I have so many favorite characters from the anime. I'll try to give a reason for them all. These are in no particular order.

1. Tracey - I love that he's a artist and his personality is great.
2. Cilan - At first, I didn't like him. But after watching the episodes with him in them, I realized he's pretty cool. I really like his Pokemon as well.
3. Misty - I love Misty's personality. She's really cool and I can relate to her in some ways.
4. Gary - Gary is just awesome. I loved his cocky personality in the beginning.
5. Brock - Brock is just a really nice guy. He's super funny as well.
6. James - James is definitely the best Team Rocket member. He's very amusing and cool.

Bianca: Always hyper-active and running into Ash causing him to fall into a fountain.
May: Almost identical to me, she has a cute personality and always puts on stunning performances at her Pokemon Contests. Pokemon would be very different without her.

Ash (Pre-Unova) - He's a great trainer and character (at least when he's not ruined by bad writing). He's really caring towards his Pokemon and friends. On another note, I prefer his AG and OS outfits over DP, and that one over Unova BY MILES, the first three really made him look more mature, and also badass.
May - Had a lot of development, started off as a girl who disliked Pokemon, then once she grew past that phase, she grew even more. Too bad she lost to Dawn in her cameo, but on the flip side, she had a better one.
Professor Oak - He's pretty funny, and I like his interaction with Muk (if you can call it that), he's kind of a douche, though xD I can't believe they're just phasing him out (along with the other old characters).
Brock - He was amusing with his flirting, and was very loyal to his friends, he was helpful (though in DP he was kind of a tool). We needed mroe Sinnoh episodes like Johto's Sick Daze.
Drew - I'm not a contestshipper, but I feel that he brings out the best in May (in terms of contests), alongside Ash. He's a great coordinator, much better than Kenny.

Favourite character? Definitely Drew.
He's a great coordinator, and I really love his personality.

I'll not explain my reasons for liking them, but my favorite characters are Jun, Kouhei, Shinji, Kenyan, Homika & Iris.

Gary - Very powerful looking and awesome aswell. Had a bunch of good pokemons!
Brock - Helpful and funny.
Lance/Steven/Cynthia - Best 3 Champions , i wish we could see the first 2 more.
Ash - Awesome trainer , although he hasnt won a big prize yet... i know he killed that dragonite but still

Ash- Slightly smarter than the rest of the series, boring character though no humor at all just train train oh look paul beat me train train train.
Brock- A cardboard cutout that occasionally turns into an encyclopedia.

Anyone would have won if they were choice 3.

Dawn. :3 She used to be my favorite character in the series Till Iris and Georgia came along and then she got pushed aside as my favorite rather quickly :P

Ash was and always will be my favorite character, he was at his top in the D/P series even if some people thought he was not funny but he had some pretty awesome moments. Dawn of course my second favorite character in this, loved her personality and her friendship with Ash was adorable.

Poor old Brock, he was ok at times I miss the guy nowXD
