Have A Nice Day ^_^
(Captain’s hall. Current Time.)
The body dropped rapidly from the explosion. A tiny dot in the sky. A tiny dot that could survive that explosion. It had to be quite a sturdy dot. Damned Dot.
“Vindel…!” yelled the orange-haired woman. Her hands moved quickly, reiatsu charging the air as a symbol was quickly formed. Notably, a spell-circle. It glowed brightly, and Vindel suddenly appeared within it, no longer falling at great speeds. He panted, but seemed other wise undamaged, save a few scratches and burns, from the explosions.
“That damned doll…Lemon, Lamia, let’s retreat for now.” Vindel ordered. Before anyone could do anything Lemon, the orange haired shinigami, pulled out a Zanpakutou. She held it up and a purple barrier surrounded them and grew-but it did not accept any of the captains. In a flash, everything but the building and it’s rubble disappeared into nowhere.
“Teleportation zanpakutou. Interesting” Golde murmured in analysis, clearly lost in thought about the previous occurrences. Meanwhile, everyone else was clearly in some state of concentration or stress. Some, notably Cameron, were mourning the loss of Ryuu despite his betrayal. Others, like Golde, were simply wondering who those three shinigami were. To want a world of eternal pain and war…
Whatever they were doing, all was interrupted when a member of the twelfth squad urgently shunpo’d in, ignoring the damage. “Unknown high-reiatsu signal on Earth, Position: Near the peak of Mt. Everest. Several squads have been deployed there, including nearby earth Patrol squads. The Energy appears to be Hollow in origin, unlike arrancar or normal hollow, Several Bodies, and no word from any of the squads sent there.” The shinigami panted, clearly more sued to the lab than shunpoing rapidly as a messenger. Golde waved him off.
“Rotrum, Kida, Kusari, Head to Mt. Everest ASAP. Make a detour and take Dauc and the EWX and OTX Teams with you, we need to explain the situation to him anyways.” Golde said solemnly, clearly not completely himself.
______
(At the bottom of Mt. Everest.)
“…I see.” Ex-Captain Narcisse Dauc murmured as they arrived at Mt. Everest. “So that is what happened…I will keep Squad Twelve stable for a while, I suppose. When this matter has been dealt with I’ll see if any of the video feeds was salvageable.”
“We ARE dealing with Unknowns.” Rotrum reminded him, the others easily catching how he was referring to more than one thing. “We don’t know what we’re messing with.”
“Lets dive headfirst then!” Min shouted enthusiastically, holding up a large rifle designed for her. “The Oxtongue has been itching for a good fight!” Her lightweight white armor was equipped with silent boosters-she didn’t even need to touch the ground if she didn’t want to.
“Minny, don’t get too overenthusiastic…” Kai sighed, knowing it was futile. Strapped to his back was a strange cannon, as tall as he was. On his wrist was a watch-shape with a clearly removable disk instead of a screen to show time. His all-purpose blue armor was far more lightweight than it’s appearance or strength would reveal.
“Let’s just get the job done” Gira said sternly, holding up his right, a metal stake mounted on a revolver-style gun on his wrist. His heavy armor had large octagonal prisms mounted on his shoulders, and it was clear that he wore the heaviest and sturdiest armor of the three.
“We won’t get anywhere just talking about it.” Erin pointed out, she and the other OTX members were traditional shinigami with normal robes and weapons. No one would have been able to figure that they were on par with these heavily-armed fighters, Lieutenant level even.
“Rotrum, Kida, Min, Erin, You guys will be able to get up the mountain faster. We’ll catch up soon” Kusari said, cutting the conversation that had begun to form. They nodded and began their ascent.
Min soared straight into the air, a facemask automatically appearing as she began to gain altitude-sealing her off to the environment as she easily flew upwards. Shinigami did not need to spend much power acclimatizing, and Rotrum and Kida were naturally good at such-so they shunpo’d ahead rapidly. Rotrum moved at the same speed at Min, and Kida moved slightly slowly as she used her shikai’s wind attributes in order to help Erin get to the mountain’s peak with them. Farther behind, Kusari, Gira, Dauc, Saph, and Cell slowly trekked up the mountain as Dauc began improving some pressure suits he had brought along.
“Enemies sighted. There are…at least 200 of them in total! ARL (Approximate Rei Level)* is…Over 9000 each! There are two types of these Unknowns. One seems to be plant-based in original, the other is skeletal based. Have yet to notice me. The Plants are Ten feet tall and the Skeletons are fifteen feet tall. Reiatsu signatures are all identical to those with identical appearance. They don’t like anything like Hollows. More like Purple-cloaked plants and the skeletal remains of some strange monster” Min stated over the group’s radio frequency, using a mixture of her altitude and the scanner built into her armor to analyze the unknowns. Gotta love Ryuu’s technology.
