After doing a bit of shopping, it was time to go toward the Pokemon League! Due to HM reasons, I had to drop off Carolina for the trip at the PC. I also then traded S.MachoMan and then back so he could come back in his final form. I then got out the Red Gyarados and taught it Strength and Waterfall. With Lyra out of the way, we surfed east, and then a big guy came up to us looking amazed. He gasped and asked us if we knew what we just did? Jimmy replied saying he surfed off of a 1'4' ammonite. But no, we have instead taken our first step into Kanto! We checked the Pokegear Map and confirmed so.

We entered a cave that "divided the regions between Johto and Kanto". We had to Waterfall to get across. Along the way, there were already trainers there, but they didn't have Pokemon with Waterfall! How'd they get over here? (Cheaters) Anyhow, we stomp through mostly Ace Trainers, who have little to say. I like Cooltrainers better though. At least neither of them will attempt to whip me. My team stays in fairly decent shape the whole way, though Escargo usually ends up being picked on a lot due to his Grass weakness. Anyhow, in the Pokemon League Entrance there's a guy there that needs to check if you have all the badges. Why?! You'd need all the badges in order to use the HM for Waterfall in the first place! And apparently, we can't go west due to harsh Pokemon (despite it being great training) and we can't go east because "it is blocked". I doubt it is.

Inside Victory Road, there isn't much to say besides the TM for Earthquake, which I'll teach to Kindle later. However, right before the exit, a red headed guy approaches... That's right, Ranjit challenges us one more time...

    V.S.

Despite us being slightly outnumbered in strong party members, Ranjit is actually disatvantaged himself. He may say he is at his strongest, but as of this generation, ALL BUT HIS STARTER ARE NOT FULLY EVOLVED. Sure he doesn't have the National Dex and we're nowhere near Sinnoh, but still. Also he added a Kadabra on his team for some reason. Not sure why, doesn't fit him at all. Anyhow he starts with Sneasel, and S.MachoMan cuts it in half with Brick Break. Then it's against Kadabra, and Kindle Shadow Claws it, defeating it easily. Against Feraligatr, WOW! It didn't use Scary Face for once and actually Crunched Nassie! Ah well, it was defeated by one Energy Ball anyway.

Golbat was next, and Escargo had a bit of trouble with him due to Confuse Ray, however, Escargo pulled through with an Ice Beam and Surf. He could've just switched to his Magneton, who came out next. Cannonbolt easily destroyed it, and with Kindle against Haunter, you probably know the result of what would happen. Anyway Ranjit ran away, and at a significantly faster rate than how we do, and then we entered... the Pokemon League. LET THE TRAINING COMMENCE!

I left the Celadon City Gym, and I healed my Pokemon at the local Pokemon Center before heading south to Fuchsia City to battle Janine for the Soul Badge. I arrived at Cycling Road, and I headed south to Fuchsia. I battled tons of Biker-class trainers along the way there, and I managed to level up my Pokemon thanks to those battles. I kept going downhill until I arrived at the end of Cycling Road. I arrived in Fuchsia City, and I healed my Pokemon before exploring the town. I visited the Pal Park facility, the Poke Mart, the Warden's house, and then I entered the Fuchsia City Gym. I battled two Gym trainers, but I realized that I needed to train my Pokemon some more. I did some training, then I taught Psychic to the Mismagius that I was carrying around with me since that would come in handy against the Poison-type Pokemon.

    Day 121 Friday , August 19, 2011 9:40,1,2,3 PM
I decided that I would enter my first of two Pokeathlons for the Day ! It was a Jump Pokeathlon with Ariados , Ampharos , and Meganium ! We were escorted to the Stadium ! After a little while, the Pokeathlon started! After the three Events , we had 309 Points , which got us Second Place ! After a little while, we left the Stadium ! The Clerks then gave us 309 Athlete Points as that's how many Points we got in this Jump Pokeathlon ! I thanked them! I then decided to enter my second of two, and last Pokeathlon for the Day ! It was a Speed Pokeathlon with Kingler , Sudowoodo , and Murkrow ! We were escorted to the Stage ! After a little while, the Pokeathlon started! In the first Event , the Hurdle Dash , we got 116.9 Seconds , which was a Personal Record for me, but it was only enough for Third Place in the Event ! After the other two Events were done, so, after all three of the Events were done, we had 331 Points , which got us First Place ! I got three Speed Medals , one for each of my three Pokemon that participated in this Speed Pokeathlon ! After a little while, we left the Stage ! The Clerks then gave us 331 Athlete Points , as that's how many Points we got in this Speed Pokeathlon ! We also got 100 Bonus Athlete Points for winning this Speed Pokeathlon ! I then saved to the Clerk's left, in front of the PC , and to the left of the Records Board . 92:56
    My Team is:
    Meganium Lv.60
    Ampharos Lv.60
    Murkrow Lv.59
    Ariados Lv.59
    Sudowoodo Lv.59
    Kingler Lv.59
I decided that I would participate in two more Pokeathlons today, as I most likely will tomorrow, and for a little while more! I am happy with how I did! I might start training my Pokemon a little more soon, also getting a Dusk Stone , or using one to evolve Murkrow ! I hope that you like this rather short-, medium-, large-sized Update ! Thanks for reading!

