Yeah, my scholarship barely covers room and board for Kenyon. It's expensive. Even with all the money I've saved from my job, all the money saved in my accounts, and all the investments my dad made before he kicked the bucket, I still have to make like, $4,500 by the time I go there. Guess I've got to take another job during the summer :/

Actually, it is, considering you're good with English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. Have you done Latin? I found that helped immensely.

I dressed for hot weather and got about 7degrees Celcius, i did not bring any warm clothing with me, and as much as I am canadian and good with cold, it did irk me, plus to top it off, Florida had a serious SERIOUS windchill that made it feel like -10C, so i was freezing my buttocks off in outdoor stuff and waiting in lines. next xmas: MEXICO -_-

I am soooo seirous! I always get treated different :| like I was eating at a restaurant yesterday with my family and the waitress came up to us and started talking about how good loking i was and that if her daughter was older, she would try and set me up with her e.t.c....
and the week before, the taxi i was in, i was chatting with the male taxi driver and at the end of the ride, he tells me that the 80$ cab ride is free, and hands me his phone number!
and dont let me get started on what happens at parties I go to in uni.....

in canada, uni is a lot cheaper than the states, but as a consequence, we get smaller scholarships and whatever. What is a hassle is my tuition has risen $1000 in the last year, and is set to go up another $1000, i mean, luckily my parents can pay it, but i know it is quite a hassle to deal with. I am lucky, i help my parents out with my scholarship and i pay my own living fees from my job, but i know if i lose both, my parents can pay it all

Also, is it me, or from certain angles does this new guy look like Aizen?
Honestly though, this new arc does look interesting, also intriguing concept of manipulating the "souls" of inorganic objects and/or materials

Oh yeah, I forgot about that XD. Now that you mention it, it seems likely the badge will be used. I don't remember, but doesn't the badge still sort of work or something? I know there was something "weird" in the beginning of this arc.
And yeah, the guy is like Aizen. I guess that's just how Kubo rolls makes characters.

This seems like the absolute cheapest possible arc. But I'm strangely interested. And I really like that guys sword. I'm also really curious to see what the enemy will be for this arc...since the enemy seems to be...these guys themselves...

In addition to wondering why, I'm also wondering now exactly how his shinigami powers will be "restored". At first I was thinking they'd "restore" it by applying some sort of synthetic version of their powers, but I'm starting to wonder/hope if they just teach him his powers. But I'm also super curious about Chad. It'd be awesome if they had the same powers, because I remember Chad wondering if they could ever fight on the same side again and despite how awesome he is he really sucked in Hueco Mundo. But it'd be really awesome if he could integrate his own powers with his new powers.

Meh, I got plenty to think about over this break XD

I don't particularly like any of the characters yet. The main guy is kind of a douche, and the chick is kinda annoying, plus a total knockoff of Hiyori. And Giriko is a tool. Kugo is ok I GUESS.

florida was colder than expected. That put me in a bad mood. I dressed for hot weather and got about 7degrees Celcius, i did not bring any warm clothing with me, and as much as I am canadian and good with cold, it did irk me, plus to top it off, Florida had a serious SERIOUS windchill that made it feel like -10C, so i was freezing my buttocks off in outdoor stuff and waiting in lines. next xmas: MEXICO -_-

Ahahaha, yeah. It's been unusually cold this winter season. There was even light snow in the Phoenix area yesterday.
But I'd stay out of Mexico, it's really not a safe place at all. Go some where more south, or maybe the Bahamas.

both myself and Senny agree that maybe Ichigo will try to manipulate the "soul" of his Shinigami Badge, seeing as that's the one thing he still holds a connection to from his previous shinigami powers.
Also, is it me, or from certain angles does this new guy look like Aizen?
Honestly though, this new arc does look interesting, also intriguing concept of manipulating the "souls" of inorganic objects and/or materials

This seems like the absolute cheapest possible arc. But I'm strangely interested. And I really like that guys sword. I'm also really curious to see what the enemy will be for this arc...since the enemy seems to be...these guys themselves...

In addition to wondering why, I'm also wondering now exactly how his shinigami powers will be "restored". At first I was thinking they'd "restore" it by applying some sort of synthetic version of their powers, but I'm starting to wonder/hope if they just teach him his powers. But I'm also super curious about Chad. It'd be awesome if they had the same powers, because I remember Chad wondering if they could ever fight on the same side again and despite how awesome he is he really sucked in Hueco Mundo. But it'd be really awesome if he could integrate his own powers with his new powers.

Meh, I got plenty to think about over this break XD

I like Giriko the most so far because he looks cool and reminds me of King Bradly from the FMA series.

