon does to the game. If you don't follow their sets, you lose and they gloat. And you're also treated like an asinine little nooblet.

That's the best chapter you've had in a long time! I like how you made the smogons bad guys. I also caught the reference to BobandBill's fic. Mr. Psyduck- MR.PSYCHIC! Yeah and his conversation with Ghetis, awesome, N should come back to help Jack. Also, since apparently everyone's saying names of pokemon they want to use if they appear, I'd like to use Infernape. Good chapter, can't wait for the next one.

That chapter was epic. I enjoyed the running gags, and for some reason, reading the "TrainerTip" made me think of Deoxys. Don't ask. Also, keep up the good work!

He is my second favorite pokemon after my Groudon from the same game named LEGEND ( the first legendary I caught, oh to be young and care for wimsy nicknames) his brave nature and earthquake/stone edge/ fire punch/ and suprise solarbeam won me many a battle (if you include me include LEGEND the Groudon)

anyway the story: I always that of a paradoy of "Smogonism" to be like one of those dark cult type figures with black robes and all that you willingly join

(Let the record show that GroundBlaze uses smogon stategies when plannning competitive teams)

Also the Ghetsis sub plot would be a great way to include B/W 2 into the plot of the overall story

And I find the plot twist to be sorta underwhelming (granted the last one started a whole arc) unless your playing at an angle I can only bearly comprehend

    I guess......

anyway I think I've started a bad trend here of people asking to be put in the story relentlessly declaring what pokemon they want (I know I wasn't the first)
