It's been nearly a week and still no episode pictures! Also, the front page stopped mentioning it, so you'd think that they won't! I guess I'll just have to wait until it is dubbed and then watch it online.

While a subbed viewing would certainly help understanding the first 18 minutes of the episode, this is simply one of those episodes that may have fallen victim to hype. A lot of fans got false hopes from the title and preview, but what we got was merely a realistic depiction of what happens when a Grand Festival champion goes up against someone who has never even entered a GF. Besides, Dawn still got some pretty decent hits in. Still, as lukewarm as I am to Johanna's character, it was nice to see her compassionate toward Dawn as opposed to in earlier Sinnoh.

When I talk about Croagunk's routine being able to stay fresh thanks to new takes on its gag, the Bellossom here was a good example. Great stuff. I'm also glad Delia got a brief role; can't recall whether or not Dawn had seen her before. Definitely not a bad episode, but I think many folks got some false impressions.

Yea she's WAYY more experienced with Dawn. The only thing is that Dawn defeated that lady in the celestic town contest when Johanna couldn't. Maybe if Dawn trained Ambipom all by herself she would have lost.

We also see so much of Zoey's Glameow that seeing Johanna's Glameow was hardly any different.

I have to admit, when I heard the title the first time I thought this would be the prep to a contest between Dawn and her mom.

Of course it isn't. I liked the battle between them though. It was flashy.

the episode was good, i really liked that part whit Ash and the kid and lol dwaf Rapidash.

the battle was short but good.

If there was no battle, the episode would have been VERY boring. It kind of was. Anyway, no surprise in Dawn losing to her mother even though it was nice to see Dawn was able to manage one hit.

Also, I liked it when Ash was talking to the kid.

Overall, I pretty bland episode.

I thought that the episode was pretty good. It is a great start to the Twinleaf Festival. Of course Johanna would beat Dawn. I liked seeing Oak and Delia too although it was just over the phone.

Overall a pretty decent episode. Obviously the battle was short which I guess is ok. Ash mentioning his Bulbasaur and Heracross again was cool. There's been too much episodes involving Dawn and her Pokémon though, more than Ash in Sinnoh it looks like.

It was great to see Dehlia! They need to bring her back for a few episodes. Like a phone call every 10 episodes. Ash seemed to call Oak and her more in Kanto days! Was it me or did Sarah change her voice for her since Battle Frontier?
