Sounds good. I think western audiences who aren't totally familiar with the series could get hooked with that bit and not be overwhelmed.

Anime
...is it over yet? :c
So nazomi is the 1st mod soul and ugly crazy filler villain made the mod souls. Meh.
We also got tos ee our favorites get owned by copies, that were holding back the entire time. :/
Manga
Apologize!
*flees*
We have you surrounded...
*Breaks the stairs* you can kill him now...
*Ichigo adds another arm to Kubo's limb collection*
Then Chad and Orihime come and ruin it.
I'm currently running Nyan Cat for a few days, so I can't really watch anime or listen to music or do anything that requires audio... Basically, I'm holding off on the episode for this week. For now.
But for the manga... My reaction right at the last page was:
Spoiler:
DUDE. WHAT THE HELL! THAT'S NOT COOL, MAN.
I literally said that out loud.
I really don't even think I CAN elaborate any more than that... Except for the fact that:
Spoiler:
I HATE TSUKISHIMA. IN FACT, I HATE HIM AS MUCH AS AIZEN, AT THIS POINT. AND I HOPE KUBO ADDS HIS LIMBS TO HIS SEVERED LIMB COLLECTION. SERIOUSLY.
Ahh okay, I feel MUCH better now... Rant's done. Go about your lovely business now... LALALALALA~~~
Tsukishima is totally doing what I had believed, except he's not controlling the situation as much as I thought. It's now obvious that he's basically replaced Ichigo in the memories of Orihime and Chad, otherwise Chad would never turn against Ichigo and Orihime wouldn't defend only Tsukishima and would instead try to stop the fighting in general. God, I seriously hopes that Ichigo pulls something out that makes Tsuki's death just painfully enjoyable.
Very true. Though to be fair, I think any live-action movie of an anime is bound to look silly/stupid, because anime makes things absurd by being an anime.
I think there'd be a fair amount of CG, though (like Hollows).

Yup, exactly.
Leave that to Michael Bay to make the Hollows explode in flashy colors
Manga: Spoiler:
End of the Bond I.. Let's see how many end of the bonds we get now
You know, this arc will be VERY enjoyable if in the end, everyone just reveals that they were acting in front of Tsukishima. I could see that happening with the Fullbringers, but just not with the other characters though.
I wonder what Tsukishima's motives are.
Woohoo Kamen Raider. *crappy music starts playing*
ANOTHER ARM ohjoy
It's either Ichigo and Ginjo having to fight them all themselves, or Isshin and Urahara will come with the shinigami next week.
The title itself, "End of the Bond 1" proves that I was wrong, and that it actually WILL end. This arc feels like such a filler.
Trollkishima at his BEST!
"I DESTROYED THE STAIRS" Why is that so much more funny than it should be?
Aaaand another arm is gone. Arc, add it to the list, please.
Chad and Inoue are going to fight him? Something tells me that the spell will be broken in a few chapters.
Alright, so Ichigo will handle these two, Ginjou will handle the Fullbringers, and at some point (after a few chapters), Urahara and Isshin come in.
Spoiler:- o u no:
Say what now?
That last part made me so mad.
I know, right? He made it sound so dramatic, as if it was a huge accomplishment. xD
Something tells me the next few chapters will be heartbreakers.
I dunno, I think Isshin and Urahara are going to be the ones to recall the peoples' memories, and Ichigo will be forced to kill Tsukishima and then deal with Inoue and Chad. I think you're correct about Ginjou though.
Is it just me or does anyone else just feel like this isn't even Bleach anymore.
My reaction to the arm thing: *singing*And another arm gone. And another arm gone. Another arm bites the dust!
How the stairs line should've gone: Ginjo -- "I broke the stairs. It's fucking fool proof."
Time for the obligitory Hero vs. Lancer fight while The Chick/The Medic stands around doing nothing.
So yeah. That's about it.
One mischievous little woodpecker
Another day, pecking your holes
Ruining the woods, tree wrecker
The angry old forest god turned your poor beak into a poison knife
Poor little wood pecker, your nesting holes are all tainted
Your food with toxins rife
Touch your friends, and they all will die falling at your feet
Oh, sad little woodpecker
Poisonous tears, shining brightly, as they stream down your cheeks
Is it just me or does anyone else just feel like this isn't even Bleach anymore.
Spoiler:- A reply, what more do you want from me?:
I know what you mean, it's been ages since we've seen the classic Shinigami uniforms donned and the zanpakutous unsheathed. But still, we just have to be patient for this fullbring thing to bring back Ichigo's Shinigami powers, then when he's able to see Shinigami and whatnot again it'll be back to black and white robes. In a black and white Manga. But you get my drift.

