The Rock will hold the belt for as long as it takes for the filming of his next movie to start. Which i'm sure is no longer than 3 months.

I'm disappointed with the Rumble. I actually wanted Ryback to win to make up for WWE ruining his characters momentum. I don't know why I thought Ryback had a chance when I knew Cena would win. It makes even more sense to see Rock beat Punk. Ugh, both these men main evented last years Mania. As a CM Punk fan I admit I am a little pissed that he's going to play second again to a vanilla face who everyone boos each and every night, and to a movie star who only wrestles from Rumble to Mania. I really wish WWE had upcoming stars to beat Punk at Rumble and end his streak instead of the Rock, who didn't need this spot. But whatever. I think I'm more pissed at the fact that I have to watch more Rock and Cena promos for another Wrestlemania. At least I'll finally get to see a PG era superstar beat Rock, even if it has to be Cena DX

Still I'm upset about Ryback. I really wanted him to win and finally win a belt to show he's a true main event guy. I don't even like Ryback that much, but anything over Cena.

some combination of these will happen. like everyone said, everything was too predictable. i am also not looking forward to the rock/cena promos. if they really wanted to pit the best guy of the attitude era with the best guy today, they would do austin vs. punk. the rock is immune to PG-era wrestlers; he has to win or the attitude era fans would get pissy, typical, typical. i just can't believe punk isn't champion anymore. because he was champion for 434 days, it just became a truth, like every day the sun comes up. every day Obama is my president. every day cm punk is the wwe champion. it's gonna feel really weird tonight

Punk vs. Austin wouldn't really work.

Rock vs. Cena worked out as well as it did because Cena is undisputedly the best full-time guy today (Punk isn't. He's, at best, the #2 guy on the full time roster - and drops to #6 at best when you factor in Undertaker, Rock, HHH, and Lesnar), and instead of slipping away in obscurity, the Rock's mainstream status only rose during his time away from wrestling, and unlike Austin isn't pushing 50-years old and wasn't dealing with severe neck injuries at the time of his retirement.

I know some fans want it, but I don't ever see WWE making a serious attempt at Punk vs. Austin. And if they do, it probably wouldn't be the financial success or the special event that Rock vs. Cena was.

As far as CM Punk's title reign... I'm just happy Rock has the title again. Now if he can just hold it past Elimination Chamber, then it'll already be a better title run than his 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, or 7th reigns.

All I have to say about last night's Royal Rumble match is that it was lackluster. It had some great moments (mainly during the rumble match), but it wasn't so much memorable to be considered "Great".

Del Rio v. Show- Honestly, I didn't like the idea of it being a last man standing again. However, both men delivered on this match. Good overall spots, the pre-match conversation with Bret Hart did put over Del Rio a bit (although Ricardo's inner fanboy was awesome), and the Chokeslam off the set into a table was just plain great. I didn't like the re-use of duct tape, but it made more sense than Cena using it on Batista. Plus, Ricardo putting like 20 rounds of a single roll of tape was hilarious.

Hell No v. Rhodes Scholars- Sadly, this match was the worst on the card in my opinion. It was generic that the two teams have had, and while team Hell No are extremely over, I would rather see the Rhodes Scholars have a run with the title and this event would have been the PPV to do it at. From here there aren't any heel tag teams that Hell No can really feud with. WWE need to find something to keep the division up.

Rock v. Punk- Honestly I didn't care who won this match although I was hoping Punk. With Rock winning, it adds a new element to Punk being screwed. We don't know if Punk is behind the shield, in all honesty it could add another layer down the line. As long as something like this gets an ending to the program. Punk winning would have made for the longest reign of the modern era to continue. But, where does it go from there? Rock winning means Punk has to change it up. We all have to admit that Punk has become stagnant, so this is something to freshen the E' up. It all comes down to how the Road To Mania is handled from here. Also, SPANISH ANNOUNCE TABLE REVENGE.

Royal Rumble- This was probably the best Rumble since the 2008 or 2007 rumbles. Last year was so bad, that anything could have made the follow up better. But Ziggler having to take #1 or #2 and the surprise return of Jericho made it all make sense. Both men would go on to have iron man performances evading elimination after elimination. Kofi has the record for amazing saves in the rumble match although morrison's spider climb is hard to beat. Several superstar spots were a waste of space (looking at you Godfather, Khali, Santino). Goldust's return was pretty awesome. I wish they would capitalize on last night and make a Rhodes/Goldy feud for Mania season. Especially after the heat Rhodes got for eliminating his brother. Sheamus, Orton, Ziggler, Cena, Ryback were locks for around the final group of people. Honestly, I was thinking Sheamus would win it again or they would make Ryback that big megastar by eliminating Cena/Sheamus. There was a time I actually thought Ziggler/Orton could win it but they dashed my hopes as I watched the match unfold. But, Cena taking it makes sense in a way and does put focus on the rumble winner. Do I like it no, but it makes sense depending on the long term booking for Mania.

Special Note: JBL's commentary. Dr. Shelby doing therapy for Goldust/Booker T back in the day. That alone made me think of what could have been if they were to do something like that now.

I'm glad I didn't even take the effort to stream the Rumble for free. Even free was paying too much. I mean, Cena. Really? I know the Cena hate kinda died down but come the **** on.

