Not sure if he told you, but I told Zameric (who messages me on Facebook a lot) that I'd be back in February. ^_^

So yeah, I'll do my best to be active again, now that I have my college applications out.

I've probably missed a whole lot, huh... Well, I hope you guys didn't miss me too much! LOL

Yeah, I've been keeping up with the manga, but I'm still as far behind on the anime as ever... Juggling tasks is a bit of a drag... I have time (5 minutes or so per chapter) to read my weekly dose of Bleach, Bakuman, and Naruto, but I don't have nearly enough time to watch half hour episodes of anime... Well, I'll catch up eventually. LOL

That's not a crime. I hate Biology, even if I'm decent at it. It's the only science I've ever taken that I've gotten a B in. Hell, the only thing other than higher level mathematics I've never gotten an A in either :/

Season 2

Several weeks had passed since the “Shinigami Slayers” had been put to rest. Against the wishes of most, the escaped Iki and Tamarensa, who were assumed to have met up with Medusa and Bars, were treated with almost apathy by the head Captain, who stated that an official search would not be enacted, and that they would be captured only if encountered. This enraged many.

As for the note…well, the Head Captain read it, and relayed the information to the other Captains. What was on that scrap? Well, there’s a time and place for everything. This isn’t it.

What it is time for is another chapter in this story. A new beginning if you will.

It was a great day in the Soul Society. The entire sky had a dark overcast, and it looked like it was going to pour at any moment. There was an eerie chill laying over the entire Seretei. Anyone who would have normally been outdoors, doing their daily activities, decided this day was too foreboding to actually get anything done, and as a result, the streets were completely abandoned. Except, of course, for one person.

Golde was walking down the street, a smile on his face. He had been a tad bit depressed lately, but this weather was certainly cheering him up. And today was a big day, after all. Lots to do, lots to see.

Today was once again graduation day.

He had shown up a few hours early, half because the only thing that awaited him in his office was paperwork, and half because it would be funny catching the entire school off guard. He opened up the double doors and stepped through.

It was about half a second before everyone noticed him and…well, they didn’t exactly handle the sight rationally.

Most people stood in awe, some kept screaming his name over and over, and some just ran away. He rolled his eyes and sighed…every time a Captain appeared, it was like they were a celebrit. He laughed softly and strolled aimlessly down the halls for a while, chuckling at the startled faces at every turn.

“C-captain!”

He turned, to see his faithful helper Ikioi turning the corner. She ran up to him. “What are you doing here so early, Sotaicho-sama?”

He looked down and shrugged. “I dunno.” He glanced around. “Looking around I guess…you know you’re way around, you should help me out here…”

Ikioi looked confused for a moment, as if wondering if this was acceptable…”Y-yes…” She hurried along ahead of him, wondering why she was playing tour guide when she should be preparing.

“This is the science hallway…” she pointed. “This is where the students perform experiments and whatnot…”

“Oh, really?” Golde smiled and opened a door at random.

“Watch it Ryuu…”

Ryuu Schiffer hunched over a desk containing beakers of various chemicals…his hands moved rapidly, searching for what he was looking for. He was performing a simple enough experiment, but he always scared his labmates…
He finally found the beaker he was looking for and stood up straight, reading the label under the light. “If you’re that scared, and don’t want to die, then leave the room.”

Someone did.

He bent down again, rubbing his eye a bit…he always looked as if he hadn’t slept for days…and usually it was true. These idiots didn’t know anything about science…one of them would probably lose like, three fingers in an experiment gone bad…maybe four.

“Holy **** it’s the Sotaicho.”

Ryuu’s whole body shifted, as he straightened his body, knocking over various chemicals and dropping the beaker in the process.

He glanced up nervously. “So-Sotaicho-sama!” He bent down rapidly, and slammed his head into a ring attached to a ring stand. He staggered backwards as the ring stand fell over and smashed more beakers.

“Shi-“

The chemicals that mixed shouldn’t have been, and the resulting explosion poured out into the hallway, knocking over the remaining labmates and the Sotaicho himself.

When Ryuu recovered, he saw the Sotaicho righting himself, laughing, and continuing down the hall. The last thing he heard was “God, I love science!”