Meh, I'm too lazy to do so. Ask Zam. XD
Hopefully.

Well that. If he keeps using his Fullbring? Hopefully not, though.

With the previous predictions you've made, chances are, you're right about Urahara and Isshin getting everyones' memories back. I think it might have to do with destroying his blade...

If I could be bothered to go through Bleach, I'd find some for you.
Grimmjow, Ulquiorra, Hallibel's Fraccion, I think Luppi too, Yammy at the beginning, that's all I can remember for now.

I think a large part of it is because there's no more Aizen. When you think about it, he was probably a bigger character than Ichigo.
I lol'd.

Lancer. When you mentioned that.. Where is Ishida? o.o
If we know what the most recent one in your folder is, we can read the gap between that and Zam's oldest pic. There might be some missed out that neither of you got, but I guess that could be fixed later.

We last saw him in the hospital, but we don't know if he's been affected. We'll find out, I guess.

So, I bet you guys weren't expecting this for another month or so, right?
Think again.
This is probably somewhat poorly edited, though, so I'll be doing touch-ups for the next couple of days.
Anybody need a recap of events?
Spoiler:- Chapter 2: Trap Smasher:
Last time on Hunting Death Itself...
Previously unknown enemies known as the Jager attacked Squad 7, forcing Captain Seijuro Arashi to face their leader in one-on-one combat. Despite putting everything he had into the battle, he was soundly defeated and was only saved by the intervention of Captain Toumoku. However, he was still mortally wounded. His last act was to activate a recording Kidou and pass on its contents to Captain Toumoku before taking his own life to avoid letting the Jager gain control of his Zanpaktou. Now, with the Seireitei down one Captain, they must figure out how to combat their newest foes...
“I hereby call this Captains’ Meeting to order.”
A thick, somber silence fell over the room, the kind that hadn’t graced its halls for centuries. The Head Captain, Golde Okashi, slumped more than usual at the front of the room, his signature spiky golden hair falling into his storm-grey eyes as he towered over most of the room. “As I’m sure you’re all well aware, Squad 7 Captain Seijuro Arashi has fallen in battle against a previously unknown enemy. His death was confirmed early this morning by Captain Neeja.” He gestured to Seijuro’s usual spot, where a younger man with black hair streaked with brown highlights stood blankly in his place, his arms and legs wrapped with several white cloth bandages under his shihakushou. “Acting Captain Kai Blaize is currently filling his spot.” Golde stepped aside, as though ceding the position at the front of the room. “I’m going to turn this over to Squad 12’s Captain Aielpy, as he has all the details prepared.”
Another Captain, this time one with almost sickly-pale skin and large bags under his bespectacled eyes, stepped forward as Golde addressed him, his overly long sleeves swaying as they concealed his arms. “Thank you, Head Captain,” Ant stated tonelessly, showing all the emotion of an iceberg. He shook back his sleeves, exposing a thin digital wristwatch and a completely mechanical right arm. Ant flicked a button on the watch, causing the room to light up in blue as a holographic playback of Seijuro’s battle started behind him. “Observe this, please, and ask any questions that come to mind at the end.”
All of the Captains and Acting Captain turned their attention to the screen as Ant began fiddling with a rubix cube almost completely uncaringly. Several people kept clenched jaws and tense postures, others fidgeted uncomfortably, and still others didn’t even show a noticeable reaction, just watching with statuesque composure. Eventually, the playback stopped and the room faded back into the usual light.
No one spoke; the only sound was the rhythmic clicking of Ant’s rubix cube. Finally, Captain Nadare of Squad 10 spoke up. “Who the hell is Rouga Kouken?”
Ant stuffed his rubix cube back into his robes. “Display file 45-821,” he stated, seemingly to thin air. After a slight delay, the holo-projector nearest him lit up, showing a picture of a young Shinigami Lieutenant with messy blond hair and fang earrings. The image was obviously quite old, the hologram was fuzzy around the edges and the picture was flat 2D rather than 3D.
“Rouga Kouken, former Lieutenant of Squad 9, from approximately 500 years ago,” Ant stated, to general mutters of shock. “He was apparently Captain-class in terms of skill and power, but lacked the ability to properly control his Bankai, which is unfortunately undocumented. He played a major role in the Quincy Wars, and was responsible for personally killing the head of the Quincy Order, Lord Norhansen Harkinian. For some unknown reason, he defected from the Seireitei, and disappeared without a trace shortly after his killing of Lord Harkinian.”
“So why were they talking about him?” Squad 9 Captain Zameric Kajiya asked, twirling his trademark fedora on his index finger. “Other than the fact that he killed some relative of that Zeruda woman.”
Nobody had any answer to that. Kida started fidgeting slightly, and Ant picked up on it. “You have something to ask, Kida?”
“Erm… I was just wondering how she could possess a Zanpaktou,” the wolf-eared Captain muttered, tail swishing nervously. Ant knew she was lying, but chose not to comment on it and simply answered the question.
“Zanpaktou share a close link with their masters. When the master dies, they usually follow suit. However, if a Zanpaktou is somehow stripped of its master, such as their soul being completely destroyed, then it will usually remain intact, if only for a short time. If these Jäger managed to construct a link to the Zanpaktou, they could potentially utilize all of its abilities.”
“So what’s that bow thing?” Dre Hirameki of Squad 5 asked. “What’d she call it again? Hiney-something?”
“Vereinigung,” Ant replied, his flat accent sounding like a language-learning CD. “It means fusion in German, and it is exactly what the name implies, a fusion her Quincy and Shinigami abilities.”
“Don’t those powers oppose each other?” Rotrum interjected. “Trying to fuse opposing powers is like trying to get two magnets of the same polarity to attract one another.”
