Since Im kinda waiting for Drummerdude to get his 4th badge, I decided to get not important things out of the way. I delivered Kenya to the fat guy, I got Eevee from Bill (box), trained my team to level 28, and participated in the Pokeathlon a lot to get a certain stone... Well that's pretty much all I did, I also grabed some items.

I taught Feraligatr Ice Punch and Earthquake,Heracross Stone Edge and Earthquake and Nidoking Stone Edge. Then I went to Olivine City and met Professor Oak and he upgraded my Pokedex to national model.I boarded the SS Aqua and battled all the trainers on it.It was also fun searching the Slacking Sailor and the little girl.I arrived in Vermillion City and explored it but there wasn't anything special.I headed to the Vermilion Gym but I had to use an HM Slave to get access to the gym.I boxed my Fearow because its the most overlevelled Pokemon in my team and also it wouldn't have been much effective against electric types.I defeated all the trainers and challenged Lt.Surge.He started with his Raichu and I sent out Arcanine.Raichu used Double Team and Arcanine's Flare Blitz missed. It used another Double Team but this time Flare Blitz hit and Raichu was knocked out.But Arcanine lost about 1/3rd of its HP due to recoil. His First Electrode did little damage with Charge Beam and was OHKO'ed by Flare Blitz. But Arcanine got Paralyzed due to Static activating.Arcanine used ExtremeSpeed to do some damage to his second Electrode and it used Double Team.It used Shock Wave which left Arcanine with little HP.Arcanine defeated it with Flare Blitz but it also fainted due to recoil. He sent out Magneton and I Heracross.Heracross's Earthquake OHKO'ed it.It's Earthquake also OHKO'ed Electabuzz even though it took some damage from Shock Wave.I received the Thunder Badge,my first Badge in Kanto and ninth overall.I also got TM for Shock Wave.I went to Johto because I was feeling homesick I wanted to battle some Trainers who had called on Pokegear.I then saved the game.

Ok, I finally started against some Gym Leaders in Kanto, First with Lt Surge, then I defeated Sabrina and Erika as well and got their badges. Anyway, after that, I've been training some more and I caught a Swinub (just now, dunno why) whom I'll probably be training to be a Mamoswine, as a possible next member of my team. Anyways, right now, I'm gonna plan my next move and possible, the next leader I'll be challenging would be Janine in Fuschia city.

I continued to play the Pokeathlon until I had 2500 points so I could purchase a Metal Coat for Scyther. Then I biked around with Eevee until I finally got its happiness and evolved Eevee into Umbreon! Then I spent a little time training up Skiploom until it evolved into Jumpluff! Finally it was time to continue with the story so I went to the Burned Tower and battled my rival before releasing the dogs into the wild. I trained up Umbreon and Miltank for a minute and then took on the gym. Umbreon and Miltank beat the four trainers and then I challenged Morty. Umbreon took out his Gastly and one of his Haunters with Pursuit and Miltank beat the second Haunter and stalled his Gengar until it could no longer attack. Once it couldn't attack Miltank used Stomp until it fainted. Morty rewarded me with a badge and a TM. I healed up and took a break. My team is Lv23-25 with the exception of Jumpluff who is at lv27.

I defeated the few trainers on Route 6 and arrived in Saffron City.I went around the city a bit and it seemed very boring with nothing much interesting.I went to the Saffron Gym and defeated all the trainers. Then I healed and battled Sabrina. She wasn't as easy as I had expected but I defeated her.She sent out her Espeon while I started with Arcanine.Espeon used Skill Swap to exchange Arcanine's Intimidate for its Synchronize while Arcanine did some damage with Crunch.Espeon used Psychic to do some damage to Arcanine but it was defeated by another one of Arcanine's Crunch. She sent out Mr.Mime.Arcanine survived Mr.Mime's Psychic at 2 HP and did some damage with Crunch but was defeated with one more Psychic.I sent out Heracross.Mr.Mime used Mimic but it failed and it was defeated by Heracross's Earthquake. She sent out Alakazam. It defeated Heracross with one Psychic.I sent out Feraligatr.Alakazam used Reflect to raise its and its team's defense.Feraligatr's Crunch did some damage.Feraligatr took heavy damage from Alakazam's Energy Ball and did some damage with Crunch. But it couldn't survive another Energy Ball and was defeated.I sent out Nidoking who was OHKO'ed by Psychic. Then I sent out Ampharos.Alakazam used Skill Swap to exchange Ampharos's Static for its Inner Focus. It was defeated by Ampharos's Signal Beam.I won the Marsh Badge.I saved the game.