“This is the training grounds…”

Golde looked around and saw several students training with each other, clashing bokuto. Those that weren’t sparring were training earnestly. “Does my heart good!” He laughed. “Looks like we may have a future after all.”
He saw a small group of students huddled around a smaller girl. She was striking a dummy with determination. For a minute, she didn’t notice them, and continued with her training. Then a larger male leaned up against the dummy.

“Hello there, pretty lady” He smiled at her, then to his friends. “Want some help with that sword?”

She giggled and smiled. “No, I’m Ok! Thanks though!” She lifted her bokuto again, but the man grabbed it.

“Oh, come on now.” He smiled. “Pretty ladies like you don’t need to be on the battlefield...” He smiled at her. “What’s your name?”

Unfazed, she glanced back. “Tetsuko. Tetsuko Yuukari.” She held a finger up and gave a sort of ‘come here’ motion with it. He moved closer, as did she. When their faces were just inches apart, she whispered quietly, “And I’m a guy.”

The larger man and his friends were gone just a second later, leaving an amused little man to continue with his training, laughing quietly.

Golde, on the other hand, was laughing his *** off, so glad he came early today.

“Hello.”

Golde opened his eyes, and found the source of the voice…it was a student, just a few inches shorter than Golde himself…he had long brown hair, and seemed older, with a goatee and moustache. His hand was extended in front of him, and Golde took it, hesitantly, shaking it.

“I’m Zameric Kajiya.” He smiled and shook. “It’s nice to meet you Sotaicho-sama.”

Golde stared at the kid for a good minute. Zameric glanced back, confused. Eventually Ikioi also stared at Golde, who seemed transfixed.

“I don’t like you.” Golde released the kids hand and walked back inside.
Ikioi and Zameric stood, bemused, watching him leave. Zameric eventually turned to the assistant. “What…the hell?” were the only words he could muster.

“Um…” Ikioi didn’t have a straight answer for him on this one. “Golde tends to have…very sudden, obvious first impressions of people. And sometimes, they make no sense.” She turned. “He had much the same opinion of me at first, too. It’s very unusual.” She hurried after the Captain. “Don’t worry!” she called back. “His opinion will change…maybe.”

Zameric stood, confused, before walking away, trying desperately to rationalize what just happened.

“Perhaps, Golde-sama, insulting students isn’t the best option?”

Golde grumbled something under his breath. He pulled out a bag of spicy, chewy candy and started to devour the contents. ”How long?”

“Soon”. She was referring to when the other guests would arrive. “We’ve been walking around for quite some time. Shouldn’t we make way to the stage?”

Golde grumbled some more and followed her. They entered into a large, familiar vacant field. There was a formal stage in the center back, and people were already gathering.

“Sotaicho-sama!”

Golde turned and saw Kiyoko Okami running towards him, a smile on her face. And why not? After all, she had recently achieved something previously unheard of. She was given lieutenant ranking after only one year out of the Academy.

“Ah, there you are.” He smiled at her.

“You wanted to see me?” She stared at him, obviously very anxious and excited at the same time.

“Yes, but first…” He looked around, and saw a man with white hair walking toward him. “Ah, there he is.”

Mizuhashi approached Golde and Kiyoko, a smile on his face as well. He adjusted the band on his arm, certifying his fourth squad lieutenants rank. He too had achieved the unheard of…well before Kiyoko, that is…and achieved the lieutenant rank after only one year.

“Hello, Sotaicho-sama. Dosu couldn’t come. He said he had pressing issues to deal with, then passed out.”

Golde shrugged. “Well, what are ya gonna do.” He walked toward the stage. “We’ll wait for the others over here.”

It was several minutes later before the final Captains arrived. As the first Captain approached the pedestal, a hush fell over the crowd, eager to listen to what he had to say.

Golde stood with bravado, as always. He appeared confident, but in reality, he was all but shaking. “Good evening!” He smiled, looking over the crowd. “You have been gathered here because you are ready to proceed onwards with your life. After many years of preparation and training, you are ready to graduate from the Academy and join the Soul Society itself. And for that I must congratulate each and every one of you.” He took a breath. “And now, I’ll let another Captain speak.”

He smiled, hoping his sudden end wouldn’t draw more attention to him. Sitting down, he tried desperately to calm himself.

Youbou Chousen was talking now, trying to get people to join. His special brand of recruiting consisted mostly of yelling at people about how awesome he was.