Ant sighed, seeming to deflate and re-inflate as he prepared to launch into the details. “Usually yes, but the distribution of reishi in her weapon is equally divided between the two powers, and they mesh in an interlocking pattern that overrides the usual difficulties with combining the two power types.”
“And in simple terms?” Saiga Hayashi of Squad 13 asked lazily.
The researcher scowled, adjusting his wire-rimmed glasses. “She literally combines her powers one particle of reishi at a time in a weaving form that is impossible to break apart without a massive amount of energy being released all at once. The interlocking pattern also means that the strong resistance of the opposing powers actually strengthens the weave as it pulls it tighter. Think of it like a Chinese finger trap, except with reishi.”
“How is that even possible?”Akira Mizuhashi, Arc, asked. “Even Seijuro wasn’t that good with manipulating reishi.” He winced as mention of the dead Captain caused him to be the recipient of several harsh glares, and hastily took a cookie out of a bag he’d brought and started munching on it.
“She’s a Quincy,” Ant replied to his ‘twin’ flatly. “Their abilities at manipulating reishi have always been better than ours, and she’s obviously a master at it anyway.”
Nobody spoke for a while, and Ant asked if anyone had anything else to ask. When nobody did, he continued on. “Head Captain, I suggest we proceed. We must form a strike team to take back the initiative from these Jäger.”
“How?” Senny Yamakiri of Squad 8 asked. “We don’t even know where they are.”
“Actually, we do.” Ant’s statement killed all noise in the hall for a moment, then a roaring wave of sound scared all Shinigami less than fifty feet from the room. Questions and accusations were thrown around like debris in a twister, and Ant stood impassively at the center, unruffled. After a while, the sound died off and he adjusted his glasses again. “Finished?” Several sheepish nods answered him, and he gave something close to a smirk. “Seijuro not only managed to record the entire battle, but he also planted a tracer Kido on his opponent when he wounded her. It only lasted a few hours after his death, but it was long enough for me to pinpoint the location of their base, with some assistance from former Captain Jin Hunter.”
“So what the hell are we waiting for?” the Squad 11 Captain growled, her long blue hair practically quivering with her rage as her off-red eyes radiated bloodlust. “We should go fuck up the bastards so bad they won’t know their heads from their asses when-“
“One step at a time, Aozora,” Golde interjected. “I’m as ready to crack some skulls as you are, but we need more intel on these guys.”
“How much more shit d’you want, ya stupid candy-snorting shithead?!” the young Kenpachi almost screamed at him. “If we hit ‘em now, we can wipe ‘em clean off the map!”
Golde’s glare alone would’ve quelled Aozora, but his reiatsu crashed down on the entire room for good measure before he replied. “Seijuro died fighting these Jäger, and for only a meager gain in terms of our overall knowledge,” he snapped, his voice colder than any present could remember hearing it. “I’ll be dammed if I let that happen again, to any Shinigami. We will not be rash about this, we will not be attacking them all-out without the proper intel, and we absolutely will not lose another Captain to these freaks. Do I make myself clear?” Several nods answered him, and he folded his arms before closing his eyes and leaning against the wall, seemingly very tired. “Who should we send?”
Nobody answered immediately, then Kai, who had been quiet the whole time, stepped forward. “Head Captain, I request permission to lead the strike team,” he declared boldly.
“Absolutely not,” Senshuken cut him off. “You haven’t mastered your Bankai yet Kai, using it against a bunch of weak opponents nearly got you killed, and you’re still recovering. In addition, your Squad is very unstable without their Captain and no clear successor to you if you’re killed or incapacitated. They need a leader right now.”
Kai grimaced, but he understood Senshuken’s logic and backed down. “Who do you suggest then, Sen?” Hayashi asked, fake yawning.
“Drop the lackadaisical act and I might tell you.”
Hayashi’s blue eyes widened fractionally, then he sighed and stood up straight, his face grim. “Fine. Your plan.”
“Niche, Kagen Enzeru, Jaku Satsujin, Heisei Rokushou, and Katsumi Sakurai should form the strike team to back up Jin.”
“A Captain and two experienced lieutenants, plus two seated officers with Bankai?” Senny asked, doubtful. “Don’t you think you’re giving the Jäger just a little too much credit?”
“At this point, I’m more worried that I’m not giving them enough.”
“I’m inclined to agree with Senshuken on this one,” Zam noted, putting his hat back on. “Even if they’re not all at Zeruda Harkinian’s level, they probably have several Captain-class fighters. If the strike team runs into one, I’d rather have the odds stacked in our favor.”
“Having the team link up with Jin is also a smart move,” Hayashi supplied tiredly, this time giving a real yawn. “Two Captains are better than one, especially two ninja Captains.”
“Do I get a say in this?” Niche Neeja, Squad 2’s Captain and resident ninja bowman asked timidly. His outfit set him apart from the other Captains, mostly black with dozens of tiny metal studs and a t-shirt with the kanji for metal written on it.
“Sure.”
He grinned, if slightly hesitantly. “Count me in. We can pull it off.”
Several Captains grinned at their newest member’s uncharacteristic show of confidence. “Good then,” Golde sighed. “You’re free to go and assemble the team.” He turned to Ant. “Much as I need a candy break, I should probably go with you so I can hear what you’ve got up your sleeve for the next round.”
Ant nodded, walking up to the Head Captain and snapping his fingers, causing the golden runes of Kuukanten’i to light up around their feet as they vanished in a flash. The rest of the Captains turned to leave, several disappearing into flash step while the rest left using the more traditional route of the door. Aozora wiped at her eyes and grumbled several choice words under her breath before stalking off, then the rest of the Captains went their separate ways.

