Default Day 389 - HeartGold Walkthrough

    Day 389 Sunday, May 13th, 2012 8:51,2 PM
I started off where we left off yesterday, in the Battle Factory, in the Battle Frontier! We thanked the two nice Clerks and everyone else here for letting us stay here and for doing everything else that we have done here since last night. We then went over and talked to the two nice Clerks. We had gotten ourselves entered in our newest Seven Battle Double Battle Lv.50 Streak here in the Battle Factory! In a little while, out of the six Pokemon Castform, Eevee, Vulpix, Houndour, Oddish, and Slowpoke, we chose Castform, Houndour, and Slowpoke! We switched our Pokemon with the nice Assistant for this Seven Battle Streak here in the Battle Factory! In a little while, once in the Battle Factory's Arena, we started battling for our newest Seven Battle Double Battle Lv.50 Streak here in the Battle Factory! We won our first Battle and we lost our second Battle. In a little while, we switched our Pokemon back with the nice Assistant. In a little while, once in the Battle Factory's lobby, we decided to hang out around here for a little while. In a little while, we thanked the two nice Clerks and everyone else left here for letting us stay here and for doing everything else that we have done here so far today! I then saved to the right and to the back a litttle back of the two nice Clerks, and to the left of the TV, in the Battle Factory, in the Battle Frontier. 240:08,9

I started to battle against Erika at the Celadon City Gym. She sent out her Jumpluff first, and I used my Golem against it. Jumpluff attacked with Giga Drain, but Golem survived and attacked with Rock Slide. I switched out to Typhlosion after that, and I used its Flamethrower attack against Erika's Bellossom. That attack was more than enough to defeat it, and then I faced off against Erika's Victreebel. I used Pidgeot's Aerial Ace attack on it, and Erika's Victreebel fainted right away. Only Erika's Tangela was left standing after that, but my Feraligatr defeated it with a critical-hit Blizzard attack. I obtained the Rainbow Badge from Erika along with the Giga Drain TM, and then I left the Celadon City Gym to heal my injured Pokemon. Once that was taken care of, I headed back to Cycling Road to do some training against the Bikers there, and I saved before heading to Fuchsia City.

Once outside, a few trainers were lurking around the gigantic space- why aren't there more of them? Mt. Moon isn't exactly hard to traverse... But once at Cerulean, Anni passed the couple that were making some chemistry (and it was working) and after that, she was on the Nugget Path. Beat five trainers to get a prize! Actually, there were a few extra, counting the guy at the end. At the end of the path, there was a house that some nerd used to live in, Misty, and some other random dude. We chased the dude off to get Misty to battle us in her gym in Cerulean.

The Cerulean Gym is way larger inside than it is on the outside... Oh wait, all gyms are like that. It even has an indoor pool system and a huge lifeguard stand. By the way, what was the gym dude doing while no one was there. Hmm... No matter, it's gym time against...

    Well-Known Woman Wielding Water
    MISTY
    V.S.

Bareilles faced the blue Golduck and destroyed it in one hit with Thunderbolt. Elapidae used Earthquake on the incoming Quagsire, while it tried to forget the Earthquake with Amnesia. Seed Bomb defeated it the next turn.

Grandjaws against Lapras, the Normal type took a heavy Ice Beam, but retaliated with Return. She then dodged a Sing and KO'd the bulky water type with Close Combat. Little Mac then fought Starmie, and Fake Out was the first move used. The Fighting type took an Ice Beam and hit back with Thunderpunch. The Sitrus Berry healed the star as it used Ice Beam, but it actually froze Little Mac, but it thawed out the same turn and KO'd it with Thunderpunch. Wow, Misty was beaten without her using a single Water typed move on us.