I switched to SoulSilver version, and I spent a lot of time breeding Hoenn and Kanto Starter Pokemon. I picked up a Bulbasaur egg first, then I picked up the otheer five eggs, and I went around with my Slugma in order to hatch the eggs faster. Even with the effect of Flame Body, it still took around 10 minutes for the eggs to hatch. Afterwards, I used the Dowsing Machine at the Ruins of Alph, and I discovered tons of items that I had neglected to pick up before. I headed to Violet City afterwards, and I did some stuff at the Pokemon Center. I went off to train some of my Pokemon, then I battled against Clair at the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City. I gained tons of experience from that battle, then I went to Celadon City to play at the Game Corner. I saved after collecting 200 coins in the Voltorb Flip game.

Well I decided to return ti Olivine and battle trainers on the return trip. I dropped off the secret potion and helped Jasmine's Amphy. I then headed towards Mahogany Town and then cleared the route towards the Lake of Rage. I went up and battled the Red Gyarados, caught it with a Brave nature which is okay with me because of Dragondance. I decided to return to Cianwood because Baoba said the safari zone is finished.
    My Team:
    Quilava - lv 24
    Sunflora - lv 26
    Togetic - lv 24
    Krabby - lv 20
    Sudowoodo - lv 24
    Flaaffy - lv 26
    Gyarados - lv 30

It's a Forretress, what else needs to be said?

I recently started a new game on Soul Silver, which I had completely neglected since the release of Black and White. I did all the starting shizz (beating my rival with ease), picking up a Totodile with a Hasty Nature. I battled the trainers, but didn't pick up any items to be honest. I reached Violet City, and did some training outside on Route 32. And it was then I picked up my Pidgey after going to the other end of Violet City.

I simply tossed a Pokéball at the first Pidgey I encountered and caught it with no problems. After some training here and there, Totodile reached Lv10 as did Pidgey, who learned Gust as well. I headed to Sprout Tower, and battled all the way through without a problem. After beating the elder and having my Totodile learn Bite, I exited and headed for the gym. Beating the trainers with ease, I faced off against Falkner...

    VS

Easily done here. Two Gusts from my Pidgey and it fell to the ground in defeat.

    VS

It ramped up a bit here. One Gust and a Quick Attack was all Pidgey did, and that dealt nearly a quarter of Pidgeotto's health, and Two Tackles finished off my Pidgey.

    VS

Now I had a better grip on battle. I spammed Bite, but it Roosted a couple of times. I spammed it more and eventually knocked it out of the sky.

I recieved the badge, and headed to the Pokémart and recieved the egg which I knew was a Togepi from previous runthroughs. I ran out of Violet and through most of Route 32. I eventually brought myself into a PokéCenter. I healed there and saved for the night after trying to book a room, but they were all taken...

After looking around Lavender Town, I headed North and through Rock Tunnel. Eventually I reached the outside again, and found myself on a green plateau. Here, I surfed to the Power Plant. Inside, the manager was goin' psycho batshit so I was morally obliged to find the missing part to his machine. Nothing else here was of interest, so I flew back to Lavender Town.

From Lavender Town, I headed West and back to Saffron, battling the trainers along the way. It wasn't long before I reached Saffron City. After my long route around Kanto, my Pokemon had got considerably stronger, so I was feeling confident about my battle against Sabrina.

Since I'd already battled all the Gym trainers, the Gym was a matter of teleportation. I soon reached Sabrina and I begun our rematch.