Well I liked that they gave him some more screen time in the anime, since it just showed him defeated in the manga without showing the fight.
And Yammy was supposed to be stronger than even Starrk then. Renji and Rukia got a beat down too. :/

Me too, I think Chad's been under-rated for most of the series now.

"Teaching him his powers" would seem unlikely, since he has absolutely no spiritual control left.

Concerning Chad, I think that Hueco Mundo WAS his best arc, but compared to other characters, he really didn't become great in comparison. He managed to beat Gantenbainne, but then Nnoitra steamrolled him. And there were still EIGHT more villains stronger than him.

so Happy New Year guys. i don't have much time right now (in the middile of a beer pong tourney. yeah we do that at my New Years.) just thought i'd pop in to post the latest chapter.

since i can save now, this was written over the course of three days. that made it feel kind of odd. so i kind of need you guys to tell me if it seems like that to you.

we also have a new naming theme. i doubt you guys will guess it.

"Tsukibana! Tsukibana!" The cloaked man yelled. He was charging his six foot, muscular body through the underwater castle. Keiri, the spirit of Zameric's zanpakuto, needed to find his target; she was Mizuhashi's spirit. Keiri knew the Quincy girl had dealt crippling blows to Zam's limbs. He also knew that it would take an exxpert medic to heal them. "Goddamn it. Where the hell are you Tsukibana?!"

A strip of water lashed at the back of the male spirit's head. "You rang, Keiri." Zam's spirit whipped around and locked gazes with a hovering woman. Blue hair fell around her shoulders and a dress in shades of blue adorned her body. "How'd you get here anyway?"

"You know damn well how I got here. You put your portal in the treasure room." His silver eyes peered at her from under the shade of his hood. "Get your master. Zameric needs help. A Quincy crippled three of his limbs."

"Wait a minute, what happened to you?" She was reffering to a hole in his lower chest.

"The ***** shot an arrow clear through me. That's not the important wound though. Zam can't stand up. Just get your master out there."

"I can't. We've gotta help Kida's lieutenant. Mugen says an intruder that appears to be ex-captain Hayashi, busted the Upstart's back open almost through the spine. I can try to get a relief squad sent out to Zameric but that's the best I can muster. Talk to him and keep him awake."

"Fine I'll try. Just hurry up with it."

"Just remember to keep him awake."

"Thank you, Tsukibana." Keiri gave an almost happy look and bolted back towards the treasure room in the castle.

"So Zakei, how'd you manage to escape all those hollows and find that little knife?" Kida asked parrying a slash. Her face showed a sly smirk at the remark. She was getting much enjoiment from crossing blades with a killer and traitor.

"I hid in the ruins of my palace. Ruins are the operative word there. By the time your friends got done with it, there were very few rooms still remaining." The intruder lunged at the lupine girl. She narrowly dodged the oncoming blade. "As for getting my sword back...two men approached me a few days ago. They commisioned me for this mission and when they came to me one had Zasshu in hand."

"I assume your using the word mission to indicate the killing of Takeo Hayashi?"

"Now Kida, when you assume, you make an *** out of you and me."

The blonde girl lowered her head and gave a small chuckle. "I'm taking that as a yes. So who were these men that approached you?"

"No clue." Zakei charged at his opponent. He anticipated the swing she took and countered with a cut to the arm. "They wore cloaks that hid their faces. But even if I did see who they were, there's no way in hell I'd tell you."

"Well if you have no more 'useful' information, then I'll be killing you. Hunt, Ryookami!" She swung her sword straight down. During the swing the blade transformed into a large caligraphy brush. Using the brush he sketched out a small flame in the air. The flame began to glow bright red, then loosed a torrent of fire.

As soon as Kida appeared Zakei had been anticipating this. He pulled his sword up, parallel to his face. As the flames grew close he gave a casual stroke down. The swing stopped the fire dead and sent a swarm of sparks back at Kida.

"What the hell?" The captain exclaimed. She moved right of the sparks, though some still stung into her like bees from hell. "How the hell did you do that? You should be a pile of ashes by now."

"Do you know not of Takeo Hayashi's abilities? He rarely had to release his zanpakuto, but those who had been around for the occasion claimed the Shikai of that blade could cut the air itself."

"So how are you able to use those attacks?"

"Zasshu is an eater. When we killed Takeo, Zasshu had a feast of Takeo's zanpakuto spirit. Do you know what Zasshu means?" The third captain responded with a confused look. "My god woman. Zasshu means 'Hybrid'. When he eats a particularly good energy he'll hold it within himself. In shikai, we can tap into this power, if only slightly."