Well after doing those useless things, I decided to continue my trip. I walked west of Ecruteak City and battled all trainers there. Then I met Baoba and he told me about the Safari Zone, will check it out later, maybe. I saw this farm with a sick Miltank and some girls asked for Oran Berries, but I didn't have enough so I told them I would come back much later to help. Then as I arrived in Olivine City, I saw Drummer and he was a douche like usual. Anyways we visited the lighthouse and after beating every trainer we met Jasmine and her sick Pokemon, Ampharos. She asked us if we could get her some medicine and we accepted the request. We got on our Poliwhirl and before we headed to Cianwood, we picked up Charge Beam and taught it to Girafarig. We cleared every trainer in the sea, arrived in Cianwood and stopped/saved.

Re-battle the Gym Leaders and/or the Elite Four. At least it's easier in HGSS than in the original GSC, where you could only battle an underlevelled E4.

12/10/2012: I saved at Lance's chamber yesterday, so I was there ready to beat Lance! The battle was long, but epic. Gyarados did amazingly good using Ice Fang on all the Dragonite and Waterfall on Aerodactyl and Charizard. My last remaining Pokémon was Gyarados too, with I think around 20 HP (I did use alot of Revives and Hyper Potions)! After the battle, I went to the Hall of Fame and the credits came. After that, I went to professor Elm's lab and he gave me an S.S. Ticket! So I went to Olivine City where Oak upgraded my Regional Pokédex to the National Pokédex! Then I went on the ship, beat the trainers and helped the old man finding his daughter. When we arrived at Vermillion City I went straight to the Vermillion Gym! The battle with Lt. Surge was rough and hard, but I made it. Typhlosion was my only remaining Pokémon with only 13 HP left! I will continue my journey through Kanto tomorrow!

Not much happened.I went through Route 7 and arrived in Celadon City.I checked out the few places there. Then I went over to the gym.Since Cut was needed inside and outside the gym,I boxed Fearow for my HM Slave Furret.I defeated all the gym trainers. Then I healed my Pokemon and challenged Erika and surprisingly, she was difficult and managed to defeat 3 of my Pokemon. She started with her Jumpluff and I sent out my Heracross.Jumpluff used Sunny Day to set up sunny weather while Heracross's Stone Edge did it heavy damage.Erika used Full Restore to heal its HP while Heracross's Stone Edge did it heavy damage again.Jumpluff used U-Turn and switched to Victreebel who was OHKO'ed by Heracross's Aerial Ace.Erika sent out Jumpluff again. It used Leech Seed on Heracross but was defeated with Aerial Ace.Erika sent out her Bellosom.Bellosom's SolarBeam and Heracross's Aerial Ace did some damage to each other.Heracross's health was sapped by Leech Seed.Heracross's Aerial Ace did some damage to Bellosom but its Sitrus Berry,Synthesis and Leech Seed healed its HP fully.Heracross used Aerial Ace to do some damage while Bellosom used Sunny Day to make the weather sunny again.Heracross's health was sapped by Leech Seed.Heracross was defeated by SolarBeam.I sent out Feraligatr.Feraligatr was OHKO'ed by Bellosom's SolarBeam.I sent out Nidoking. It took heavy damage from SolarBeam but knocked out Bellosom with Poison Jab.Erika sent out Tangela.Tangela used Sleep Powder to make Nidoking asleep.Full Heal woke up Nidoking and it took some damage from Bellosom's Giga Drain.Nidoking's Poison Jab did heavy damage to Tangela but it knocked out Nidoking with AncientPower.I sent out Arcanine.Arcanine knocked out Tangela with Flare Blitz.I won the Rainbow Badge and TM Giga Drain.I healed my Pokemon and saved the game.

So, since my last update, which saw me in Azalea, my team has moved around and shifted back and forth as I beat the Bugsy, Whitney, Morty, Chuck, Jasmine, and Pryce. I beat the Rocket's in Mahogany and at the Radio Tower, and I think I have come to my final team, at least for now. And I have decided to use the Red Gyarados.

    Team:

The plan is to get a Fire Stone and evolve Vulpix after it gets to level 47, and I will be evolving Haunter as soon as I trade it over to my Diamond. Flaaffy I want to hold off on evolving for a while. Gyarados I want to replace.