This time, Spook outran her Espeon and got an OHKO Shadow Ball against it. Next up, she sent out Mr. Mime to which I switched out for Rocky. Rocky managed to defeat Mr. Mime with two Crunches, without conceding damage. Last up was Alakazam. Unfortunately, Spook wasn't fast enough so he was OHKO'd by a Psychic attack from Alakazam. Rocky seemed to be the only Pokemon who could stand up against Alakazam's power, so I sent him out again.

With a minute struggle, Rocky defeated Alakazam, clinging on with 12HP. With this win in the bag, Sabrina bestowed upon me the Marsh Badge and the TM for Skill Swap. I then left the Gym and saved my progress, I'll head to Cerulean City next, and obtain my 5th Kanto Gym Badge.

I did some more training around the route east of Fuchsia City, then I headed to the Fuchsia City Gym to challenge Janine for the Soul Badge. I had to battle her Gym trainers first though, and they were pretty tricky since they also used Poison-type Pokemon. I eventually had to heal at the local Pokemon Center because some of my Pokemon got poisoned. I decided to return to the routes east of town in order to train some more. I battled tons of trainers along the route, and then as I headed north, I saw Suicune. Eusine came by, and after that, I battled the trainers on the north end of the path. I eventually returned to the Fuchsia City Gym, and I battled the remaining Gym trainers while making my way towards Janine's area of the Gym. I finally found her, and I saved before battling her.

I left Saffron City, walked two steps north and arrived in Cerulean City. Looked around, realised there was nothing to do UNTIL I went to the Gym and bumped into a member of Team Rocket. We had a nice chat, turns out we went to the same Evil Villain class in high school. So time was getting on and he ran off.

Turns out, he was the guy who took the machine part and who made the Power Plant manager go apeshit, so I chased him like the annoying, persistent protagonist I am. I chased him onto the bridge where he was soooo totally invading this couple. I battled him cuz I'm so totally Jerry Springer and all that and he ran off to Unova. I went back to the Gym and took back the machine part.

I then headed to Cerulean Cape and battled all the trainers along the way and eventually recieved a nugget. Worthwhile. I also saw Misty who had kidnapped someone and forced them to 'date' her. He ran off, she got angry. She went to Gym. I go to Gym.

    Tomorrow.

I just got to Blackthorn City, but I'm horribly under-levelled.
I don't feel like grinding, so I'm planning on doing some Pokédex work.

Plus, I'm gonna go to the Pokéathlon :D

I then decided to enter my second of two, and my last Pokeathlon for the Day ! It was a Skill Pokeathlon with Ampharos , Murkrow , and Ariados ! We were escorted to the Stadium ! After a little while, the Pokeathlon started! After the three Events , we got 304 Points , which got us Second Place , eight Points out of First Place , but that's ok! We're happy with Second Place ! After a little while, we left the Stadium ! The Clerks then gave us 304 Athlete Points , because that's how many Points we got in this Skill Pokeathlon ! I thanked them! I then saved to the Clerk's left, in front of the PC , and to the left of the Records Board . 93:18

Well, all of my team has been trained to at least Lv. 47. The E4 fights begin tomorrow! But before that happens, lets reminisce of all the gym battles we've faced...

    King of the Bird Keepers
    FALKNER
Kindle sent the Pidgeotto out of the sky with a Quick Attack.

    Gender-Confused Bug Catcher
    BUGSY
S.MachoMan Rock Slided the Kakuna, squashing the bug easily.

Pink-Haired Death Wielder with a Cow
    WHITNEY
S.MachoMan, who would normally be in love, Brick Breaked the Miltank.

Creepy Guy with a Scarf who Wants to Be Legendary and Stuff
    MORTY
Carolina was being a Brave Bird and spooked the Haunter so much that it Cursed and fainted.

Ferocious Fighting Fighter with only Two Fighting Fighters
    CHUCK NORRIS
Nassie's Energy Ball knocked the Poliwrath out, putting it down for the count.

Steel Clad Defense Girl of Awesome
    JASMINE
    S. Macho Man shattered the Magnemite with Brick Break, showing that it truly had an iron will.

Once the Masked Man of Ice, Now Just an Old and Cold Man of Ice
    PRYCE
Escargo used Rollout on the Dewgong, knocking it out cold.

Crashing Crazy Queen with Questionable Cyan Clothing Attire
    CLAIR
S.MachoMan Brick Breaked the Kingdra, though a Leech Seed knocked the dragon out.