“So, um…” Niche stumbled over his words. “We, ah, we have to… um…”
“Your lips are moving, but all I hear is ‘blah, blah, blah’,” Jaku, Squad 7’s 5th seat stated, cleaning out his ear with a finger. “Get to the point, will you?”
The blond man next to him smacked him upside the head, glaring at him. “Shut up and let him speak,” Kagen Enzeru groused. The Squad 3 Lieutenant was never short with anyone, but losing one of his closest friends was definitely not helping his mood. He too was impatient to get started, but he kept his eagerness in check.
“Thanks, Kagen,” Niche sighed. “Anyway… well, we’re going to get the Jäger right on their doorstep. We’re the strike team tasked with gathering intelligence and killing any Jäger we can.”
“Sounds like fun,” Heisei, Squad 3’s white-haired third seat concluded. “Do we have a plan?”
Niche smiled timidly; if there was anything he excelled at, it was strategy. “First, we head to the probable location of the Jäger’s hideout. Second, set up a scouting perimeter, with Kido snares so that we can detect when and where people are moving and pick out potential targets. Third, capture one of the Jäger, preferably a mid-ranking or high-ranking one, thus achieving our primary objective of gathering information. Killing any other Jäger is a secondary objective.”
“We’re linking up with Captain Hunter at some point, right?” Kagen asked.
“If we find him.”
Kasumi, Squad 4’s Lieutenant, grinned devilishly. “And you just know how hard that’s going to be.”
Everyone laughed, remembering Jin’s habit of turning up in the oddest of places, but only after you’d looked in every weird place you thought you could find. Niche in particular grinned the widest; he’d often been the one doing the searching when he was still a 5th Seat. “Alright, any other questions before we go?” he asked.
“Are you going to bring them back alive?” a new voice asked.
The squad turned, noticing that Kida was walking up the road, tail swishing stiffly behind her as she walked. Niche frowned. “Of course I am,” he muttered. “You have no faith in me.”
“It’s not that,” she replied, looking away. “I’ve already lost one friend. I don’t want to lose either of my subordinates too.”
Niche sighed in exasperation. “Kida, it’s me we’re talking about,” he said, coming very close to sounding annoyed. “No one is going to die.”
Kida turned and started walking away, sparing them one final jab and glance before she flashed away. “I would’ve believed Seijuro if he’d said that too, and look what happened to him.”
Niche scowled, but Kagen’s swift sigh cut him off. “Don’t take it personally, Captain Neeja,” he stated tiredly. “She doesn’t mean it as an insult; she just wants you to be careful and not take any unnecessary risks.”
Niche chuckled. “I don’t take things personally, Kagen,” he replied, shaking his head. “Is everyone ready to go?”
A chorus of affirmatives answered him, and he straightened up. “Alright, let’s move out.”
“Where to?” Jaku asked. “You’ll have to lead the way.”
“You mean you don’t know?” Kagen asked, surprised. “I thought Kasumi had told everyone.”
“I did,” she replied, rolling her eyes. “Jaku just wasn’t paying attention.”
“Hey!”
“…is for horses.”
Heisei cut them off before the argument could escalate. “I’ll fill you in, Jaku,” he offered. “Just follow me for now.”
They leapt into shunpou, heading for the gate to South Rukongai. Kagen turned to Kasumi. “You totally forgot to tell him, didn’t you?” he asked, smirking with hidden laughter.
“…yep.”
***
Several hours later, the team had taken up positions in a dark forest just outside of the Rukon’s outermost districts. Heisei and Kasumi had set up several snares using Bakudou #12 Fushibi and Bakudou #26 Kyokko, making the entire area ahead of them into their trap. They lay in wait; spiders content in their web.
Several minutes passed, the tension growing as the seconds ticked by. They had only a handful of chances to make this work. Niche in particular was extremely worried; one screwup out here could mean the lives of his team. So far, though, it seemed like it would work out.
And then it all blew up in their faces.
A huge blast of blue lightning seared from the woods, decimating the majority of the traps and roaring right through their hiding spot; they leapt aside at the absolute last second, some still burned by the close brush with such a powerful attack.
The hell?! Niche though, glaring at the spot the blast has passed through. That was Kidou, Hadou #88, to be exact. Who would be doing this?
“Niche,” a familiar voice gasped just behind him. The Squad 2 Captain turned, finding his former superior, Jin, kneeling on one leg while clutching his left arm. “Sorry for the scare, but I had to get into the clearing, and your traps are useless now anyway.”