Default Day 390 - HeartGold Walkthrough

    Day 390 Monday, May 14th, 2012 8:35 PM
I started off where we left off yesterday, in the Battle Factory, in the Battle Frontier. We thanked the two nice Clerks and everyone else here for letting us stay here and for doing everything else that we have done here since last night! We went over and talked to the two nice Clerks. We had gotten ourselves entered in our newest Seven Battle Double Battle Lv.50 Streak here in the Battle Factory! In a little while, out of the six Pokemon, Krabby, Mine Jr., Clamperl, Clefairy, Burmy (Grass, Trash, I think), and Growlithe, we chose Krabby, Mime Jr., and Growlithe. We switched our Pokemon with the nice Assistant for this Seven Battle Streak here in the Battle Factory! In a little while, once in the Battle Factory's Arena, we started battling for our newest Seven Battle Double Battle Lv.50 Streak here in the Battle Factory! We lost our first Battle. In a little while, we switched our Pokemon back with the nice Assistant. In a little while, once in the Battle Factory's lobby, we decided to stay here for a little while, trying to think of what we should do next. In a little while, we had decided. We thanked the two nice Clerks and everyone else left here for letting us stay here and for doing everything else that we have done here lately. We left the Battle Factory. We flew from the Battle Factory in the Battle Frontier to Indigo Plateau. We entered it. We looked around. When we were heading to the top of the building, Ethan came running in. We started talking. He challenged us to a battle in a little while and we accepted!

First out for him was his Sneasel, and first our for me was Meganium. I switched to Sudowoodo. One Rock Slide from Sudowoodo fainted his Sneasel. He then sent out his Magneton. One Hammer Arm fainted him. Next up for him was his Alakazam. One Sucker Punch fainted him. Next up, he sent out his Gengar. His Gengar barely survived one Sucker Punch, and then he fainted my Sudowoodo. I then sent out Honchkrow. Ethan used a Full Restore on his Gengar, but my Honchkrow fainted him with one Assurance. Then he sent out his Typhlosion, so I switched to Kingler. He used a Flamethrower, which did a little less then half HP in damage, and also burned Kingler. Kingler then used Surf, which didn't quite faint Typhlosion. He then fainted Kingler next turn with another Flamethrower. I then sent out Ampharos. He fainted Typhlosion with Power Gem. Finally Ethan sent out his Crobat. His Crobat used Confuse Ray on Ampharos, which confused him. He then hurt himself in his confusion. The next turn Ampharos flinched because of Crobat's Bite. He got paralyzed, though, because of Ampharos' Ability, Static. The next turn Ampharos used Discharge, which almost fainted Crobat. Ethan then gave Crobat a Full Restore. Ampharos used another Discharge, which did a little bit more than the first one. The next turn, Crobat used another Confuse Ray on Ampharos, which confused him. He then hurt himself in his confusion. For the final turn of the battle, Ampharos used Power Gem to faint Crobat. Ampharos leveled up to Lv. 64! We had won! After talking for a little while, he left, after admitting that he should care for his Pokemon more. Mother then called and I answered it. She said that she had bought an Item for me with my money. She also said that I should pick it up from a Delivery Man in the nearest Poke Mart or Department Store. We said bye and we hung up. We then walked over to the nice Nurse Joy. She nicely healed my Pokemon for free, because she's nice! I then saved to the left of pretty much everyone there, in front of the map there, with Meganium to my right, in Indigo Plateau. 240:47

I just finished the Rocket HQ. After that, I went to the Gym and easily defeated Pryce. After dealing with him, I trained a bit before heading to Goldenrod to defeat Team Rocket once and for all. There were times that I got kinda lazy, yeah, but was able to finish this easily. I also fought my rival as well. After rescuing the director, I defeated the last of the grunts and the admins to finally finish this part. Admittedly, this was my least favorite part of the game, glad that was over. Time to head to Blackthorn without anything to worry about

When it comes to the Battle Frontier, notably against Palmer, I find him relatively easy cause he always seems to start off with Dragonite. On occasion, he'll begin with Milotic which throws my strategy a bit and I even took a loss because of it. Well, I recently battled him again and he did start off the way I intended him to and I had a near flawless victory.

Palmer sent out Milotic, I send out Milotic. My Milotic uses Toxic and he's poisoned. His uses a Surf, getting a critical hit. I heal with leftovers while he is hurt by poison. I use recover (in case something happens), he uses (and misses) with Hypnosis. I heal, he's hurt. I use Surf (getting a critical hit), he uses Hypnosis and misses again. Heal me, hurt him. We both exchange Surfs. He heals with Shell Bell, I heal with Leftovers. He takes more poison damage. I use Surf and KO his Milotic and heal more. He sends out Dragonite, I switch out to Swampert. He uses Thunder Wave, but it's useless. He uses Dragon Dance, I use Avalanche. We repeat the same attacks as last time and his Dragonite goes down. He sends out Rhyperior and I counter (and win) with Hydro Cannon.

