Cuz there excited?
I can't tell, I can't really read JappaneseXD
How many Jappanese Pearlshippers are there any ways?
I heard tons.

They understand the subtleties better than us relying on translators. This is really great news for pearlshipping because they consider this a victory.
Like I said, this episode was supposed to give an indirect hint that Dawn really likes Ash more than just friends. Of course, they are saving the main plot for a better episode, when Dawn finally decides what to do.
Oh sweet, they also consider this a victory.
Seems like one to me as well, Kenny leaving and BunaryxPikachu plot.
And Dawn cheering for Ash the entire fight with saying where just friends in the letter.
Pearlshipping beats it all. Now if only Holly could come and take Brock away.
I'm extremlly excited ^^

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I´ve long been a spokesman
for Ash´s indifference and cluelessness when it comes to romance,
and pointed out often how it is actually an attractive trait. The thing is, Ash
stands out like a rough jewel from all these other chumps who desperately
try to impress and hit on girls. It´s his inner flame, confidence and
unbreakable passion for Pokemon training that actually draws Dawn
(and girls in general) into his proximity. He´s the energetic, optimistic guy who everybody
wants to hang around with. He´s the classic rogue, Indiana Jones,
who goes after what he wants, and doesn´t take girls and romance too
seriously.
By having his purpose and focus so firmly centered on Pokémon training,
he always remains a bit of a mystery and a challenge for the girls, because
they can´t impress him with their traditional assets. This very same energy
and passion is exactly what attracted Anabel and the summer camp girl, and
consequently, they couldn´t help but having a crush on him.
Girls above all want a guy who is a bit of a challenge, not an emotional
pushover, and Ash definitely fits the description. Obviously he should
develop at least a tiny bit of romantic intelligence, just for the sake
the girls wouldn´t feel too discouraged to fall for him.
Well put, it all makes perfectly sense.Looking at the episode, you guys have to remember that it was never going to be used as a medium to further support Pearlshipping in any obvious way. To do that, you would have to degrade Kenny's character. Baring in mind that Kenny is coming off the back of a rather crushing defeat in the Grand Festival, to have him lose to Ash and then get talked down to by Dawn would not be something you'd expect the writiers to do, even if it would make Pearlshipping seem like the "one true pairing" of this particular saga. Rather, they had to send Kenny off on a high note, because presumably this is his last appearance for a while.

Wow guys, are we bipolar or what?:
First reaction: AGHHH NOOO PEARL LOST D: NUUU HOW WILL WE GET THROUGH THIS
Second reaction: ...I've cooled down, and I've decided that PearlShipping WILL get through this.
Third reaction: Well, the episode wasn't that bad after all... Kenny was jealous and everything... so yeah, it was not bad.
Fourth reaction: Hah! Pearl is still amazing. What was I thinking before?
Fifth reaction: YES~! SWEET VICTORY! THIS EPISODE PROVES IT!!
^^^^ that was basically my morning. xD
I'm happy to see the new positivity in this thread, and how SatoHika fans are considering it a victory! I just finished watching the episode for myself on YouTube and no, it wasn't bad at all. We shouldn't have expected ultra-Pearlshipping in the first place.
Sure, Brock was a little pro-Penguin, but I think he was because of Kenny's lack of confidence... rather than an abrupt KennyxDawn realization. And Brock probably felt for him, since he IS in the same boat as Kenny. Brock likes attractive girl, attractive girl likes someone else. (The girl from the Rise of Darkrai comes to mind... Alice, was it? And Antonio was the one she loved.)
As people have said before, Kenny looks like he won't be coming back for a long time... and it seems unlikely that Dawn will follow him after the league after this episode.
Everything is good!My outlook on Pearl is bright once again.
(Also, Kenny WAS really jealous. I couldn't even understand what they were saying and noticed this. xD)

I also read his transcript of the letter. I does seem like an open ended thing. I am going to cheer Satoshi on at the tourney, but I have not yet decided what to do. I'm sure that, as coordinators, we will meet again.
I'm reading this as a neutral - VERY SLIGHT pearlshipping letter, since, even though Kenny went all out for her, she remains totally neutral and doesn't commit one bit to even seeking him out later. Kenny will likely show up at the end of the series again. That will be where Ash wins out... hopefully.
Okay, it says "Do you like Ash?". That seems to have been said in the episode. That could be a pretty huge hint depending on the context.
This is the letter, as transcribed by a blogger..
Translation:
...Im sorry. After all, I want to support Ash when he challanges the Sinnoh League.
I intend to decide my future goal after that.
...However, only this can be said clearly.
My dream is to become a top coordinator.
I don't know when it will happen, but it will surely come true.
People who have the same goal can surely meet somewhere.
SHUT DOWN for poor Kennyboy

My Microsoft word was able to translated it , I didn't change any letters, and I can't verify it, this is what is translated to.

