Final fight. Not much else yo.
~~~
The pressure was intense…the energy being loosed from Noza’s sword was amazing. His sword glowed bright blue for a moment, before suddenly turning crimson and shattering.
Small orbs of energy, the same crimson red, hung in the air for a moment, before shooting back to its origin. It seemed for a moment the orbs formed a sword like silhouette similar to its original form. However, the blade began to twist and grow, forming into something completely different.
When the crimson glow subsided, what was left was a large blade, seemingly segmented, with spikes coming off of it.
“That’s…”
“Yes…” He held it in his hand. “It’s the sword of a once powerful shinigami, Renji Abarai.”
“That’s impossible…”
“Not quite…” He smiled and swung the sword over his head…the blade swung in a circle above his head, and then dragged across the ground, tilling and excavating the soil. He sent the blade towards Golde, who deflected it easily…until it was immediately pulled the blade back and Golde’s shoulder was cut.
“My zanpakutou allows me to take the abilities of whoever I slay in battle.” He swung it around his head again, forming a sort of halo…”And with Takai’s ability to reanimate corpses, I’ve been able to collect quite an amazing array of zanpakutou abilities…before he became useless to my little cult, that is. Let me show you…”
The blade dispersed, and his original blade was left…Golde noticed the hilt, which seemed to consist of a circular checkered pattern. Noza reached down and touched one of the square pieces, which glowed crimson.
His blade transformed again, but almost immediately shattered. The pieces seemed to have a life of their own, and shot toward Golde.
“Senbonzakura…”
Noza smiled, as the pieces started to cover Golde…”It seems you know your
swords…”
Just as Golde’s image was completely obstructed by the pink mist…
“Zachiru…”
The mist was blown away from the massive release of energy. Golde stood with his shikai, his long, 7 foot, gold spear.
As the mist reformed and attacked again, Golde dashed, easily able to avoid the mist, and lunged at Noza.
“You changed your name…” He said, as he smiled…The mist was used to deflect the spear…however, the blade still lodged itself in Noza’s leg.
“Tch…” he closed one eye. “Of course. I named myself after my blade. Me and my sword must be in unison as we attack…so, it was only fitting. I gave up my old identity long ago.”
The mist reformed into another sword, sort of L shaped. Noza struck the spear with it, still lodged into his leg, and Golde pulled back quickly.
“Kira’s sword, I believe.” He hefted his spear. “My spear is quite a bit heavier. That sword double’s the weight of anything it strikes, correct?”
“Yes.” He smiled. His leg was obviously bleeding quite a bit. He swung his sword, and it changed again. “Are you holding back, giving me a handicap?” Suddenly, he stopped swinging his sword in a circle, and swung it in front of him. A giant dragon of ice roared and flew at Golde. Unfazed, he lunged, sticking it in the face and causing it to explode as lightning was pumped into it.
“Watch your back…”
A giant metal, spiked ball was rammed into Golde’s back. He grunted softly in pain, before collapsing to his knees. He turned on one knee and swung with his spear. Noza appeared on his other side…
As Noza went to cut Golde, he lunged towards him with the spear again, faster this time. Golde knew what would happen next, he turned on one knee and reached out as Noza flashed stepped behind his shoulder.
Before Noza had any idea what was happening, Golde shot electricity through his palm, into Noza’s chest. Noza lurched violently in pain and surprise as massive amounts of lightning surged through his body. He staggered backwards and collapsed to his knees as Golde stood and walked towards him.
“Come now, Noza.” He smiled, mocking him now. “Don’t tell me this is all you had in you…”
Noza, angered, looked up and sent a massive wave of fire at Golde…He turned, but couldn’t dodge it completely; the fabric on his arm and shoulder was burned. He jumped backwards, above the sea, and ripped the singed fabric from his arm.
Noza appeared before him, and tried the same tactic. Golde brought his spear up, which collided with the sword. A quick bolt of electricity made Noza flinch, and the fire stopped.
Golde was now positive exactly how to beat him.
Noza transformed his sword again, as they stood in midair. It was Zabimaru again. As he swung it, Golde made no attempt to dodge. He held his sword in front of him and shot a bolt of lightning through it.