"I'm guessing you and Zasshu are holding in the energy of Takeo's zanpakuto then." Her question was answered with an evil smile. She wasn't waiting for him to make a move. She quickly touched the flame sketch and drew another sketch at it's side. This one was two parallel lines. There was a spiral at opposite ends; the top line curved at the left and the bottom at the right.

The flame's red glow again launched a storm of fire. The new mark glowed white and caused a virulent wind to rip about. The massive gust pushed the fire, creating a twister of flame.

Zakei raised Zasshu above his head. The tube in the blade shone crimson. The light quickly engulfed the entire blade. He pulled the sword down and held it straight ahead. The twister made contact with only the tip of the blade. Upon contact the blazing wind dissipated as if it were never there. "Bankai, Kurohane Zasshu."

As the flames cleared, Kida caught sight of the sword's new form. The blade had taken on a western appearance. It was double edged and had strange symbols carved into the sides. "What the hell is that?!"

"It's my hybrid. Zasshu has no bankai of it's own. To use bankai, my sword releases it's own energy along with the energy it has stored inside from another sword. Simply put, my current 'bankai' is the shikai we stole from Takeo Hayashi, Kurohane."

"I don't give a damn whose sword you're using, you'll still fall to me. Bankai, Tsuki no Ryookami!" The brush she held became longer, lighter and thinner, looking more prepared for battle. Using her right hand she quickly drew out a leaf, which began to glow green. Taking the fire symbol with her left hand, drove the elements together. Now taking the brush, she weaved a stream of magma, created by the fusion of the earth and fire, into a ring around herself. "Ready *******?"

The intruder coughed out a laugh. "Well isn't that neat? The girl releases bankai and thinks she'll finish me quickly. Well then little one, let us do battle."

Blue had snapped the oddly dressed assailant away from Zam just before the ninth captain had begun his battle with the Quincy. Cameron couldn't quite figure out how to fight the person in front of him. The attacker was wearing this odd clown suit and a harellquin mask. The intruder's weapons were a pair of curved blades, mounted on his wrists.

"Wha ha ha ha ha!" The clown laughed. Blue narrowly flash stepped away from a right handed cut. With amazing agility, the clown began a flurry of slashes, uppercuts and stabs, leaving no time for a counter attack.

"Damn it." The captain got caught in the ribs. Too much drag. He thought while yanking off his haori. He threw the white cloth coat at his opponent. The blades shreded it easily. "Damn it. I hoped that would at least slow him down."

The quick movement of blades abruptly ended. The clown stood perfectly still as the young captain distanced himself from his attacker. "Heh heh." The clown swung both blades into the earth. When removed they brought with them a monstrous chunk of rock. With a quick flick of both wrists, the clown launched the rock at Blue.

"Disappear and Reappear, Kagebu." The eleventh captain shunpoed into a nearby shadow, narrowly avoiding the stone. Once exiting through an adjacent shadow, his blade had become pitch dark. "Kagebari." A tree shadow on each side of the clown formed to a point and shot towards it. The shadows made contact, leaving an X-shaped cut across the clown's torso.

Cameron's attacker let out a shrill cry. The young captain took this chance and charged ahead. He delivered a swift cut to the right arm due to the dodge from the injured enemy. Blue jerked his hand causing a shadow to reach out and trip the clown.

The odd opponent fell hard. Another noise erupted from the clown's throat. This wasn't a cry of pain, though. This was a menacing growl. A gutteral sound filled with pure rage. The clown pushed up and stood face to face with the captain. A hand moved to the mask hiding his visage. The cracked lower jaw portion was pulled off.

The revealed chin and left jaw looked small and almost feminine to the young captain. He drew up Kagebu, ready to attack. When the enemy began rushing forward, Cameron did the same. He wasn't going for the kill, however. He had to find something out first.

Upon coming head to head with his attacker, Blue shot his free hand out, gripping the cut cloth of the clown's attire. The enemy's blade caught him, leaving a large gash across his chest. He was able to shunpo away after recieving the damage, taking the cloth with him.

"I thought as much," sighed the captain. The removal of the cloth revealed what the clown was hiding. The red cloth had concealed a sleeveless shihakusho, like the ones worn by the Stealth Force, which showed that the wearer had breasts and was a woman. "Still doesn't explain why you can't talk though."

"Heh heh. Who said I couldn't?" Her voice came out melodically. The newly revealed girl reached up and removed the rest of the mask and a skull cap. From under the mask a pair of energetic green eyes appeared as burgandy hair fell from her head. The locks fell over her left eye and reached down to her chest. "That laughing was just to throw you off, but I'm pretty sure it didn't work. Did it, Captain of Squad 11, Cameron Blue?"