I'm actually a fan of john cena. that's right people, I LIKE HIM. but i honestly think punk is better, on the mic and in the ring. obviously, cena is more marketable because he's PG while punk says what he wants, to say the least.

and i forgot about austin's injuries. unlike other fans, I'm realistic, so i guess we'll never see austin vs. punk, which I'm okay with because it's nobody's fault. and i didn't know he was pushing 50. sorry, didn't watch the attitude era.

by the way, thanks for expressing your feelings on rock being the champion. i was the confused the other million times you brought it up in the past 24 hours, lol

i pretty much agree with this. at first, i was disappointed with cena winning. but after the promo, when he said he'll be facing either punk or the rock, depending on the outcome of elimination chamber, and that these are 2 people he has never been able to beat, i actually started getting excited about wrestlemania. what's more, this could've been a subtle hint for the triple threat match we all want, by we, i mean me. i may be inactive from sppf for a while because I'm contracting wrestlemania fever

Wow, it really hits home how much of a cartoon character Ryback is when Lesnar's comes in.

The thing is, no one anywhere wants to see Cena beat the Rock or Punk.

Hell, the Undertaker should just come to Raw and win the belt and retire at mania.

Trish Stratus got named to WWE's Hall of Fame this year...... might be too soon, but I like it all the same.

I'm really happy that Trish is going in the hall of fame. Trish was always awesome and a very cool diva. I miss divas like her. It was also awesome to see Chris Jericho back. Yes Y2J is back and so is Brock Lesnar! I love this time of year for wrestling. Overall RAW was....average. Not to bad, but not to good. I think they are handling CM Punk a little better now that he's not the champ anymore. Honestly they needed to do something with Punk since he dropped his edgy voice of the voiceless gimmick for the whiny 2012 coward heel. Looking back at how over he was in 2011 and the starting half of 2012 shows how the character has really dropped. I'm still sour about the rumble. John Cena is the winner again. While I dislike the choice I will give WWE credit at least it seems they are going to go a different angle for Cena vs Rock II. Last time Cena was full of confidence, this time not so much, so at least they are playing Cena as the underdog and it will be all the more sweeter when Cena beats Rock, I can't wait for that. I'm going to rub it in every Attitude Era fanboys face, and I don't even like Cena that much. I'm counting down the days to when Cena gives the AA to the Attitude Era fanboys. I hope they don't throw Punk in there because if it's a triple threat then Cena will just pin Punk. Cena can beat Punk at any PPV, but the Rock only wrestles on the road to mania. DON'T SCREW THIS UP WWE!!!

It feels like Wrestlemania 29 will be rematch mania. I can already see Cena vs Rock II, Triple H vs Brock Lesnar II (Considering Lesnar took out his father-in-law) maybe they'll have Jericho vs either Ziggler or CM Punk again. Probably Ziggler. I can see CM Punk entering a feud with Undertaker, but I would have much rather have seen Lesnar vs Taker at mania. They were great rivals in 2002 and 2003. So there we have it. I still think the Shield is pointless even after they took out Cena, Sheamus, and Ryback. Please end the Shield and just have them do singles group.

Also make Da Funkasaurus and Tensai a odd tag team like Kane and Daniel Bryan. What a weird segment they all could have.

Rock losing to Cena would be the worst thing ever. Not only would the Rock lose, Cena would be the Champion(again) assuming Rock the Chamber. And nobody wants that.

Speak for yourself. While I don't want Cena to have a long title reign, I do want him to beat Rock at mania. Not because I love Cena and hate the Rock, but I am sick of internet Attitude Era fanboys everywhere trashing the product. I agree that WWE isn't as good as it use to be, but whiny about it isn't helping much. They never give the current WWE stars any credit. For all his flaws, John Cena has done some good work over the years. He was good in his feuds with Punk, Batista, Nexus, and Edge. Was he the best? No, but he isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be. I cannot wait to see Cena beat Rock. It's not even about beating the Rock, it's about beating the Attitude Era. Keep that belt warm for Cena, Rock, come Wrestlemania he's coming for it. I don't care how loudly the crowd boos him, I will be cheering. Then he can drop it to Wade Barret...hopefully.

^What? You like someone who can't wrestle? You like someone who can't cut a promo? True he can draw a dime, but that's only because he was forced down the throats. He's now naught but a Hoak Hogan expy, that and the fact that we've gone through a David Arquette style regression (Why would you give the belt to a film star?) So I decided to jump the ship before it sank and it will sink, not until Cena changes, not until we get wrestlers winning belts. (I mean The Shield should really do something by now.) But no I realised this was in a state of decadence, I knew, for I am smart and if you're still watching it, if you're still watching that drivel, if you're not going to do the bright thing and take a sabbatical, like me, take a sabbatical from watching it, then you're a fool, you're naught but a fool masquerading as a human being and that's the matter of the fact bub, trust me, I'm a genius.

Cena's only good feud out of all of those was with Punk. Cena destroying Nexus(of the best factions in ages) wasn't good. Neither Cena or Batista had any good matches with each other because neither can wrestle. His fued with edge was meh. And even if Cena does beat the Rock, that doesn't mean he's beating the attitude era fans. That will just make them complain more. Most fans from what I see didn't even want the Rock to be champ because hes barely there. I'd rather have Orton, Ryback or the Great ****ing Khali beat Rock before Cena though.

But no, Cena one way for another is clearly gonna become champ and preach about overcoming the odds and thanking the Cenation that buys his merch,