Noza’s body lurched, and his sword altered itself, causing the extended Zabimaru to become deformed and mutated…
“What…what did you do?” Noza said, as his sword refused to reform correctly.
“You said it yourself, your sword and you must be in unison. So, when your body is affected that much, that fast…” Golde swung his sword and struck the deformed Zabimaru once again, and the lightning caused Noza to lurch forward awkwardly. “How can it stay in any one form…?”
“You…you mean…?”
“You were trying to fight the person who has the perfect technique to beat you..”
Golde shot another bolt of lightning from the tip of his spear through Noza’s chest. Noza’s body shuddered, and his sword slipped from his hand. As Noza’s body seized, he could only watch as his sword fell into the ocean with a splash.
Noza stood, defenseless, before the Head Captain.
“I can’t just forget what you’ve done here, Noza.” Golde said, as he spun his spear with one hand. “I’m sorry for your misconceptions and for your hardships…but you’ve done too much to this place for me…or for anyone else to ever forgive you. And I sure as hell don’t want to.”
Golde spun his spear upwards, and in one swift motion, made a long, horizontal slash, sending Noza’s head skyward.
Noza looked down as his body plummeted into the sea. The few seconds of life he had left ended with a last glance at Golde, as his head landed upon the spear.
Golde walked over to the cliff once more.
“It’s over.”
Golde sat upon a rock, shoving his spear into the ground…he needed to rest…and think.
~~~
It was sunset when Golde stepped through the woods, holding the head of Noza. When he was sighted, the roar of applause signaled to all that the fight was over.
Dosu walked over, with Mizuhashi following him.
“I called it.” He laughed. “Ask this kid, I totally called it.”
“He did.”
Golde smiled, and tossed him the head. “Do something with this, I’m tired of holding it.”
Dosu’s surprise was evident, but he caught the head with a grimace. “Where are you off to?” He asked, as Golde walked off.
Golde turned back to him. “This…this could only be the beginning…”

The Soul Society had been restored as best it could, in such a short amount of time. Those who died had their wished followed.
Sixth Squad Captain Alexa Sasaki’s body was buried amongst her family members. The Thirteenth Squad Captain’s body was cremated, his ashes scattered across a lake he and Golde frequented in their younger days.
So, the only thing left was to wrap it up.
Golde stood before the remaining Captains. “Thank you all for coming. Obviously, this last…chapter…well, it’s one I’d like to close, and mark as a rebel attack…however, before his death, Noza mentioned something that may mean that this is more than just revenge. He mentioned that…that his “allies” didn’t originally have Soul Reapers powers…I’m hoping we can obtain some information from the remaining two detainees…however, there are no promises. We must be ever vigilant and prepared…” Golde sighed. “But for now, I must congratulate every one of you…and I must thank you as well.” He turned. “Now…if you’ll excuse me…I need…I need to think.”
Golde exited.
~~~
The man stood over Golde’s desk. In his hand, he held a folded piece of paper…
He fumbled around, shoving things off of his desk, to make room…he picked up an ornamental figurine, and placed the scrap of paper under it. With that, he left.
When he landed, he removed his mask.
“All good?”
Bars turned, and saw Medusa sitting, leaning against a wall. He smiled. “Absolutely.”
She smiled, and struggled a bit to get up…Bars ran to help her.
“I’m fine, Bars…just a bit dizzy.” She smiled. “I owe that white haired kid big time.”
He grabbed her waist as she threw an arm over his shoulder, steadying herself. He looked up. “We may have just repaid our debt…or started at least.”
“Started, for sure…” They turned, and there was Iki. He walked over. “We’ve done a lot to this place after all.”
Beind him, a small girl ran out, and hugged Medusa…”Tama…” she smiled, and rubbed her hair playfully…
Bars looked at the scene…the four survivors reunited…”We…we should probably go.”
Iki turned. “I agree.” He held his sword, and created a vortex. He stepped through, and Tamarensa followed.
Bars helped Medusa towards it…they both turned, and gave one last glance towards the misty Soul Society…they smiled at each other, and stepped through.
And that wraps up Season 1.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I swear I've been working on Seasons 2 and 3 mentally much longer that 1.
Thank you all
