Official HG/SS Recent Happenings Thread - [READ THE FIRST POST]

While I was looking through my Pokedex on HeartGold a few days ago, I noticed that I hadn't caught Moltres yet for some reason. So, I decided to fix that. I flew to Mt. Silver, got some HM slaves out of the PC, then went into the cave. Luckily, I was able to remember which way to go and got to Moltres's room very quickly. I saved and then began to battle it. I thought I was going to be there for a while trying to catch it, but then I remembered that I'd Pal Parked a bunch of Master Balls over from Emerald.

After catching it, I transferred more Pokemon over from my GBA games and began training them. My Pokedex is now at over 350/493.

Since my last post, I beat Team Rocket at the underground place and the Radio Tower. Heracross levelled up well. Cleared Ice Path, and caught Big Z the Swinub. Trained Big Z and Mylo (See signature for Pokemon/names) and then challenged Clair. Ampharos destroyed Gyarados, AND then KOed Kingdra with 2 Discharges. Granbull beat one of the Dragonairs, and Heracross beat the 2nd one (not bad for a level 32 against a level 38). I went to the Dragons Den, passed my test, and used Julias Dig to get out. But I didn't get Clairs TM and I can't get the Dratini! Team in signature.

With a bit of luck (and a trade or two) I beat the E4 but I'm still staying there to train. Already trained Grendel (Haunter) up to 46 and currently training Hera (Lapras) to the same. 4 runs down, not sure how many to go. Updates later!

On my main SS file, I 'bought' some random pokemon on GTS for some of mine. I bred some of them for their babies like Wingull, Absol and Munchlax. Then I decided to do some shiny hunting and went to Celadon's casino and SRed a few times for a shiny mrmime. Got it on my 5th SR, feel so happy! Its my first SRed shiny evaaar. Now gonna head to E4 and train a few lv80-90 pokemon to 100

Reading all of you guys posting your adventures along side one another really made me want to restart Heart Gold but I didn't have the heart (lolpun) to delete my team...don't fear people because I went out and bought myself Soul Silver! I started up my journey as a boy named Zander and headed over to Elm to get my starter Totodile who was boxed once I found my real starter, a mighty Mareep named Gordon! (Play on Flash Gordon) we cleared the first gym no problem with thundershock and traversed Johto until we got to the Slowpoke well where I found my second team member a might Slowpoke named Barney! (himym reference because he'll evolve into slowBRO) with Barney and Gordon I beat the second gym, healed up and saved to where I am now, my next update will be more detailed but I just wanted to get to where I am at the moment. Keep up the great posts guys, I'm having a blast reading them and I hope at least one person reads mine

Last night I continued playing the Voltorb Flip and I ended up getting 10000 coins which I used to get Ice Beam which was then taught to Pwny. I went south of Goldenrod next and fought the three girls that hide in that little alcove. After the battles I realized that StunksALot was close to evolving so I trained it the grass and BAM! StunksALot evolved into Skuntank! Next I went to the Union Cave and battled the trainers on the lower floors. These were some of Pwny's first battles where I didn't have an Exp Share on it. When I beat everyone I used StunksALot's Dig to escape from the cave.

Just a quick update, I beat the Kimono Girls (with Swinub getting loads of experience) and got my Dratini (with Extremespeed) which I named Puff. I saved afterwards, as I'm planning to train in Union Cave to evolve Swinub and train my new members.

We then headed to the Lake of Rage. I taught Surf to my Krabby and continued, with Nidorino in my first slot. Nidorino is even weaker than I thought... Why does HG have such weak Pokemon And wait for it, a Dugtrio defeated my Nidorino. A Dugtrio. Level 17 against 24. Yes.

Anyways I battled all the trainers there and it was a decent training I guess.
I'll update this post later when I get to Olivine or Cianwood

Edit: After I finished the trainers in the Lake of Rage, I trained all my Pokemon to level 27 (Pidgeotto was already at that level). I then went for the evolution of Krabby. I started training him until he got to level 28, and evolved into the mighty Kingler! Finally the Pokemon I've been looking for the whole time! I then put Pineco in the day care for a while because it was getting hard to train it. I then started training Pidgeotto to level 28 to match Kingler. Oh I also put Nidorino in the day care just so it trains faster. So after getting Pidgeotto to level 28, and Sandslash too, I just biked around waiting for my DAay care pokemon to be stronger, then I took them and went to Olivine City.