It was always Shinzui, the third squad Captain’s responsibility to calm him when he was getting over the top. And the little runt always did. He was at the point where he was all but jumping up and down on the pedestal.

Golde leaned over to Kiyoko. “First official test” He whispered. “Calm the little kid down”

“Got it.”

Kiyoko walked over to the kid, grabbed him by the collar and hurled him backwards into the wall. He got back up to do something, but Golde grabbed him and pulled him down.

I swear…Golde thought…I need to stop hiring qualified, out of control people.
Kiyoko did a wonderful job promoting Squad 3, and Mizuhashi did the same with 4. The fifth Captain was about to speak when the heavens opened and the waters poured out. Everyone rushed inside, leaving a disorganized mess.

“Golde!” Ikioi called. “There was no backup plan…the student/Captain training must be postponed!”

Golde was elate. “YES!” He called and jumped off the stage. He had enough of this public scene.

Everyone hurried inside, but Golde slowly paced himself, and Ikioi walked beside him out of self-inscribed obligation. “Shouldn’t there have been a backup plan, Golde-sama?”

“Nope!” he smiled, seemingly amused.

“Take this!”

Golde turned and drew his sword, blocking the incoming blade. The wielder was fried simply by the force of Golde’s pressure, which carried electrical properties. He pushed his sword into his opponent’s, and sent the man flying. He crashed into a wall, and collapsed, coughing. The wall wasn’t so great either.

“Dammit…” The man coughed and rose up again. “I won’t lose!”
He dashed at the Head Captain again, but was tripped by Ikioi. She drew her sword and held it to the man’s neck. “Who are you?” she asked.

The man scoffed. “Cameron.”

Golde walked over to the little man. “Why?”

“Because I’m stronger than you!”

Golde put his hand on Ikioi’s shoulder. She stepped backwards, and let the man rise.

Golde placed a finger on the student’s chest. He pushed his spiritual pressure through him, sending what was essentially a bolt of lightning through Cameron’s chest.

The student collapsed to the ground. “I disagree strongly” Golde laughed. “But it’s always good to have a goal.” He walked away.

“Now…now you assault!” Ikioi cried, panicked. “Golde this whole day is becoming quite a mess…”

He sighed. “Yeah, yeah. I get it. I should just stop coming right? I agree.” He laughed as he walked away, passively arguing about the graveness of the situation with his stressed little assistant.

Cameron lay on the ground, very angry.

Golde walked back in the rain. Ikioi decided she would stay and attempt to reschedule, as well as attempt to clean up some of the messes made. He offered to help but Ikioi was strongly against it.

A hell butterfly approached him. He allowed it to perch on his finger.

“Golde”

It was the squad 12 Captain. “Yes?”

“Well, you asked us to investigate the dramatic drop in hollow activity in these modern times…”

“Yes?”

“…Um…we have some possibly distressing news.”

That was a great chapter to start your second season with, Head Captain Golde!
I think you captured my reaction pretty well.
I forgot that you actually hated me when I first joined in the old club. xD
Blue scene was perfect, gotta love our little sadistic maniac. ;p
I can't wait for the next chapter to come out, but I guess I'll have to.

I'm doing my GCSEs, which means that in my year group (about 240 students) around 50 other students are doing Physics, Chemistry and Biology separately (3 separate teachers, twice a week each instead of 5 science lessons a week). It's not THAT odd that I'm doing Physics as a separate subject now but is it weird that next year I'm planning on doing the sciences and maths?

I used to hate Biology as well. I have a feeling it was because I learned about the human skeleton and plant reproduction so early (both of which are BORING). But now, I have an awesome teacher, and we're learning about genetics, which I find very interesting.

Actually, all three sciences are complusive for us until A-Level, so no, it's not unusual at all, I guess it's just us British people.

Hmm my favorite funny moment in Bleach is... umm I don't know. XD

There are a good few I like... I find it funny how Mizuiro reacts to Keigo and stuff... XD

It's hard to really say that's my favorite because I don't look at Bleach as a comedy... I just think of it as a good battle manga with an interesting story, which happens to have a few funny points. (But don't all manga? LOL)

Anyway, I guess I'll be slowly climbing back up the ladder of activeness here... ^_^ Still gotta readjust to the fast moving thread. XD