Dawn basically said sorry to his proposal of traveling together. But she is practical, since coordinators compete in different contests around the world (just like May met Dawn), there is a chance they can see each other.
It's interesting the first thing she mentioned is her support for Ash. This also means Kenny wont appear again at any capacity. It's up to Dawn to decide her future, so far Ash has never suggested her anything. He could very well mention Isshu to her.
HaHA Yah man it was extremlly fun watching Kenny get all jealous of Ash.
We've seen the guy get jealous before but this was to extreme.
I think this leaves opean for Ash and Dawn to travel with each other.
I hope we see start to see some jealousy soon between the two ^^

The problem here though is that Ash does not know about Isshu, and how he will find out is unknown. From past experience, he usually learns through a battle or a person, after he has already parted with his current companions.Originally Posted by Teshub
There is also a strong likelihood that Dawn will not go to Isshu, and will most likely follow the path of the female companions before her and simply revisit another region either alone or with someone else.
Dawn he preferred to travel with Ash to give their support in the Sinnoh League, instead of init a new journey as coordinator
certainly Dawn has feelings for Ash
Dragon Ball Forever!!
Pearlshipping Forever!!![]()
Misty may have gave him a lure
May may have gave him a ribbon
But Dawn gave him her heart

I'm trying to see if "Dawn, do you like Ash?" is actually in the episode: will edit this post when/if I find it. I doubt it's actually in there...
EDIT: Yeah, it's definitely not in there anywhere.
PS: PK, or anyone, can someone please tell us what the final scene between Kenny and Dawn was about? After Kenny's gone, and Dawn's by herself, she mentions the two in an internal monologue. Please help?!?
Also, all this talk about the next region is irrelevant. It seems clear that all the current plot points will be settled by the end of DP. Therefore, any talk of BW has to understand that even with Dawn it would have to be a totally different dynamic.

I'd like to think she'd go with Ash to the next region.
Maybe that person who suggests the new region to Ash will have a friend who's into contests and says there's also contests in that region too.
Than of course Dawn would get excited, its possible and would be new.
She could change into new clothes along with Ash, leave every one behind except for maybe Bunary and Pipulp like Ash would keep Pikachu and Gible.

It is certainly possible. Dawn has, after all, followed many of the same trends Ash has followed over the course of his journey; trends that many thought would not be repeated by another character. I wouldn't rule out Dawn continuing on with Ash to another region completely.I'd like to think she'd go with Ash to the next region.

Well Ash could find about Issuh from Oak after the SL and Dawn is with him cuz she is planing on travaling in Kanto. Then Oak asks Ash if he can take something to a friend of his living in Isshu. Ash then says he wants to take on the IL and Dawn asks if they have contests in Isshu and Oak says yes. Then Ash says to Dawn would you like to come with me and she says ya
Wow........just wow
Its amazing how much faith yall have in pearlshipping.when PK informed us about the bad news i didnt give up on pearlshipping, but my intrest in it really for the most part went down the drain. but after reading all of yall posts and watching the episode myself(even though i didnt really understand what they were saying) i feel totally different about this situation.now all we have to do is get PK back.
Thank you soooooo much fellow pearlshippers for returning my faith in pearlshipping
All we really lost in this episode is brock but now i dont even give a **** about him anymore.looks like kenny is gone for the rest of dp.YAY!! the only thing i hate more than kenny is the thought of penguinshiping
and i really DONT like Kenny
Thing is, I'm ready to accept that Pearlshipping will never happen onscreen. But that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy it, as long as we don't get delusional.
But again, I have to suggest to any writers that one potential fanfic idea would be to watch the episodes set in the Isshu Region, only with Dawn still traveling in the group (which would require a oneshot alternate ending to DP first).
Well I don't understand what the deal is.
I mean, no Pokemon couple ever becomes cannon.
They'll throw hints at us.
But really nothing was anti at us, so I don't get PK's problem at all.
All that happened was, Ash lost in a battle and Dawn left Kenny a letter.
It wasn't even lovey dovey or saying he'd go with him.
She choose to go with Ash, in fact it closed Penguineshipping in my opinion.