“What do you mean they’re useless?” he gasped, shocked.
“One of the upper tier Jäger… is practically immune to Kidou,” Jin explained, grunting painfully as he hauled himself to his feet. “I tried everything from Sai to Kurohitsugi, and he just blasted through it all like it wasn’t even there. It’s like he can find the weak points in any spell and exploit them perfectly, even if he shouldn’t be able to sense or see them. At best, the stronger spells can delay him for a couple seconds, but that’s about it.”
“Your Zanpaktou?”
“He countered it with his own; just cut through the vacuum blades with sheer strength. Honestly, this guy’s powerful, might even be second in command.”
Niche nodded, then jerked his head up as dozens of Quincy arrows flew at them from all sides. “Everyone get over here!” he shouted, the other Shinigami complying as he slammed a palm to the ground. “Bakudou #73, part 2: Sanryoukyou Zanshou!”
A huge pyramid of blue light rose between the arrows and the Shinigami, deflecting all of the attacks from its surface. Suddenly, a new figure appeared above the structure, firing directly down on the pinnacle of the barrier with a bolt easily fifty times the strength of the weak arrows being fired at the rest of the pyramid. The shot smashed into the barrier, but instead of punching through as intended, it streamed down the four edges and slammed into the ground before fizzling out. The barrier unfolded as though it had been cut at the seams, and faded into nothing just before touching the grass.
“How odd,” the archer who had destroyed the barrier remarked as he landed on the grass in front of the team, stroking his fine goatee and examining the area with oddly beady eyes. “That was a variation of Bakudou #73: Tozanshou, wasn’t it?”
“You certainly know your Kidou,” Niche stated, coming back to his feet. “That was one of my custom spells; designed to be a better area-spanning version of Tozanshou.”
“Normally, a barrier like that would have a weakness at the apex,” the Jäger stated, still stroking his beard in a contemplative manner as his white-clad subordinates emerged from the woods all around them. “However, it seems that you crafted it to direct the force down the sides should someone try exploiting that weakness. You’re quite the Kidou master.”
“Thanks,” Niche replied calmly, but on the inside his mind was a panicked blur. This is bad. This is very, very bad. We’re surrounded, outnumbered, and facing one of the strongest Jäger, who just happens to be a master Kidou breaker.
“It’s almost a pity to have to kill you,” his foe continued, raising an all-black cavalry bow and pointing it at them, “but orders are orders.”
Niche drew his dagger-esque blade, whispering to the others. “On my signal, release your Shikai and attack any Jäger you can see. We’ll escape in the chaos.” He walked forward, grasping his Zanpaktou tightly. “You can’t seriously think you can defeat all of us,” he shouted, raising his voice for the effect. “Most of your subordinates are fairly pathetic, and you’re maybe a match for me at your best.”
“Fool,” the man replied, drawing back another arrow. “I can see what you’re trying to accomplish, but I assure you that you are the one who is-“
“NOW!” Niche roared, his Zanpaktou twisting into a giant longbow as he knocked it back fluidly. “Twirl, Siska!”
Everyone erupted into motion all at once.
“Take Flight, Taishita Washi!” Kagen called out, searing light flaring from his form and leaving him cloaked in angelic golden wings with a black saber clutched in his grasp.
“Release Your Rage, Kinzoku Gekijou,” Kasumi stated flatly, her katana splitting into two yellow blades with a crackle of electricity.
“Blind Them, Sukui o Shainingu!” Jaku’s blade flashed brightly, instantly transforming into a large sword with a revolver attached to the hilt as the barrel emitted a few burning embers.
“Dance, Ourorafenikkusu~” Heisei trilled, a crystal-tipped staff spinning into his hands with a sharpened steel ribbon trailing from the base of the crystal.
“Empty, Rekku.” Jin’s blade simply transformed into a cutlass with no outward effects until he swung it and cut down a small group of Jäger with a seemingly invisible blade of air.
The next few second dissolved into absolute pandemonium. Blasts of every element imaginable flew from the Shinigamis’ blades and tore through dozens of the attacking Jäger in seconds before they dashed in every direction and burst into shunpou while their panicked enemies scattered before them like leaves in a tempest. However, the leader managed to block the attacks directed at him and pursued the fleeing Shinigami with his hirenkyaku.