Man, I've used S.MachoMan way too much... O.O Ah well. Here are my team's final stats going into the E4, all but Kindle is Lv. 47, and he is lv. 48. The bolded is the highest in each stat:

Kindle: 147/104/99/122/93/126 Serious, and likes to run.
Carolina: 148/88/84/75/74/111 Jolly, but often dozes off.
S.MachoMan: 148/146/94/63/99/78 Careful, and it likes to thrash about.
Nassie: 158/111/109/138/69/78 Rash, and is capable of taking hits.
Cannonbolt: 168/136/129/74/75/68 Serious, but often dozes off.
Escargo: 132/59/134/138/84/68 Modest, though hates to lose.

My team is very Defensive based, but doesn't have much speed. Surprised that Nassie and Escargo tie in Sp. Attack.

I healed my Pokemon after the Gym trainer battles, then I challenged Janine. She sent out her Crobat first, and I sent out my Noctowl to battle against it. I used Psychic, and Janine's Crobat fainted since it was weak against Psychic-type attacks. I then used my Typhlosion against Janine's Weezing, and I defeated it with a strong Hyper Beam attack. Janine sent out her Ariados after that, but I used Typhlosion's Flamethrower attack to burn it to a crisp. I defeated her second Ariados with Politoed's Surf attack, then I moved on to her Venomoth, which was a lot tougher than I had expected it to be. I had to use Mismagius's Shadow Ball attack to defeat Venomoth, then I got the Soul Badge and a TM from Janine. I healed at the Pokemon Center, then I saved before heading north to Cerulean City.

E4 Time! We bought some items and placed some seals on my Pokemon, and then enter the room to encounter a purple haired guy who thinks he's a superhero. Also, there's a bunch of mathematical cubes flying everywhere. Who does he think he is, Sho Minamimoto? Nah, he's cooler than...

Purple Psychic Pupil With Powdered Pink Pants
    WILL

    V.S.

Seriously? Two Xatu. There are other Psychic types out there Will, like Espeon, Alakazam, and Mr. Mime. There probably are other people out there who use those... Anyway, against the first Xatu, two Shadow Claws from Kindle defeat it. Against the Slowbro, just one Energy Ball from Nassie finishes is it. Against Jynx, Kindle Flamethrowers it. Same goes to Exeggutor. Against the last Xatu, I switch to Escargo for this one, but it gets confused before it gets the finshing blow, so I switch to Kindle to finish the job.

After defeating Will, I heal my Pokemon, though only Kindle took real damage. We then get ready for E4 member two, which is... A NINJA!

Nasty Pneumatic Ninja That Uses Neurotoxin
    KOGA

    V.S.

I become a lot more strategic in this fight, unlike with Will. Instead of Kindle, I start with Cannonbolt to start up a Rollout combo. Despite Ariados having Giga Drain, it doesn't compete with the power of a critical-2nd turn Rollout. Then he sends out Forretress, so I let Kindle burn it instantly. Against Muk, I go back to Cannonbolt to OHKO it with Earthquake, and with Venomoth, Carolina shines with a pretty strong Brave Bird. Crobat gives us a bit of trouble though, for Escargo has to deal with Double Team spamming. However, I have a secret weapon. I switch to S.MachoMan, who has No Guard, allowing it to hit opponents regardless of evasion, same with the opponent. With him barely being able to live two Wing Attacks, he Thunderpunches the bat, giving us the win.

    Major team update!

I defeated the trainers throughout the lighthouse, Bayleef and Croconaw did most of the damage, they gained some valuable experience.

I decided to enter the Bug Catching Contest with one specific goal in mind - to catch a "top percentage" Sycther. - After a few SR's, an adamant one was caught, he's a beast.

Soon after, I scavenged Magnemites until a found one holding a metal coat, in case you haven't guessed already .. Scizor is now a new member to my team. My team is shaping up!

    lv. 17 [Under Special Training]
    lv. 30
    lv. 28
    lv. 28
    lv. 28

I decided to head towards Cerulean City using the routes east of Fuchsia City, since I still hadn't visited Lavender Town. I made my way around there, and then I realized that I had a Chansey swarm, so I captured a couple Chansey, then I headed north along the bridges on the eastern side of Kanto. I arrived in Lavender Town before long, and I healed at the Pokemon Center since I had to battle trainers on the way there. I bought some healing items at the local Poke Mart, then I visited Mr. Fuji's house, and then the House of Memories. I got bored, so I visited the Lavender Town Radio Tower as well. I then left towards Saffron City, and I headed north until I reached Cerulean City. I talked to the various people there in town, then I visited the Cerulean Gym only to find a Team Rocket grunt inside. He left, then I headed north to Route 25.