"How do you know who I am, lady?"

"I know who all of you are. Zameric, Kida, Mizuhashi. You name one of the captains and I know enough about them to put together a preliminary profile," the woman responded while removing the blades from her wrist. She threw the blades to the side and pulled a sword from a sheath on her right hip. "So should we get down to battling for real?"

"Fine. But first, tell me who you are."

"You can call me Akitsu."

"Well then, Akitsu, I'm Cameron Blue and I'll be you're killer today."

"Damn. They told me it was bad but this..." Mizuhashi took a long pause, "...this...this is...just insane. This just...Katsumi, tell me again how this happened."

"Well," the brunette started, "we got into a fight with the guy that was here when we arrived. He dodged a couple of our attacks and when ended up backing him into a corner. Then he released his zanpakuto-I believe he called it Shinkiro-which caused this weird mist to appear. I told Enzeru to be careful and as soon as I got done Enzeru used this tornado thing of his to try to blow away the mist."

"And then?"

"Then all of the sudden, Enzeru yelled and the guy had just cut him up the back. He started using kido at me and when I dodged an Okasen it hit Upstart and made the wound wider. He got me with Sajo Sabaku, then sent Haien at Enzeru. About that time Lieutenant Sasaki showed up and saved Upstart. The ryoka shortly exchanged words with the Lieutenant and then just disappeared."

"Is that it?"

"Yes that's just abou..." Mizuhashi cut her off with his hand.

After a moment the captain spoke again. "Katsumi stop. I may need you to do one more thing for me. Tsukibana just said Keiri came into her world. Zam's in trouble in Karakura. Three of his limbs are crippled and he needs help. I need you to..."

"No Mizuhashi." A voice on the roof behind him cut him off. "She's not going. Katsumi's going home to rest. She's had a rough night."

"Who are you to order me around." The fourth captain looked onto the roof. A blonde girl stood there, a small smile across her face.

"I'm Akane Hayashi. My brother Shigeo and I were given orders to come to the Seireitei and be go-betweens for the Royal and Court Guard squads. I'm not trying to be inconsiderate or anything but, the girl needs some rest. I'll go."

"By 'I'll go' you mean you're going. I can't stop you, but I'm sending one of my men with you."

"Nope. No need. Among the RGS I'm one of the best medics. I think I can handle what you have."

"Just send a message back if you decide you do need help."

"I doubt I'll need help. But thanks for offering." With the end of the sentence, she took off for the Senkaimon.

Mizuhashi released Tsukibana and began to work on the wound. He let out a small chuckle and dropped his head.

"What is it captain?" An officer named Oume asked.

The captain broke out into a laugh. "I never expected Saiga's sister to be like that at all. I expected a female version of the ex-captain himself. But I'm not always right."

"She didn't look too bad. Right Captain?"

"Not too bad at all, Oume."

A stream of magma rocketed towards Hayate Zakei. He flew forward, cutting the stream in half as he went. He reached the end where Kida was controlling the molten earth. He took three quick swings, all of which she dodged.

"The lady is quick." Zakei smirked.

"The lady is going to beat your *** to a bloody pulp." She quickly drew a water drop and the wind symbol and slammed them together. This action sent a pillar of ice flying at the blond man. Using the brush, she commanded the magma to go as well.

"Kazeken." Wind whipped around Zakei's blade. He blocked the oncoming elements simultaniously. The twisting wind around the blade chipped away at the ice while sending lava flying in all directions.

"I see now," Kida said as the attacks disappered, "Takeo didn't cut the wind, he used the wind as a weapon. I think it's about time I ended this."

"And how do you intend on doing that?"

"I'll show you." Her hand moved fast, creating two parallel bolts of lightning. The glowed yellow before shooting at the enemy.

"Idiot." Zakei's wind spun quicker and soon the blade became charged with lighting, which Kida's attack was attracted to. "That's it! You've only made me stronger. By increasing the air pressure, my sword can take on lightning properties and your attack just helped with that."

"Shut up and look up." Kida said.

Zakei did as told. A metal dome now encapsulated them. "What the?!"

"And down." Steel shot from the ground, wrapping around Zakei.

"Damn you woman! What the hell is this?" Hayate recoiled as something stung his arm. Molten metal was burning his arm.

"I wrapped you in metal, and now I'm going to use my magma to burn you to death." Using the brush, she manipulated the magma onto all the metal.

The molten material slowly melted and fused with the steel. The intense mixture began to burn into Zakei's skin. The man was now screaming with every bit of air he could get from his lungs. "You wretched *****! I'll kill you! I'll kill you all!"