“Damn!” Kagen swore, turning and firing a laser-like beam at the pursuing Jäger, who dodged instantly. “We won’t get away with him on our tails! I’ll hold him back; you guys get back to the Seireitei!”
“Kagen, don’t!” Niche shouted, just in time to see Kagen lock blades with their pursuer and drive him back towards the clearing. “We have to go back for him!”
“Are you insane, Niche?” Jin asked breathlessly, still clutching his damaged arm. “Sure, we killed off a lot of the weaker Jäger, but there were over a hundred of them chasing me and there’re still too many for us to beat with their leader still in the fight.”
“We can’t just leave him!” Jaku protested.
“Yes, we can,” Jin stated emotionlessly. “Kagen knew from the instant he attacked that guy that he wouldn’t survive. He’s sacrificing himself to give us the chance to escape; I, for one, don’t intend to let that go to waste.”
Niche clenched his hand into a fist, ready to argue, when several white-cloaked figures leapt through the trees and fired more Quincy arrows at them. “Danku!” he shouted, firing an arrow which expanded into a translucent wall that blocked their shots and stopped them cold, though one slipped past and nailed Jin in the shoulder. He went down with a muffled shout of pain, Rekku slipping from his grasp as his injuries overcame him and he collapsed. This just went from bad to worse.
“Jaku, carry Captain Hunter!” Niche shouted, firing several more Kidou-enhanced arrows at the pursuing Jäger. “Heisei, Kasumi, cover him and go! I’ll follow you!”
The young 5th seat stooped down and slung the unconscious ninja over his shoulders while grabbing his now-sealed blade while the other officers turned and started blocking incoming arrows as they ran. Niche followed more slowly, taking out as many of the pursuing Jäger as possible with Kidou combinations and simple spirit arrows. A larger group burst through the trees in front of him, and he dropped his Zanpaktou to the ground for a moment and clapped his hands together. “Bakudou #99, part 2: Bankin!”
“First Song: Shiryuu!” Several Jäger fell writhing to the ground as they were mummified in white bandages.
“Second Song: Hyakurensan!” Dozens of sharp spikes shot out of nowhere and impaled many of the Jäger who were unlucky enough to be in their path.
Niche gritted his teeth and forced most of his spirit energy into the final part. This has got to work! “Final Song: Bankin Taihou!”
A massive black steel mass appeared above the Jäger and slammed down, flattening most of those still standing. Niche let out a weary sigh of relief, wiping his brow and retrieving his bow before racing after Jaku and the others.
He found them beneath a huge oak tree in the center of the forest; with Kasumi giving Jin some much-needed medical attention. “I think we’ve lost them,” he huffed breathlessly.
“You wish, Shinigami!”
“Aw, crap,” Jaku and Heisei both muttered as yet another group of Jäger came through the trees.
"How many of them are there?" Kasumi growled angrily, still tending to Jin.
"Too many," Niche replied darkly.
Their leader, a greasy black-haired man stepped forward to address the Shinigami. “You gave us a good chase, you rats,” he snarled, drawing his blade and laying it across his bow. “By the order of Lord Königswald, you’re going to die.” He smiled nastily, his reiatsu rising as he prepared to release his Vereinigung. “Any last words?”
“You idiots are bunched up.”
Everyone froze as the new voice spoke, then time seemed to slow to a crawl.
A streak of black, so fast it appeared as a perfectly straight line, dropped into the midst of the Jäger and suddenly there was an explosion of blood and flying body parts. Their leader turned to engage this new threat, but his head suddenly snapped backwards as though he’d been hit with an uppercut to the jaw and he crumpled to the ground, unconscious. A black-robed man stood over his body, his blond hair flapping listlessly in the almost nonexistent breeze. A large broadsword was clutched in his left hand, and an ornate shield covered his right arm from the elbow down.
Niche gasped, as his unprepared brain finally comprehended what his eyes had seen. He dropped into the center of them, executed a 360° spinning slash and killed all of the ones around him, then he knocked out the last one with a shield bash, he realized. This guy is fast.
The victorious warrior sighed, his blade and shield vanishing in a burst of cobalt-blue light and leaving a simple, smaller broadsword in his grip. He sheathed it across his back, then met Niche’s eyes.
His eyes were bright blue, but they were cold, calculating, and predatory. This man was a warrior to the core. Niche’s jaw dropped as he saw his face. It was exactly the same; the face of a man who had vanished 500 years before.
This was Rouga Kouken, in the flesh.

