    Day 119 Wednesday , August 17, 2011 10:09,10,1 PM
I decided that I would enter my first of two Pokeathlons for the Day . It was a Stamina Pokeathlon with Ariados , Meganium , and Ampharos ! We were escorted to the Stadium . After a little while, the Pokeathlon started! After the three Events , we got 332 Points , which got us First Place ! We got three Stamina Medals , one for each of my three Pokemon that participated in this Stamina Pokeathlon ! I thanked them! After a little while, we left. The Clerks then gave us 332 Athlete Points as that's how many Points we got in the Pokeathlon ! We also got a 100 Bonus Athlete Points for winning! I thanked them! I then entered my second and last Pokeathlon for the Day . It was a Power Pokeathlon with Kingler , Sudowoodo , and Murkrow ! We were escorted to the Stage . After a little while, the Pokeathlon started! After the three Events , we got 340 Points , which got us Second Place , eight Points short of First Place ! I thanked them! After a little while, we left! The Clerks then gave us 340 Athlete Points , as that's how many Points we got in the Pokeathlon ! I thanked them! I then saved to the Clerls' left, in front of the PC , and to the left of the Records Board . 92:04

So I finally toppled the entire lighthouse in my training. I forgot how much I love the new design they gave it and of ourselves Jasmine gave me a request to obtain the medicine for Amphy. So I decided to go fishing for a water type. I attempted to capture a Staryu. That didn't work out after I accidentally ko'd it. I managed to capture a Krabby and started surfing dude. I totally like destroyed some trainers on the way to Cianwood brah. I like saw Suicune and then totally battled his stalker, Eusine. After that I realized I needed to train my pokemon for the Cianwood battle. Or I might just take a second look at mahogany Town.

    Update time!

    -Leveled Dratini to lv. 34
-Leveled up the rest of my team a little
-"Challenged" Jasmine. It really wasn't much of a challenge, because my Dragonair PWNed her with Fire Blast.
-Traveled to Mahogany Town, and headed north because of the weird rumors
-Reached Lake of Rage and saw a Red Gyarados! Killed it quickly before it could reproduce and have an army mutant-spawn
-Decided to help some caped weirdo named Lance to help investigate this matter. Following some random guy in a cape to Not At All Suspicious Souvenir Shop... What could possibly go wrong?
-Well, turns out it was a Team Rocket hideout. Battle two grunts and a Scientist, and turned off the alarm system. Quilava evolved!

    Next Up: Finish the hideout

    Not updated in a while.

I headed down back to the Underground where I headed to a door which I could not open previously. I met another Kimono Girl. She talked random stuff and then left. I used the Basment Key on the door and it opened. I headed inside and went down some stairs. I walked along a bit where Silver approached me. He then wanted to fight me.

    VS Silver!

    VS
I used Shadow Ball which didn't much. I was hit by Air Cutter. I switched.

    VS
    He switched.

    VS
I used Surf which did a nice chunk. He switched.

    VS
    I switched.

    VS
I used Flamthrower which did a ton of damage, knocking it out.

    VS
I used Pursuit which knocked it out.

    VS
Flamethrower knocked it out in One hit.

    VS
    Spark knocked it out.

    VS
I used Focus Blast which killed it.

I won! He ran off. I healed.

Gym time! We enter the gym, and due to the unstable footing, the reliable Jim Gui tells us to keep our Pokemon in their Pokeballs. Good thing too, because OH MY GOSH THERE'S LAVA. I don't know about the Johto Gym Requirements of this region, but isn't lava a safety hazard in most conditions. What if the gym battles were so harsh that a Pokemon fell into the lava? An Ice type? Or maybe it isn't lava at all. Maybe it's just really red water that evaporates. But that's still a hazard for those who have a Charmeleon or Charizard... Anyway, the Ace Trainers are very difficult to defeat due to the Difficulty Spike. I have been overleveled for a while until I hit this gym, now they are a lot closer in level. After some floating platform puzzles, we encounter the Gym Leader, who is most likely one of the most challenging in the series...

Crashing Crazy Queen with Questionable Cyan Clothing Attire
    CLAIR

    V.S.

