Are you playing as the Male or Female character?

i don't have heartgold or soulsilver though if i did i would choose boy because other people can see your gender on gts

At first I was going to choose male, because I was nostalgic of my character in the Silver version... But since I got used playing the female in Diamond (I'm a girl), I chose the female character in Soul Silver too. At first it felt odd, but now I'm used to it.

Male. I always play as male ever since we were able to choose genders.
I might be a girl, but I always love the male character designs better, and any items that are certain designs/colors depending on gender are always better with male.

I've always and will be playing as a female character. In some versions, the girl has a slightly better design in my opinion.

I usually pick the girl (being one and all) but the way she looks in HgSs just didn't look very cool...So I picked the guy. I was gonna do the same for Conquest due to the same issue but     Spoiler:- undefined:

Its been awhile since there has been a good looking male character. The guy from black/white is cool too but the 4th and 3rd gen guys. Wow. Those guys had no concept of fashion sense... OR they had too much of a concept for "high fashion" sense. Plus, I think the girl's hat looks stupid.

The Female! I love Lyra's design, it is my second favorite after Leaf Plus, I'm a girl, so it makes sense. I didn't buy HeartGold (I have SoulSilver), but if I had I would have been Ethan on it.