I'm back, baby.
I'll take care of the Character List later, it's really late over here, and I can't be bothered to go another night without some semblance of sleep.

Luppi idrk. Yammi yeah, while he and Ulquiorra came to the world of the living. I remember because he ripped Chad's arm before his arm got ripped, IIRC. Also because I forgot his arm when I made the first arm collection pic. XD
Who do you think are the top 10 strongest characters?
1. Aizen (obviously)
2. Yamamoto (he's not the Captain Commander for nothing)
3. Unohana ^______^
4. Shunsui (It's hinted that's he's powerful, plus, he's one of the senior captains)
5. Barragan (His abilities are near unbeatable)
(Listed not in any order)
Urahara would be around there somewhere... I guess?
Anime~!
Spoiler:
Mayuri made a new drug 8D
I don't understand the explanation behind the drug. But hey.
I missed Rukia's crappy drawings. XD
Ah, that's a cheap way of escaping the drug's effect. >.>
I do hope we get to see Unohana fight, though.
Next episode's preview seems... nonsensical. idk. Hopefully not.

So, I bet you guys weren't expecting this for another month or so, right?
Think again.
Yay!
And I have to say, damn you for writing massive chapters T.T

Ah, cool, I'm sure Kai would do well as a Captain, or at least as a replacement captain.
And did you so "Blaize" like that on purpose?

I like how you showed a few different personalities through this. I think normally, people show almost "perfect" behaviour as Captains.