This is without a doubt the most difficult fight we have against a gym leader so far. Due to my lack of Electric type moves, I have to send S.MachoMan against Clair's only new Pokemon, Gyarados. Thanks to Intimidate, my Machoke needs to use two Thunderpunches to defeat it, and takes exactly 80 HP of damage due to two Dragon Rages. Against a Dragonair, Cannonbolt luckily gets a critical hit with Ice Shard. The next Dragonair I have Escargo against, which isn't as lucky and has to deal with parlyzation and a Dragon Pulse before he can Ice Beam it.

Then it's the main threat: The Seahorse of Mystery, the Queen of Kingdras, it's Clair's Kingdra. With a moveset of Smokescreen/Hydro Pump/Dragon Pulse/Hyper Beam, there's no escape. However, I have strategy. Behind the scenes, before the gym fight, I purchased some X Items for this battle. I send Nassie out to Leech Seed, but we miss the first time and it misses with Hyper Beam. After that, my Exeggutor Leech Seed's it successfully and takes a heavy Dragon Pulse, and then another before fainting. I try to send out Carolina and abuse the Leech Seed by Flying, but the Kingdra has the uncanny ability to get critical hits at will, and OHKOs it. Dang. I send out S.MachoMan to Brick Break it, but it does not do enough to make a real difference and is defeated easily. I send Escargo out again to stall for time, though after the Protect a Dragon Pulse destroys it. I also revive S.MachoMan and heal him. In a rather odd move, I go for Kindle, and surprisingly am faster than it, going for a Leer. After falling, I go back to S.MachoMan and put on an X Sp. Defense. After an intense fight with healing, Leech Seeding, and Brick Breaking, with 1 HP left the Leech Seed destroys the dragon.

Oh yeah! We have gotten the badge- Wait what? She's REFUSING to give me the badge?! Why?! We defeated her? What is with this place? Does having a city name of Blackthorn automatically give you the ability to ignore all Pokemon League rules?! Now we have to do some stupid Dragon Challenge? Man, I hate Clair. See this is why I like Jasmine more, she actually gives you the badge, no matter how epic or close the fight is.

After healing I went back to the Underground Tunnel and went back through the door. I then battled a Team Rocket Grunt and pressed a few switchs. When I pressed these switchs a door would open while another one would close. After a while of pressing loads of switchs and battling a few Robbers I made my way through. I pressed a Purple Switch which opened all of the doors. I went to heal. I returned to the place I was before healing. I went through the door where I found myself in some sort of basment type area. It had loads of corridors. I battled a few Team Rocket Grunts and picked up a few items. I then found the Director.

I switched over to SoulSilver version, and I participated in the Bug-Catching Contest again, mostly just to pass the time. I captured three Pokemon before finally decided to keep a Scyther, then I headed over to Ecruteak City once the Bug-Catching Contest was over. I captured a Magmar at the Burned Tower, then I headed to the Pokeathlon Dome to compete in various courses. I tried the Stamina Course first with Snorlax, Rhydon and Rapidash, and we won. I then tried to beat my high score by switched Rapidash and adding Walrein, but I wasn't able to. I tried the Speed Course with Sceptile, Pidgeot and Floatzel, but I wasn't able to win. I then tried the Power Course with Machamp, Hitmonlee and Medicham, and even though I won that, I wasn't able to beat my previous high score. I saved afterwards.

After whooping Janine's sorry ***, I left Fuschia City East. The abundance of trainers provided good training, and good training I'd need if I was going to have any glimmer of hope in obtaining the Marsh Badge. Along the way, I met Eusine who was douchin' out as usual. So after Suicune was scared off again, I headed North towards Lavender Town.

Along the way Kotone learned Flare Blitz, what I'd been waiting for. With this move, I decided to use the Fire Stone in my bag to evolve Kotone into an Arcanine. With Kotone evolved (with fabulous stats, may I add) I kept heading along the routes, as well as the route East of Vermillion. I kept on training against the trainers until I reached Lavender Town.

After walking around I got murderous thoughts from the music playing, and my mother was concerned when she found me clutching a kitchen knife, so I had to save my progress and quit.