Rotrum quickly caught up with her visibility-wise as he stood on the air next to where she hovered. “Don’t aggress them unless they attack us first. We need to wait for Kida and Erin anyways.” It was almost impossible to notice, but Rotrum had entered his shikai and tapped into the snow that covered Mt. Everest. He displaced a large amount of ice crystals into the air as he circulated a breeze around him to down low-where there was air to circulate at all. Because he used cold air and ice crystals in order to physically displace air, it was far too cold for the average person to use this as a tunnel of safe breathing at high altitudes. If Rotrum were human with the same power, his physical body could not possibly have survived with such an unreliable and cold source of air.
Meanwhile Kida and Erin were traveling inside a hamster-wheel of air. Weirder things have happened. For example, a plant made up of a purple cloak with vines growing out of it and one large red glowing eye might stare at a young boy and girl and shoot a red laser beam at them. Followed by all of the other plants firing laser beams as skeletons began firing pieces of bone-like substance at them. Weirder things like that.
Rotrum and Min separated to divide the fire as they navigated through the mix of bone-like substance (From now on, It shall just be considered Bone) and laser beams. Min began firing her own beams from the Oxtongue Rifle as she evaded the projectiles. Rotrum, unable to multiply his weapons in shikai, coated his knives in ice and guided them through the field of gigantic 10/15 Foot Plants/Skeletons-freezing and cutting through them as they span under his guidance. With his high speed, he easily maneuvered through the attacks. But there were still many of them.
A Bone Bullet struck Min, breaking her concentration and pulling her off her course. An coursing shield of electricity formed before her as she regained her balance, as Erin and Kida arrived on the scene. They continued to stay within a Hamster ball of Air. Kida found a flat piece of land to park her hamster ball as she drew three symbols in the air, a pentagram forming beneath her’s and Erin’s feet.
At one point Rotrum realized it was too slow to fight from a distance and began engaging in high speed combat with the Unknowns with his covered in ice. At this point, Kida had given him his own hamster ball. Fun. Sort of. If you don’t include the fact he’s fighting monstrous things more than twice his size. Monstrous things that keep insisting on invading his personal hamster ball. Well you know what they say. Invaders Must Die.
Kida was responsible for defending the other two girls while simultaneously spellslinging the elements upon the beasts. Next to her stood Erin who was slashing the air like crazy with her twin blades-sending waves of electricity at the Unknowns. Min was sniping them from the air.
And yet…their numbers didn’t seem to go down at all. They appeared to be replacing themselves as quickly as they were destroyed. Shortly after Rotrum realized why. Eight stone pillars stood at the peak of Mt. Everest. Between them was a portal. From this portal Unknowns poured out steadily to join the fight. After reporting this to the others, he asked the obvious question, “Where the hell are you guys?”
“Dauc is insistent on overdoing our pressure suits” was Kusari’s reply. You could hear some curses from Dauc and several impacts before they stopped broadcasting (for lack of a better word.)
And so the battle continued, wearing out Min and Erin greatly. Erin was resting as Rotrum and a tired Min (Inorite?) were the entire offense at this point. But the enemy kept coming and they were getting closer to the pentagram.
A skeleton launched itself at the Pentagram (“It’s not The Pentagon, it’s the Pentagonal Prism!” –My Math Teacher on The Pentagon.) Before Kida could react Gira appeared, stabbing the metal stake on his wrist deep into the chest of the monster. Three shots fired from the wrist-mounted revolver, launching the dead monster straight into the other monsters. From his other hand a steady flow of bullets kept the lien of monsters back as Kai walked up the mountain.
“Assault 1 and Assault 3 reporting. The others are still preparing pressure suits. We went ahead because of our armor’s abilities.” Gira said calmly as he began mercilessly shooting the strange monsters.
“I would’ve thought you guys could get more done” Kai remarked, earning a smack from Erin as he set up his cannon. He grabbing the side handles of it, carefully attaching it to the front of his armor in order to relieve some of the weight. His armor came to life, whirring as energy was produced to power the Compact Gravity Impact Cannon. The Cannon fired an incredibly high density beam, which was the most dangerous of the three experimental weapons (The Oxtongue Rifle, The CGI Cannon, and the Heavy Claymore) in that if it was not used carefully it could explode with deadly consequences. Because of that, the CGI Cannon had a very low output compared to it’s original and there really is no more Gravity in the CGI Cannon…Well…the point is the cannon is still incredibly powerful despite no longer being a dangerous to use weapon.
“…Weren’t other squads supposed to arrive here as well?” Kai asked as he set up his cannon. At that moment the other shinigami all had a simultanesous “Ohcrap…” moment.
“Well…*Ahem*…They haven’t reported back so…they either died in combat or of cold and altitude” Erin speculated.
“…Well they’re clearly hostiles and even though we have not been able to investigate them, I think we should end this.” Rotrum sighed, still slicing his way through the crowd of monsters.
“Agreed. Kusari, Dauc, What is your distance?” Kida said, opening up the radio once more.
The reply came back quickly, the answer…was not very quick. “Dauc accidently stabbed through my pressure suit.” Kusari said, clearly irritated and rapid to blame.