I also managed to reach Thorton for the first time and lost miserably. I had Drapion (with Cross Poison and the elemental fangs), Slaking (with Facade, Shadow Claw, and 2 others I don't remember), and a Mr. Mime. Originally, I had a Victreebel (with Power Herb, Solar Beam, Sludge Bomb, Stockpile, and Sleep Powder). I traded him with a Mr. Mime thinking it would have some useful Psychic attacks. I was sadly mistaken as it has Reflect, Light Screen, Hypnosis, and Dream Eater. Thorton had Lapras (with Dragon Dance and Aqua Tail) and Infernape (with Close Combat, Fire Punch, and U-Turn). The rest of his pokemon and moves I don't know. While I did barely beat Lapras, losing Drapion in the process, his Infernape pretty much destroyed the rest of my team.

The team then traveled south towards Vermillion City. For fun, they traveled underground, where they met a man who gave away the TM for Explosion in exchange for a Ragecandybar. Tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock- BOOM! I love that guy.

Technically, the Vermillion City gym could've been found right from Kanto, but since I like fighting the original 8 (well... not THE original 8) Kanto leaders in order, I held back on him. Oh great, electricity trash can puzzles. Took I think two failed attempts, until I went third time's the charm and completed it. Now, time to fight Guile! Whoops, wrong American. I mean...

    Very Vexing Volt Veteran
    LT. SURGE
    V.S.

Pandora was crazy lucky on the first turn and froze Raichu with Ice Beam, but was also unlucky as the mouse thawed out the same turn and paralyzed her with Thunder Wave. Surge Full Restored, but Raichu still got hit with Psychic. The rat used Shock Wave, but a critical hit Psychic KO'd it the next turn. Little Mac flinched Magneton before almost KOing it with Mach Punch and getting hit with a Mirror Shot. Ice Punch defeated the magnetic monster.

Grandjaws faced an Electrode that used Double Team, but still got hit with Rock Slide. It used Shock Wave but ultimately was defeated by Return. Aquisa came in on a wrong time to face Electabuzz as it set up Light Screen. Dragon Pulse and Surf didn't do much, so she was switched for Elapidae to Earthquake and destroy it. The Arbok then stayed in, ignored the Electrode's Double Team, and Earthquaked it for the win.

At this stage of my journey I can't be bothered leveling up my main starters as I am think of doing a complete change up. So right now I am filling up my pokedex, first I am trying to catch all of the Kanto and Johto pokemon, then I will start filling out the Hoenn and Sinnoh part of the pokedex. Yesterday I managed to catch a Steelix, evolved my cyndaquil and squirtle. I also evolved a mankey into primeape. Soon I will be planning on getting a Umbreon.

Today I started a new game on Soulsilver. I picked Cyndaquill as my starter, and I called him Nacho. We easily beat my rival, whom I'm still deciding what to call, although I'm thinking of calling him Pyro.

The next gym was located in Celadon, but first, the trainers between Cerulean City and the Rock Tunnel were dealt with, as well as the path between Saffron and Lavender Town. Then, after laughing at the old dude in front of the gym, Anni went inside, and faced an enormous greenhouse maze. Why? Just because. Oh, and the HM for Cut was needed, so Bareilles was left out of the group for a bit. After a bit of navigating, the team faced...

    Feminine Female Flower Fancier
    ERIKA
    V.S.

Aquisa faced the Jumpluff, but the opponent uncharacteristically switched out for Victreebel, and almost was KO'd it with Ice Beam. Erika healed, and the Kingdra used Surf and then Ice Beam to defeat it. Elapidae went against Bellossom, and Poison Jab caused the Sitrus Berry to make the Grass type heal. Bellossom set up a Sunny Day, and outsped the snake with Giga Drain, but still got KO'd by Poison Jab.

Tangela used Wring Out on Pandora, but was defeated with a single Ice Beam. She also faced the cowardly Jumpluff, barely lived a U-Turn, and OHKO'd the flowery fiend with Ice Beam.

I battled tons of Bikers along Cycling Road because I wanted to level up my Pokemon before the next Gym battle. I also got to register some of them in my Pokegear. I reached the exit of Cycling Road eventually, and I finally arrived in Fuchsia City. I headed my worn-out Pokemon at the Fuchsia City Pokemon Center shortly after arriving. I swapped Pokemon at the Pokemon Center's PC, and then I left to explore the city a bit. I visited the Pal Park building after picking an Apricorn, and I transferred some Legendaries from Pearl version. I then visited the local Poke Mart, and I purchased some Max Repels. I entered the Fuchsia City Gym after checking my team, and I began to battle against the various Gym trainers inside. I was able to defeat most of them without encountering too many difficulties, and then I healed my Pokemon again at the Pokemon Center before returning. I then saved.