The next fight with the E4 takes over a pit of LAVA! Again, why the lava? The Johto rule regulations must be rusty or something... Plus the guy who we're fighting doesn't use any Fire types. Ah well. We shall do battle with...

    BRUNO
    V.S.

One Psychic from Nassie defeats the Hitmontop. Hitmonlee was next, and thinking it would use Hi Jump Kick I let Carolina use Fly. It didn't try to Jump Kick rather High, but Fly OHKO'd it anyway. Kindle then went up against Hitmonchan, who took a Thunderpunch, but countered with two Flamethrowers. The giant Onix attacked Escargo, and hit it with a heavy critical hit Earthquake, though one Surf washed it up. Lastly was Machamp, and though I could've had a Machamp VS Machamp battle I opted not to and let Nassie OHKO it with Psychic.

It's time for the final fight of the four, and the arena's full of crystals! This old lady has a very odd choice of fashion, being with that long grey hair of hers. Ah well, we'll talk fashion later as we deal with...

S.MachoMan starts the fight with one Cross Chop destroying Umbreon. Good thing too, that thing annoyed me many times in the past. A Rollout combo with Cannonbolt easily knocked out Murkrow. Vileplume- ok really Karen why do you have a Vileplume on you team- was OHKO'd with Carolina's Brave Bird. I kept her in against Gengar, with it Spiting her while still being a Brave Bird. It tried a Destiny Bond, but I chose Fly instead, making it knocked out. Last up was the dreaded Houndoom, which Escargo was sent up against. While the dog was thinking up some Nasty Plots, Escargo awesomely OHKO'd it with a critical-hit Surf. Oh yeah!

After Karen did a fabulous speech that is the I Have a Dream equivalent of Pokemon (in opinion), we enter the next room and encounter many gold statues of Pokemon. I heal up my team, and Jimmy cannot believe who he sees (I don't).

I am still training my team. Currently everyone is lv 27 except Daisy and Angel. I have decided to go for an extreme speed dratini as my 6th team member even though I have Belle. I'm just not going to teach it any flying moves.

It turns out, the champion was Lance all along... However, he has a deeper secret to confess to us... Decades ago, he discovered the mighty object known as the Gameshark! With such item, he caught all his Pokemon from scratch, and hacking moves on them! His acts have all been a trick for over a decade! And with such Gameshark he has become the master of all of Johto! Plus he generously gave his luck hax powers to a select few. Jimmy and his crew have to stop and defeat...

This is it! The final battle of Johto! Lance starts off with his Gyarados, while I send out S.MachoMan. A Thunderpunch from him does quite a bit, not enough to knock him out, while Gyarados Waterfalls. Of course, a Gamesharker must have 100 Full Restores, right? He pulls out one, but the next Thunderpunch used is a critical hit, instantly KOing it. Charizard was up next, so I switched to Escargo. After being Air Slashed, one Ancientpower destroyed it.

Now it was time for Dragonite 1, the one of Electric. I go to Cannonbolt since it can't use half of its attacks against it. A Defense Curl weakened the power of Dragon Rush slightly, and after some Ice Shards he's down for the count. Surprisingly he doesn't heal. Against Dragonite 2, the one of Ice, I switch to Kindle temporarily to take hits while I heal up my other Pokemon, specifically S.MachoMan. After he faints, I switch to him and Ice Punch it. Lance heals but a Stone Edge and Ice Punch afterwards defeats it, though S.MachoMan is severely weakened. Against the Aerodactyl, it has moves Super-Effective against my whole team- except for Cannonbolt. I start a Defense-Curl Rollout combo and despite missing once, it goes down in two hits.

Last up is Dragonite 3, he one of Fire. I send out Escargo. Due to instinct, Dragonite used Safeguard, however, firing an Ice Beam with all of its strength and being a critical hit Escargo OHKOs Lance's third Dragonite, giving Jimmy the win and title of Johto Champion!

Lance flees but Prof. Oak and Mary catches him and sends him away- though he'll come back later. Jimmy and Prof. Oak enter the next room- after being interviewed anyway, and places his Pokemon's Pokeballs in the cool entry thing... and Jimmy, Kindle, Carolina, S.MachoMan, Nassie, Cannonbolt, and Escargo are entered into the Hall of Fame.