    Day 120 Thursday , August 18, 2011 9:30,1,2,3 PM
I decided that I would enter my first of two Pokeathlons for the Day ! It was a Stamina Pokeathlon with Ampharos , Meganium , and Sudowoodo ! We were escorted to the Stage . After a little while, the Pokeathlon started! The first Event , the Ring Drop , was a good one for us! We got 75 Points , which got us First Place in that Event , and it was a Personal Best for me! The second Event , the Relay Run , also went good for us! We got 12.3 Laps , which got us First Place in that Event , but we didn't get my Personal Best ! The third Event , the Block Smash , was also a good Event for us! We got 86 Blocks Smashed , which got us First Place in that Event again, and it also was a Personal Record for me! After the three Events , we got 371 Points , which got us First Place ! It was also my Personal Best for the Stamina Pokeathlon ! We got three Stamina Medals , one for each of my Pokemon that participated in this Stamina Pokeathlon ! I gave each of them one! After a little, we left! The Clerks than gave us 371 Athlete Points , along with 100 Bonus Athlete Points for winning this Stamina Pokeathlon ! I thanked them! I then decided to enter my second and last Pokeathlon for the Day ! It was a Power Pokeathlon with Kingler , Murkrow , and Ariados ! We were escorted to the Stadium ! After a little while, the Pokeathlon started! After the three Events , we got 290 Points , which got us Third Place ! After a little while, we left! The Clerks than gave us 290 Athlete Points ! I thanked them! I then saved to the Clerks' left, in front of the PC , and to the left of the Records Board . 92:31

We enter the Dragon's Den, fight trainers, and skim through a whirlpool with a 1'4' crab. We then answer some questions from an old dude, Clair appears, and she apparently is frustrated that she's not as cool as us and gives us the badge! Via Escape Rope, we escape and Prof. Elm urgently calls us and tells us to come over to the lab. We do so and receive a Master Ball! He mentioned something about Kimono Girls, but who cares about that? I want to go become the Champion!

Unfortunately, our "friend" Lyra, stops us from doing so and reminds us meanly that we need to go see the Kimono Ladies and not continue. Why are you my friend again? And if we're more than friends shouldn't you trying to stop me from chatting with the Kimono Girls? Ah well. We Fly on Carolina to Ekruteak, and see Ranjit being kicked out of the Theater. He skoffs at us and runs away, significantly faster and more energy using than how we run. Seriously, it seems everyone runs faster than we do in these games. Anyhow, we enter, and all 5 Kimono Girls challenge us! Amazingly, they all own one high-leveled Eeveelution. I lead with Kindle and have Carolina second in line, and beforehand I teach Kindle Shadow Claw:

V.S Espeon: Two Shadow Claws from Kindle defeats it, but takes a heavy Psychic.
V.S Umbreon: Kindle Lava Plumes, but gets confused. I switch to S.MachoMan and Brick Break the dark fox.
V.S Flareon: Lol she's using Flareon A few Headbutts and Shadow Claws defeat it.
V.S Jolteon: Kindle faints to Thunderbolt, while Cannonbolt Earthquakes it even after a Double Team.
V.S Vaporeon: Carolina tries to Brave Bird it as much as possible, but each one only did 1/3 of damage and Carolina fell to a Surf and Aurora Beam. Nassie finished the job with an Energy Ball.

Thus, the Kimono Girl Gauntlet is done. Suddenly, a sixth, that's right, sixth Kimono Sister alerts the others that something's happening at the nearby tower. Gotta feel bad for the Mom and Dad who had to deal with six daughters... Anyway, we follow them, show some old men some old items, and we go through a large bell maze. Though somehow, the five Kimono Girls get to the top before I do. They do a supposedly super awesome and super beautiful dance, though in reality it's as simple as this:

*spin* step step *spin* step step *spin* step step *spin* rinse and repeat

And doing such a simple dance makes Ho-oh appear! I guess legendaries are attracted to spinning and stepping. Anyway, due to me having caught Ho-oh multiple times in Poke Balls and in a Premier Ball once, I did not catch it and instead defeated it with Escargo's new Ancientpower attack. The Kimono Girls didn't care, saying that it will come back later. How nice of it too. Most legendaries don't come back to their spot later. Though a few WANT you to catch them...