Just started a Nuzlocke run with Totodile. HGSS is probably one of the easiest in the series, so I think a Nuzlocke will breathe life into that old cartridge.

13/10/2012: I beat all the trainers on Kanto Route 6. When I arrived at Saffron City, I went to heal up my Pokémon and then went to the Gym. I beat all the trainers in the Gym except for Sabrina (She's too strong for me right now). My Typhlosion then learned Flamethrower! So I went to Cerulean City and then went to Kanto Route 25, where I beat the trainers. I then saved the game.

I'm all the way at Azalea now. Totodile, Togepi, Geodude, Sentret, Pidgey. Apart from the massive fighting weakness this team's going fairly well. I'm going to try for Heracross after the gym. It'll be a pain to train him up, but he'll be a vital team member. About to go in the gym, and I'm expecting Scyther might be too much for me. I'll grind everyone up a level(maybe 2 for Sentret/Pidgey) and then head in.

EDIT: Got caught out by Silver in east Azalea, and unfortunately my Sentret died to his vastly overpowered bayleef. Pidgey was my saving grace, depleting the PP of Synthesis and soldiering on through repeated Razor Leafs. I did get an Oddish in Ilex Forest and named him N.E.O. I slaughtered my way through Azalea gym until scyther. Damn, that thing is brutal. It took 2/3rds of Geodude with U-turn. Thankfully, Bugsy is an idiot, so I managed to get a Rock Throw in and OHKO it. Got the badge caught Heracross and I'm on my way to Goldenrod city.

Maaaan, Leveling up is tough, right now I'm training against the Gym leaders for me to finally fight Red soon. Anyways, I'm training my team to be at level 70-80 for that big battle. Also, while I was training, I was going around and I ran into Entei and by a stroke of luck I caught the Pokemon. Wow, I never thought I would catch that beast.

I went through the empty Route 16.I battled and defeated the few trainers on Route 17.I defeated the three trainers on Route 18 and arrived in Fuchsia City.I went around the city and the only place of interest was Pal Park.I think they have seriously ruined Kanto in these games.Just go from one city to another without many trainers and all the features of Kanto seem to have shifted to Johto for no apparent reason.I went to and defeated all the trainers in the gym, healed and battled Janine. She was very easy.I just had to use 2 Pokemon. She started with Crobat and I sent out Ampharos.Crobat's Wing Attack did very little damage and it was defeated by Ampharos's Discharge.Janine sent out Weezing.Ampharos OHKO'ed it with Discharge.Janine sent out her first Ariados. It was OHKO'ed by Discharge. She sent out her second Ariados which too was OHKO'ed by Discharge.Janine sent out Venomoth(the only Pokemon to give me any competition).Venomoth used Double Team to raise its evasiveness.Ampharos's Discharge missed.Venomoth used Double Team again.Ampharos's Discharge did heavy damage but Venomoth's Sitrus Berry restored some of its HP.Venomoth used Sludge Bomb which not only did some damage but also poisoned Ampharos.Ampharos's Discharge missed and it was hurt by Poison.Venomoth defeated Ampharos with another Sludge Bomb.I sent out Nidoking.Nidoking took heavy damage from Venomoth's Psychic but defeated it with Stone Edge.I won the Soul Badge and got TM Poison Jab.I saved the game.

After I visited the Power Plant east of Cerulean City and solved the power crisis there, I headed for the Pokemon Center that was near the entrance to Rock Tunnel. I healed my Pokemon there and then I traveled through the cave; I captured a wild Kangaskhan while I wandered through it. I finally arrived just north of Lavender Town, and once I was in the city, I headed to the local radio station. I talked to a man there and he upgraded my Pokegear's radio so that it would play the Pokeflute station. I went south to Route 12 and I did some fishing there before moving on to Route 11. I battled some of the trainers in that area, then I came face to face with the sleeping Snorlax that was blocking the entrance to Diglett's Cave. I played the Pokeflute station music and it woke up. I battled it with Magmar and then I captured it inside an Ultra Ball. I saved at the Vermilion City Pokemon Center.

Finally and about time. I finally defeated Red today. I just feel so good after doing that. It was tough, true but I was able to beat him with my really powerful team which are in the 70s-80s. Now I'm still in Kanto though and I already picked my Kanto starter, Charmander who happens to be my fave starter of all time.