"Let that thought carry you into death. It will never become a reality." The screaming grew softer and less frequent as she watched. She guessed that the magma had burned into his lungs. Then everything grew silent. Hayate Zakei was dead.

The lava faded as Ryookami was resealed. The being that once was Zakei was then a grotesque form on the ground.

"Kida. What the hell did you do to him?" Ryuu Schiffer stood behind her. He carried the folder Akon had given him ten minutes earlier.

"I put him down. He was ready to kill as many of us as possible, so I put him down. I got revenge for Hayashi."

"Funny you should bring him up. While you were here killing Zakei, our old friend dropped by and ripped your Lieutenant's back open. He took off but was openly leaking reiatsu until he disappeared into a Garganta."

The third captain was stunned. Nine people had watched the ex-thirteenth captain sacrifice himself. "You're sure it was him?"

"300% sure. Rin, Akon and I ran three tests each. Each test came up 100% sure that Saiga Hayashi came here and attacked your Lieutenant."

"So what do we do?"

"Show the results to Golde and wait for further orders."

Akitsu and Blue clashed swords. She quickly pulled back and delivered a strike to the captain's arm.

"You're good Akitsu. Why not come fight with the Soul Society?"

"At one point I did. But they and I had a falling out. I fight with a new team and this team has instructed me to beat whoever I met. Climb..." The woman stopped herself and put a hand to her ear. Seconds later she sheathed her blade.

"What the hell?! Where're you going?"

"Sorry kid. My team's calling me away. Shakaho." She launched a red energy ball that connected with Blue's chest. We he looked up, she was gone.

Akitsu appeared in a cloak with two other cloaked figures. They were both holding bodies. She looked over and saw a many laying crippled on the ground. She immeadiatly recognized him. "Just stay down, Zam," she said instinctivly.

Head captain Golde sat at his desk in his barracks office. He broke into a smile as two people entered the room. One was Akon, the researcher and the other was Ayame, the trainee who went with Zam into Karakura town. "So how did everyone's part of the plan work out?"

"Our's were fine," Ayame answered, "but the Quincies didn't get out so lucky. That guy Yoshi, from squad seven, cut up and killed the girl and her brother used the God's Hand and shreded his arm up."

"Don't forget about Cole," Akon added. "We don't know how but it is confirmed that he is dead."

"And Akitsu?"

"We're waiting to hear back on that one. She was fighting Captain Blue so we should hear about it soon enough," Akon responded.

"Ok then. Ayame, stay hidden until it is revealed what we did. Akon go back to doing what you do."
Both exited. Well, well, Golde thought, looks like Hayashi's plan worked better than I predicted.

Rather mysterious chapter. There are all these people which happen to be, like, Captain level or higher now. There is that Yoshi guy who seems to be worse than Blue Is that possible? The new Cloaked Team, and Golde.

It sounds much like the plot of the first half of a game I played, where there was an outside force threatening to take them all over while a major force slowly turns on the rest of the main characters in an attempt to make them stronger. Either that, or Golde/Kusa's gone wacko.

Kida is...gruesome.

I want Screentime.

both myself and Senny agree that maybe Ichigo will try to manipulate the "soul" of his Shinigami Badge, seeing as that's the one thing he still holds a connection to from his previous shinigami powers.
Also, is it me, or from certain angles does this new guy look like Aizen?
Honestly though, this new arc does look interesting, also intriguing concept of manipulating the "souls" of inorganic objects and/or materials

Excuse you? I think Hueco Mundo was Chad's best time in the story.
First he upgrading his powers training with Renji before going. Then he easily Whomps Demoura. Then awakens his true powers during his fight with Gantenbainne, a Privaron Espada, and defeats him with his new ability La Muerte. Yeah, he then gets beat down by Nnoitra, but he's the quinto Espada and Chad was battle worn. Nnoitra was on par with Kenpachi! :/

so Happy New Year guys. i don't have much time right now (in the middile of a beer pong tourney. yeah we do that at my New Years.) just thought i'd pop in to post the latest chapter.

since i can save now, this was written over the course of three days. that made it feel kind of odd. so i kind of need you guys to tell me if it seems like that to you.

Not really. It's still lives on in all the romance languages (English, FRENCH, especially Italian, Spanish, I think German too, but idk about that). Not to mention that a lot of names (or at least scientific names) are derived from both Latin and Greek root words. It's still used all the time.

I LOVE speculating, ESPECIALLY when there are curve balls! I enjoy taking the situation, analysing it and making predictions based on the characters' personalities and the author's writing style. It makes it so much more fun, especially since it makes you understand and enjoy the series much more.