I battled the last trainers within the Celadon City Gym, then I headed to the Celadon City Pokemon Center to heal my injured Pokemon. I bought some Full Heals since I knew that Erika's Grass-type Pokemon liked to use status-afflicting moves, then I headed back to the Celadon City Gym to battle Erika. I cut my way through the various hedges and flowers until I reached Erika's place. I challenged her, and I had to face her Jumpluff first, but I beat it easily with Typhlosion's Fire Blast attack. I defeated Erika's Tangela using Typhlosion as well, then I swapped out to Noctowl with Erika used her Victreebel. As expected, I had trouble against it, but Noctowl eventually came through with Psychic. I used Ampharos's Signal Beam against Erika's Bellossom, then I got the Rainbow Badge and a TM from Erika. I healed at the Pokemon Center.

After doing a bit of shopping, it was time to go toward the Pokemon League! Due to HM reasons, I had to drop off Carolina for the trip at the PC. I also then traded S.MachoMan and then back so he could come back in his final form. I then got out the Red Gyarados and taught it Strength and Waterfall. With Lyra out of the way, we surfed east, and then a big guy came up to us looking amazed. He gasped and asked us if we knew what we just did? Jimmy replied saying he surfed off of a 1'4' ammonite. But no, we have instead taken our first step into Kanto! We checked the Pokegear Map and confirmed so.

We entered a cave that "divided the regions between Johto and Kanto". We had to Waterfall to get across. Along the way, there were already trainers there, but they didn't have Pokemon with Waterfall! How'd they get over here? (Cheaters) Anyhow, we stomp through mostly Ace Trainers, who have little to say. I like Cooltrainers better though. At least neither of them will attempt to whip me. My team stays in fairly decent shape the whole way, though Escargo usually ends up being picked on a lot due to his Grass weakness. Anyhow, in the Pokemon League Entrance there's a guy there that needs to check if you have all the badges. Why?! You'd need all the badges in order to use the HM for Waterfall in the first place! And apparently, we can't go west due to harsh Pokemon (despite it being great training) and we can't go east because "it is blocked". I doubt it is.

Inside Victory Road, there isn't much to say besides the TM for Earthquake, which I'll teach to Kindle later. However, right before the exit, a red headed guy approaches... That's right, Ranjit challenges us one more time...

    V.S.

Despite us being slightly outnumbered in strong party members, Ranjit is actually disatvantaged himself. He may say he is at his strongest, but as of this generation, ALL BUT HIS STARTER ARE NOT FULLY EVOLVED. Sure he doesn't have the National Dex and we're nowhere near Sinnoh, but still. Also he added a Kadabra on his team for some reason. Not sure why, doesn't fit him at all. Anyhow he starts with Sneasel, and S.MachoMan cuts it in half with Brick Break. Then it's against Kadabra, and Kindle Shadow Claws it, defeating it easily. Against Feraligatr, WOW! It didn't use Scary Face for once and actually Crunched Nassie! Ah well, it was defeated by one Energy Ball anyway.

Golbat was next, and Escargo had a bit of trouble with him due to Confuse Ray, however, Escargo pulled through with an Ice Beam and Surf. He could've just switched to his Magneton, who came out next. Cannonbolt easily destroyed it, and with Kindle against Haunter, you probably know the result of what would happen. Anyway Ranjit ran away, and at a significantly faster rate than how we do, and then we entered... the Pokemon League. LET THE TRAINING COMMENCE!

I left the Celadon City Gym, and I healed my Pokemon at the local Pokemon Center before heading south to Fuchsia City to battle Janine for the Soul Badge. I arrived at Cycling Road, and I headed south to Fuchsia. I battled tons of Biker-class trainers along the way there, and I managed to level up my Pokemon thanks to those battles. I kept going downhill until I arrived at the end of Cycling Road. I arrived in Fuchsia City, and I healed my Pokemon before exploring the town. I visited the Pal Park facility, the Poke Mart, the Warden's house, and then I entered the Fuchsia City Gym. I battled two Gym trainers, but I realized that I needed to train my Pokemon some more. I did some training, then I taught Psychic to the Mismagius that I was carrying around with me since that would come in handy against the Poison-type Pokemon.