Cell and Saph suddenly arrived at the mountain’s peak, both clad in combat-ready pressure suits. “We went ahead while Dauc fixes Kusari’s suit”
“Let the games begin. Bankai! Kaisoku Buriza-do Toride.” Rotrum shouted, clouds immediately gathering over Mt. Everest as snow began falling from the sky. Rotrum became camouflaged in the white snow in the air and on the ground-virtually invisible from certain angles. He became a blur as an arsenal of white weapons began decimating the monsters, creating horrendous ice sculptures across the top of the mountain.
Cell held his blade up. “Old fashioned fighting beats hi-tech weaponry everytime!” he shouted, rapidly firing off different kidou at the monsters that refused to give an inch. Blast after Blast of everything from Sekientons to raikouhous rapidly decimated their front line-which was almost instantaneously replaced. There were too many.
“Not really.” Kai yawned, hefting the CGI Cannon as it finished charging. “Outta the way!” he warned as he fired off the High-Density beam into the swarm of monster,s instantly destroying some of them and fatally damaging a number of others.
Gira waited for a moment after Kai fired before shunpo’ing straight into the frontlines. “Fire…Heavy Claymores!” The compartments on his shoulders opened up as hundreds of titanium shells began unloading into the crowd of monsters
Meanwhile, up above, bullets, weapons, and beams rained onto the battlefield. Min was easily sniping out individual monsters, but her ammo was running low and it seemed that the monsters were coming out infinitely. Rotrum was conducting an orchestra of flying blades that repeated slashed through the crowd like molten metal through butter.
“…Hiryuugekizokushintenraihou!” Saph unleashed a massive wave of electricity-based energy, tearing through the apparently infinite crowd of enemies. “Not even a dent…”
“This is insane…” Rotrum muttered as tornadoes of ice and blades now raged across the battlefield. It was notable that the bodies of the strange monsters just disappeared when destroyed, there was no trace. No evidence. Nothing to take back to the lab.
“Unknown high power source…in the clouds!” Min said, the power rating beeping over her visor.
“At this altitude?” Kida questioned, looking at Min. “How high?”
“ARL…500,000, at least!” Min gasped as she read the readings on her
scouter visor.
Thunder crashed before lightning hit the peak of Mt. Everest, instantly vaporizing a good amount of the monsters. A Tiger and a Chinese dragon roared simultaneously where the lightning had struck. Each of them was around a stronger captain’s level, at least. They spoke no words, but did not seem to be enemies. In fact, there were tearing through the monsters like the blades of a diamond-edged paper shredder. The white tiger roared and winds churned, tornadoes tearing through the crowd as the tiger used its claws themselves to rip through the fleshy plants and clean through the bony skeletal creatures, while the blue dragon roared and seemed to invoke lightning down on it’s foes while circling the portal. Slowly, but surely, the portals began to shrink as the two beasts easily diminished the numbers of the monsters. Soon, the portal was gone, and so were the beasts.
Two figures, one around Rotrum’s physical age and the other around 17, appeared momentarily. “Missed ‘em…” One of them murmured before they both disappeared.
Moments later Kusari and Dauc arrived. “...What I miss?”
_____
(Unknown. Present Time.)
“Vindel-Sama, Mistress Lemon, what will we do now?” Lamia asked apprehensively.
“That explosion messed with Sistema LYKEIOS. Without it, we can only do short spatial jumps. We’ll stay in hiding for now. Besides, according to the data we got from I.L.P. before that puppet rebelled, THAT event is about to start. It’d be better if we just stay out of it for now. Lemon, begin plotting out locations of materials and a small factory. The shinigami appeared to be unfamiliar with your kidou and easily fell prey to I.L.P’s Time Freeze. So we can assume that up until now he was working fine. We shall proceed with caution.” Vindel replied, resting in his chair and covered in numerous bandages.
“Yes, Sir” Both women said before going off into different areas of the building.
Lamia thought about I.L.P. for a short amount of time before going about her business.
Meanwhile Lemon was in her lab. “I.L.P…no, Ryuu Schiffer. You really were my masterpiece, you developed your own personality and made your own choice against your orders. Now, gone…” She sighed before looking over the data again. She gasped. “Kida and Chii Ookami...”
______
(In front of The First Squad Office, slightly earlier than present)
Golde sighed as he awaited the return of the squad he had dispatched earlier. More importantly, he was wondering about what had occurred before that. He honestly was stumped about those three shinigami. He thought he could trust Ryuu. He sighed before noticing a rainbow sticky note on the doors to his office.
“Hi Goldy ^_^. Civilization Inspection has been watching you and we’ve deemed your race incredibly violent and threat to the universe. We’re giving you this notice to cease function immediately and prepare for Termination.
Have a nice day ^_^

_____
*Approximate Rei level: A system of Battle power measurement. A normal human would have at best 5. Bottom-Captain class is 100k, Bottom Lieutenant is 50k, EWX/OTX teams stand in the 60-thousands. Average grunt shinigami is 1-10k (Not including releases). ARL is simply an approximation made by 500s and it is not used as a formal classification. ARL is not additive and one hundred grunt shinigami are probably not going to be able to defeat a bottom-class Captain or even an average Lieutenant. The system is also used to measure weapon power, but a 150k ARL Weapon-user probably wont’ compare to a 150k ARL Captain if the user isn’t strong by their self.