Hey guys, after beating Bugsy I decided that I'd like to train Barney the Slowpoke a little more so back into the cave we went and after a good while of grinding he's now level 18, Gordon the Flaffy is still a bit ahead of him though at level 22, we went off to fight Rival Gary (named after my best friend who's also playing, not the anime character) after that we headed into Ilex Forrest where I helped some poor guy get his Farfetch'd back and for my efforts some random guy in a karate suit gave me the HM Cut....hey, I'm not gonna argue with the crazy guy, he's giving me gifts. I traversed my way through until I came across an even stranger fellow headbutting tree's, once again though this guy is giving me a present so hey ho he's alright in my book. I taught headbutt to both Flaffy and Slowpoke, after that I turned back and went to Azelea Town where after a few minutes of headbutting tree's I found myself my newest team member, Elvis the Aipom! (Nicknamed after one of the monkeys on Jungle Run, an old show I loved) Stopped here and saved to go get my dinner

I've cleared out Union Cave, and my team didn't even grow a level (bar Puff the Dratini, who grew to level 18). So now I'm going to put Dratini in Daycare for a bit, evolve Swinub, and then train Dratini.

I just got a Pelipper for a Milotic off GTS. Its level 15, and my Surf/Fly mule. Now Im just catching random pokemon on the route before Safari Zone. Caught like 12 Tauroses? Taurosi. Taurossss. Finding an adamant one.

i made it to vermillion city. I only trained my team to level 50. I went to the power plant then went to get the piece that was needed from the cerulean gym. Now im on my way to lavender town.

I healed my Pokemon at the Saffron City Pokemon Center after my Gym battle against Sabrina, and then I set off to Celadon City since I wanted to win the Rainbow Badge next. I arrived after traveling through the short route that connected Saffron City and Celadon City, then I wandered around a bit. I visited the Celadon Department Store, and I shopped for important items there. I then visited the Celadon Mansion and I talked to the people inside the building. After playing the Voltorb Flip game at the Celadon City Game Corner, I headed for the Pokemon Center to swap Pokemon on the PC for the Celadon City Gym battle. I arrived at the Celadon City Gym, and I battled against some of the Gym trainers while I also tried to figure out the right path to Erika. I healed my Pokemon in between battles, and then I saved the game before returning to the Gym.

Eek. Breeded more Meowths but still no shiny :/ *sigh*

So I continued with my Slayers team 2. Still no luck finding the perfect Nature.

Then I hafta pay them daycares for hell-a money :/ nya~

Cleared Erika's gym, return to route 7 and caught Houndour, Persian and a shiny Murkrow, it had bold nature, went to cerulean city, cleared route 24 and 25.

After finally EV training my Shelgon, I boarded the S.S. Aqua and proceeded to kick the crap out of the trainers there. Hoping my new team for Kanto works out.

Reading all these little happenings made me restart my SoulSilver game.

Anyways, I chose Chikorita as my starter and named her Arabel. I caught a Spearow early on and named him Puck. I also caught a Weedle and named him TweedleDum. The Weedle evolved into a Kakuna eventually, though it was taking forever, and he got boxed quickly. I didn't really catch him for any particular reason, I just wanted to evolved one of the bugs. I also caught a Mareep because A) it comes in handy against Faulkner once it learns Thundershock at level 10, and B) in my last play through I had one that became a Flaafy and it was honestly one of my best Pokemon. So now I am headed for Sprout Tower and i'm thinking of catching a Ghastly while there.

I finally crossed the water near Olivine to go to Cianwood City. When I got there I found Suicune chilling near the water and as I got near it Suicune ran away. Eusine showed up and battled me to prove his worth but it was all for naught because my newly evolved Skuntank swept his team. Once he was defeated I went to the gym. I had Kenya and Pwny do all the work here and when it came time to challenge Chuck I put Kenya in the front of my party and began the battle. Kenya ended up spamming Aerial Ace until both of his Pokemon fainted. Not a bad fight this time around. When I left the gym Chuck's wife gave me Fly which I taught to Kenya. I flew back to Olivine City and ran to the Lighthouse so I could give Amphy the medicine I picked up from Cianwood. Once Amphy was healed Jasmine returned to the gym.

When I left the Lighthouse Baoba called me and told me about the Safari Zone reopening so I went there instead of the gym. While on the road there Pwny finally evolved into Seadra. I trained my team to Lv35 in the grass by the Safari Zone and then I flew to Olivine City to take on Jasmine. StunksALot started the battle against her Magnemite with Dig and proceeded to defeat not only the first Magnemite but the second Magnemite as well. Pwny came out against her Steelix and knocked it out with Surf. I saved after the quick victory.

I have fighten my through the Gym Leaders of Kanto, only missing Blaine and Blue. My team is growing quite strong too. I am thibnking of gettnig a new moveset for Victreebel, as it quite frankly sucks...

Im doing a RE shiny hunt outside of Mt. Motar. Really want a shiny usaring. Um, training my lv 80-90s, killing every encounter. Got my Infernape from 86 to 97, lost count on REs though. Will train my lv92 Mewtwo and lv94 Froslass next. Will take awhile to get these pokes to 100.
