Well, while I really wasn't expecting Hikari to have a convo with Shinji, the part where she realised where she was, and so quickly jumped over to Satoshi (confusing him xD) made it all better. As well as all the cheering stuff, that was great too. I hope the league gives us some more SatoHika moments. We've had room for Kouhei/Hikari and this Shinji/Hikari interaction thing, so surely they'll have room to give us a cute alone moment or something :3 ....Or maybe they're saving the big guns for the end of DP 8D xD

@DUK: I don't know, that sounds like Hikari sticking up for Satoshi pretty well (refer back to Dawn choosing, not Ash choosing). I like the references to him as "that guy". Reminded me of a recent comedy release.

*looks up again at ES's translation* WAIT WAIT WAIT. What will be born? Ash as a pokemon "master"? Peeeaaaarrrrlllshipping? *shot*. I mean hey, it's possible!

Piplup's costume: Yeah, this really is Piplup embodied in clothing :P. Also, the whole opening scene with Dawn (pom-poms come up and... it's Piplup (sad trumpet plays)). I just want to know why Piplup and Dawn keep blushing around Ash or when talking about Ash.

About Kouhei's non-exit: Yeah, so Kouhei never got a "good-bye" portion, but he doesn't really deserve one. Barry, Zoey, even Kenny and Paul deserve them because they are at least friends (or, with Paul, important rivals). Kouhei's just a creeper :/. Also, they could do more flash-backs, although it is unlikely, to explain away Kouhei's disappearance.

About only Reggie watching + No Delia: At this point, it almost seems too late to bring in new people to watch / spectate. The Finals will be one episode (maybe part of the semifinals episode too), and this triology is clearly set up as Paul / Reggie-Barry / Ash-Dawn-Brock. New people for now would make no sense.

Episode divisions / New predictions?: It looks like DP 188 will end the battle in the first half... after all, two more of Paul's pokemon are shown, meaning that Paul will be down to Electavire + maybe one more (the ice one?) by the start of DP 188. Unless Infernape/Elec. is an epic showdown to end all showdowns, the second half will be all SatoHika reactions, Darkrai guy, etc. This is important, because that'll be the best time (for a few episodes) for direct PS, not just Dawn-cheering-from-stands-PS. Any speculation as to what Dawn might do post-Paul? (And how that might relate to "something being born?". Keep in mind this will still be under Tomioka's pen, so go crazy if you want)

It seems both Dawn and Paul have Ash on their brains. *has another fangasm*. But Dawn clearly chooses Ash over Paul. I'm wondering if we'll have more flashbacks in the coming episodes. We should anyways.

It looks like this ship may be come real next ep I want Dawn to keep up what she is doing intill Ash beats Paul then I hope she jumps out of her seat and runs to Ash to hug him then in DP189 I want the same thing all over again with Dawn

Something I noticed is when Paul refers to Ash and Reggie as "the same", Dawn takes offense, saying Ash is his own person. She doesn't want him to be anyone but her Ashyyy. :3.

But Dawn running over to Ash shows where her heart lies. Yay.

This may be off-topic, but why are the ikarishippers all happy because of this ep? ive talked to some and they believe they heard something about Dawn and Paul talking about Johto... ive watched the episode and i didnt not hear ANYTHING about Johto. Like all of you have said, they only talked about Ash, Reggie and the upcoming battle. Anyways Dawn is supporting ASH, not Paul, so no worries!

^ Oh so Barry thought she was spying on Paul. I was running through Endless Summer's translations. I was just checking the Paul/Dawn convo part mainly.

But man this episode had everything. I hope the next two episodes are like this one.

The only thing I'm surprised about: WHY DIDN'T THEY PUT DAWN IN HER CHEERLEADING OUTFIT AS WELL?

I mean it's one of the biggest battles this season. Dawn always put her cheerleader outfit on in really important Ash battles. Why not this one T____T.

Meh, that's just a minor setback.

But... everyone, DUK is right. We've already had a couple warnings, this is a PearlShipping discussion, so we should focus on that. What the Ikarishippers think have nothing to do with us. I apologize for bringing that subject up in the first place.

Yeah, if we're complaining about her not using the cheerleading outfit, we're having a pretty good day. xD. It was good enough, even without it.

I could see Paul mounting a comeback, and Dawn deciding to go grab the cheerleading outfit then, there's still time. :3. Piplup's dressed up, so we know Dawn is, in spirit. :3

Man everybody mentioned all the good parts but I'm very happy right now. What an episode, PS and an intense battle all in one. It really makes me look forward to 187 with Glion battling and what Dawn will say then. I can't upload my pic where Dawn moves to Ash's side. >_< Warning to PS pic uploaders don't upload the pic when Dawn is right next to Ash and is blushing, I tried that but it looked like Dawn was blushing while looking at Paul while Ash was off to the side looking clueless so pretty much anti pearl shipping there. I'll try and see if I can upload the one I have where Dawn is rushing to Ash's side.

First of all, too late. It's already uploaded. Second of all, it's not anti PS. If you read the translation of the conversation, nothing leads towards that conclusion. Dawn follows Paul out, and, likely, worried about the impression it creates, runs to Ash and blushes, hoping that he doesn't ask something or make a conclusion about it. She wants him to know that she's 100% behind him. That's why when Barry asks her if she was hanging out with Paul, she gets so angry. She doesn't want Ash drawing the wrong conclusions. And luckily for her, he seems to accept the turn of events. :3.

Like DU said, i doubt people will get to that conclusion. The expression she used when she blushed was like an "aha...hahaha...." thing, and I don't think anybody is going to think that Dawn likes Paul just because of that.
