Let's create a 4D chess. :P
 

so, so far we have a pale reaper and a blazing reaper, the blazing reaper carries a large sword, while the pale one carries a scythe

the last two are the white reaper and the black reaper, white carries a bow with arrows, and wears a crown, while black carries measuring scales, which apparently, when released, turn into deadly chain blades

And these reapers are... shinigami? How did the pale one got wings? o.o

Not technically true, but close. Iai is the art of drawing and resheathing a blade at high speed, intersperced with a slash. The mortal draw is just a fast sword draw, and thus is more like a battoujutsu technique, a straight-up sword draw made for maximum speed and maximum power at the cost of completely opening one's defenses for a brief instant. By contrast, Iaido is designed for maximum speed and precision, intended to alway inflict a lethal blow while keeping some semblance of defense, but very lacking in actual power behind the blow.

hey guys not sure if its okay or not but i would like to join the bleach club...I been a bleach fan for awhile but been lacking lately on the shows but read some of the manga for a short while until i couldn't afford buying new manga...I always wanted to cosplay a character from bleach but not sure what to cosplay...I like to cosplay maybe rukia or something but everyone assists me to do orahime cauz of my personality...I read all the rules on the first page and didn't see a pledge in sight so i hope i don't get i trouble for the post. Renji is my favorite guy character, he has like the most awsome Banki besides Bakuya's beautiful cherry blossoms...so pretty but deadly...still been trying to catch up on the anime...

1. Normally, I think, 3-way chess has the same number of pieces, just the board is slightly different.
2. I've seen variations where it's 10x10, or 10x8 (10 horizontally, 8 vertically). The extra 2 pieces are a fusion of the Knight and Rook, and Knight and Bishop (in the same way the Queen is the fusion of the Rook and Bishop). I'd LOVE to play this, the only thing is, I don't know which side to put the Knishop, and which side to put the Knook.
3. That's image... is exactly the same as normal chess, some parts are just raised. It looks cool, yeah, but it's pointless.
4. 4D chess? You mention that one more time, and I'll come up with it. God help you all, I will.

Which Bleach characters would you like to play against in chess?
Unohana idk, maybe Shunsui or Ukitake. Those two are pretty good at, what, Chinese chess? or whatever, so it's probable that they'd be good at western chess as well. Maybe Choujiro, since he seems like he knows a lot about the western culture, so he could know how to play chess.

And I wouldn't like to play against Aizen. He'll end up making it seem like my pawn captured his Queen, but in actuality it was an illusion >.>

Then their weapons aren't zanpakuto. Only shinigami have zanpakuto. You seem to constantly cause me to question if you're actually a fan of Bleach or not. This statement and the last chapter in particular have many things that are basically you just ripping the canon to pieces and putting it back in a way that benefits you.

You realize that the Horseman ride the White Horse (Conquest), the Red Horse (War), Black Horse (Famine) and Pale/Green Horse (Death). Therefore, there is no "Blazing" Horseman. And just to point out on the weapons, Death is only depicted carrying a scythe in certain illustrations. In the Bible he's never said to have a weapon, only that he is followed by Hades.

Which Bleach characters would you like to play against in chess?

I'm good, but I'm not that good. I'd probably fair pretty well against Shunsui/Ukitake/Unohana (they'd do really well in a game like this). I can't tell if Mayuri would really like the game, or just find it a waste of time (and flip the board in anger when I kill his Queen).
I'd love to play Urahara or Aizen, though, simply to see how quickly and how badly they'd beat me.

Alright, well, 4D means 4 dimensions. And that means 4 directions (or 8 directions, since "up" and "down" are different directions along the same dimension). So presumably, we might have a few layers of the chess board stacked on top of each other: this introduces our third dimension, and lets us move up and down as well.
The fourth dimension would, following the pattern, be a few of these next to each other. You could choose to either:
Move like normal, through one board;
Move through the board in the same stack;
or move through the stacks.

There's probably be things, like keeping the same spot on the board, if you were moving boards/stacks, but that can be assumed.

The number of pieces would probably have to be changed, though, because of ALL of this extra space.

There are probably extra rules that would need to be in place, but I think I'd need to play the game first to make them (like you can only check/attack on the same board, you can't move to another board/stack if another piece is on the square you want, etc.).

Aizen would somehow lure you into capturing his Queen, while in actuality you only managed to capture a pawn. Nowait, you were occupying an empty spot. He made you see as if his Queen was there, while he checkmates you on the next move. If the move somehow fails (which is unlikely, since this is Aizen), he'll checkmate you on his next move. In the end, you'll be left with a single King while Aizen has all his pieces contact.

Well, each stack is probably 2 boards, and I imagine 3 stacks next to each other. So probably 3 rows of 3 stacks (nine stacks altogether), for 5D.