I derped around Kanto the last few days. I beat all the trainers around Cerulean, Celadon, Saffron, Lavender and Fuchsia City and I beat Erika, Janine and (finally) Sabrina. Oh yeah, I also got the TM for Psychic from Mr. Psychic and Togetic learned it. Now I'm gonna continue my journey and see if I can get a Shiny Stone for Togetic.

I headed back to Celadon City after I captured the sleeping Snorlax. I bought some items there and then I returned to Vermilion City. I entered Diglett's Cave on Route 11, and I wandered through it. I encountered a few wild Diglett inside, and I captured one. I continued to follow the tunnel until I found the exit. I arrived at Route 2 near Pewter City. I used Cut to cut down a tree that was blocking the way to the city, and I entered the Pokemon Center when I arrived. I swapped Pokemon at the PC and then I went back out to explore the city. I visited the Pewter Museum of Science, then I talked to the characters around town. I reached the Pewter City Gym eventually, and I decided to challenge it right away. I defeated the two Gym trainers inside, and then I healed my Pokemon again. I returned to the Gym when that was complete, and I saved the game before challenging Brock.

I found myself at Ecruteak with the potential to raise a team of Feraligatr, Exeggutor, Magmortar, Togekiss, Heracross and Golem. I've wanted to use all these pokemon but couldn't because I couldn't trade on my first playthrough 2 years ago and a few other reasons. So I abandoned my Nuzlocke, to be finished another day. Right now I'm in Olivine just after defeating Chuck. He was a bit of a breather thanks to Lestrade and Exeggute. In fact, a trainer's Hitmonchan gave me much more trouble than Chuck's pokemon.

    After training in Mt. Mortar, I 'll take on the Olivine gym. Here's my team right now;

    Hertz the Croconaw
    Poncho the Exeggute
    Sulad the Magmar
    Lestrade the Togetic
    Coleos the Heracross
    Cho the Graveler

They're all lvl 27 apart from Heracross who's 25. He's such a beast that he doesn't need to be levelled properly. Sulad's also lvl 25. Even with Ember he's wrecking his way through the game.

I challenged Brock to a battle, and he sent out his Graveler first, and I used my Golduck against it. I defeated Graveler with Surf attack, and then Brock sent out his Kabutops. I switched to Meganium, and I defeated Kabutops with Solarbeam. I switched to Golduck again when Brock sent out his Onix, but the battle ended quickly after Golduck used Surf again. Brock used Rhyhorn. I used my Meganium again, and I defeated Rhyhorn with Mega Drain. I used Magneton against Brock's Omastar, and then I defeated him and earned the Boulder Badge and his Gym's TM. I headed out to the local Pokemon Center to heal my injured Pokemon after that. I bought some more items, and then I left town. I wandered around Route 3 a bit and I battled some trainers there. I eventually arrived at the Pokemon Center near Mt. Moon, and I swapped Pokemon on the PC. I then saved the game.

I defeated the two trainers on Route 10.I went through the Rock Tunnel and arrived at the Pokemon Centre.I went to the Power Plant and came to know of a suspicious presence in Cerulean City.I defeated all the trainers on Route 9 and arrived in Cerulean City.I explored the city a bit and then went to the Gym.There was no one there but a Team Rocket Grunt.I chased after him on Route 24 and defeated him.He told me that he had hidden the Machine Part in Cerulean Gym.I went there and got the Machine Part.I then went to Route 25 and defeated all the trainers there.I met Misty at Cerulean Cape.I then went to the gym and defeated all the trainers. Then I healed and challenged Misty. My Heracross solo'ed her entire team. She started with Golduck and I sent out Heracross.Heracross's Close Combat did heavy damage but its Defense and Sp.Defense fell.Golduck used Disable to prevent the use of Close Combat.Misty used Full Restore to heal Golduck's HP while Heracross did heavy damage with Megahorn.Heracross knocked out Golduck with Earthquake.Misty sent out Quagsire.Heracross's Megahorn did heavy damage while Quagsire used Amnesia to raise its Sp.Defense.Heracross knocked out Quagsire with Earthquake.Misty sent out Lapras.Heracross's Stone Edge missed and Lapras used Sing to put Heracross to sleep.I used Full Heal to wake up Heracross while Lapras did some damage with Ice Beam.Heracross's Close Combat was no more disabled.Heracross defeated Lapras with Close Combat but its Defense and Sp.Defense fell.Misty sent out Starmie.Starmie did some damage with Ice Beam but was defeated by Heracross's Megahorn.I won the Cascade Badge and got TM Water Pulse.I saved the game.
