Well, the quote seems to imply that they're one in the same since it list all of his accomplishments from the previous series, so I'd assume so.
So now that the crossover rumor is pretty much confirmed, I can't wait to see what other protagonists (and possibly antagonists) this will bring to the table.

Yeah. Starmon didn't Digivolve until after they formed it so he wasn't included into it. (I guess once ShootingStarmon combines with them, it'll be Shoutmon EX7.)

If OmegaShoutmon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon, Starmons, and ZekeGreymon create Shoutmon X6...
But, OmegaShoutmon, AtlurBallistamon, JagerDorulumon, RaptorSparromon, and ZekeGreymon create Shoutmon EX6...
Then what would happen if they tried the first combination but with Sparrowmon replacing the Starmons?

Alright, thanks. I though that could be the case but I didn't think they would actually do it, since that would mean some sort of connection to Season One and that didn't seem likely. Will be interesting to see how they make it work.

Whoa! Holy mack! First Taichi Kamiya arriving to Xros Wars Hunter, now manga presented us Shoutmon X6? Well. As much as I'm excited to see 1 of my favorite protagonists, wonder how small or how big his role will be in this series? I hope they don't leave us hanging with my other favorite protagonists. Will this diminish Tagiru's role though? I started warming up to him. How are they going to handle this breakthrough without the possibility of... uh, collateral damage (I don't know what other sort of metaphors to use appropriately)?

It's not really that odd to have two characters voiced by the same person talking to each other...
It's somewhat humorous, though.

Okay. When that time comes, if it happens, I'll be sure to pay attention to it. I haven't watched enough anime shows to have me think of situations like this where 2 or more characters voiced by the same voice actor speak with one another or exclaim something at the same time, so this is new to me.