OK, after dealing with team Rocket, I headed to Blackthorn city. I trained a lot and caught a few Pokes for the dex in the Ice path and en route to Blackthorn. Upon arriving in Blackthorn, I left the city to train a bit more before heading to the final gym. At the gym, I fought with the leader Clair and surprisingly enough, I got lucky against her Kingdra because I landed a critical hit, which one hit KOed Kingdra. After that, I did the usual in the Dragon's Den and finally got the badge after the test. From there, I headed back home to New Bark to get the Master ball from Prof. Elm. Now, I'm at Ecruteak and am about to challenge the Kimono girls.

I returned to the Fuchsia City Gym after I finished healing my Pokemon at the local Pokemon Center. I made my way towards the middle of the Gym after bumping into the invisible walls, and I found Janine there. We talked, and then we started to battle. She sent out her Ariados first, and I used my Typhlosion against it. Its Flamethrower attack was more than enough to defeat Janine's Ariados, and then Janine sent out her Crobat. I sent out Raichu, and used Thunder Bolt attack against it. Crobat fainted. I used my Golem against Janine's Weezing and I beat it with Rock Slide, and then I fought her Venomoth with Typhlosion again. Once Venomoth had lost, I had to fight against Janine's last Ariados. I had Feraligatr attack it with Surf, and it fainted. I obtained the Soul Badge from Janine as well as the TM containing Poison Jab, and then I saved before leaving the Fuchsia City Gym.

After Celadon's Gym, the next gym on the checklist was Fuschia's. All it took was a long stroll on Cycling Road, and the beating up of a ton of Bikers. They have Heracross Cycles! So cool! I'd so want one of those. Apparently the Safari Zone was transferred to Johto, so now the Pal Park is here. Cool, but that's not of interest- the gym is, and it was full of invisible walls, and lookalikes of the new gym leader...

Bareilles took a Wing Attack from the big bad bat Crobat before frying it with Thunderbolt. She also OHKO'd Weezing with the same move.

Elapidae faced Ariados with Crunch, while it hit back with a weak Psychic. Earthquake let it BARELY LIVE, and it made a Scary Face before being fully restored. It took a few more Crunches and an Earthquake to defeat it. Grandjaws missed two Returns and a Rock Slide while the Venomoth spammed Double Team. That was until the Normal type OHKO'd it with Return. Pandora OHKO'd the second Ariados with Psychic... Wow, that was pretty easy.

OK so I just got to Morty's town, I'll give a rundown of what I've done so far:

    Character name: Alaric
    Rival name: NiKlaus

I started with Totodile, named him Tai. Got to the dark cave and caught a Zubat named Damian, I also caught a Geodude named Rockette, and a Bellsprout, a HootHoot named Owl, and a Ghastly named Magenta. I beat sprout tower, caught 10 of the Unown and challenged Falkner and beat him. Then I caught a Mareep and named him Static, evolved him into a Flaffy, the egg hatched and I named him Bill. I used a secret phrase to get a Slugma egg and named him Mako. Then I caught a Pidgey named strawberry and another Bellsprout I traded for the Onix. I made my way to Bugsy's, beat the slowpoke well and evolved Tai into Croconaw. I beat Bugsy and my rival and got to Goldenrod. I caught a Sunkern and named her Daisy, and dropped off my Geodude, Bellsprout, Ghastly, and HootHoot in the box with the Pidgey, Onix, Togepi, and the Spearow I stole from that guard.

I beat Whitney using: Tai, Mako, Damian, Static, and Daisy. Afterwards I caught Sudowoodo as my 6th party member and HM Slave until I get the Dratini later on. Im going to battle every trainer between Ecruteak and Olivine and then challenge Morty next.
    My team:

Tai, Croconaw, lv 21 item: Shell Bell
Damian, Zubat, lv 19 item: Soothe Bell
Static, Flaffy, lv 20 item: Quick Claw
Mako, Slugma, lv 20 item: Charcoal
Daisy, Sunkern, lv 20 item: Miracle Seed
Terra, Sudowoodo lv 20 item: None