He played a major role in the Quincy Wars, and was responsible for personally killing the head of the Quincy Order, Lord Norhansen Harkinian. For some unknown reason, he defected from the Seireitei, and disappeared without a trace shortly after his killing of Lord Harkinian.”
Ah, I see. I wonder if something cliche happened, where the first Jager was Lord Harkinian's grandaughter or something.

In which case, Kida knows something more about Lord Harkinian, or Rouga Kouken.

Their soul being completely destroyed, in which case, it's something that - potentially - any Quincy could do.

Funny you should say that, because (and I'm sure everyone must have tried this), with weak magnets, you can force and hold together the same poles. So it could be something like that.

That's... Wow. It means that everyone that's a part of the Jager must be able to do something like this, even to some extent. They're definitely not an opponent to look down on.

After a while, the sound died off and he adjusted his glasses again. “Finished?” Several sheepish nods answered him, and he gave something close to a smirk.
I just lol'd at this.

Typical Seijuro. There's no way he would die without doing something to help defeat the Jager.

Good ol' Head-Captain.

iirc, this is the section you posted some time ago, right?
And after saying that, it's damn obvious that he isn't giving them enough credit.

That sounds WAY too perfect.

And here comes Kida - the most matured/rational female - to be the voice of reason.
Perhaps the "secret" she has is coming into affect here, too?

Who do you think are the top 10 strongest characters?
*Cracks knuckles*
I'll spoiler it:
Spoiler:
Alright, first, I think we should take a look at each group, consider the strongest few, and then compare them. It'll make it a lot easier and more fun.
So we start off with Ichigo's gang. To be fair, I think only Ichigo is powerful enough to be considered. Sure the others have been training, but it just doesn't compare anymore. For abilities alone, I'd have considered Orihime's space-time reversal, but she only uses it for healing.
Of Soul Society, only the Captains can really be taken into consideration. Of them, Yamomoto is the strongest, but his 3 disciples, Ukitake, Shunsui and Unohana, can also be considered. After that, I probably wouldn't consider anyone.
Then comes Aizen's gang. Aizen himself is obvioiusly the most powerful. While I think Gin is powerful, I don't think he's the kind who would win a one on one fight with one of the higher Espadas, for example. Speaking of, I'd consider Starrk, Barragan and Ulquiorra. Hallibel is ranked under Starrk and Barragan, but I think Ulquiorra's Segunda Etapa pushes him above her.
Of the Vaizards, only Hachi and the former-Captains can be considered (Shinji, Kensei, Love and Rose). I'm only including Shinji as we know what he can do.
I won't talk about XCution for the moment. We just don't know enough about them, though I'll throw in Tsukishima because, in theory, in a one-on-one fight, he can cut you and make him your friend, then literally stab you in the back.
Of Urahara's group... Urahara, Isshin, Tessai, Yoruichi. I'm tempted to throw in Ryuuken, but something tells me he can't really handle the power the others have here.
I'll do this in a weird way where I'll start from the list and slot them below/above someone:
I'll start with Ichigo. He is "neutral". [Ichigo]
Yamamoto obviously goes above him. [Yamamoto, Ichigo]
I'd probably rank his disciples as Unohana, Shunsui and Ukitake. Shunsui is scared of Unohana, and Ukitake is ill, but because of that, he can't stand up to Ichigo full-out. [Yamamoto, Unohana, Shunsui, Ichigo, Ukitake]
Aizen goes above everyone due to immortality. [Aizen, Yamamoto, Unohana, Shunsui, Ichigo, Ukitake]
Barragan's Respira is literally almost invincible. He could, in theory, make Yamamoto's flames die out (as all flames require a fuel. Even if Yamamoto's reiatsu is the fuel, like with MC's Iroriryuu, reiatsu can fade as shown by Respira destroying kidou). [Aizen, Barragan, Yamamoto, Unohana, Shunsui, Ichigo, Ukitake]
Starrk obviously goes below Shunsui (but I think he could beat Yamamoto, and maaaaybe Ichigo on a stretch). Ulquiorra on Segunda Etapa is obviously lower than Ichigo, but higher than Ukitake. [Aizen, Barragan, Yamamoto, Unohana, Shunsui, Starrk, Ichigo, Ulquiorra, Ukitake]
Shinji... Is tricky. I'd probably throw him betweeen Shunsui and Starrk, because Shunsui is smart, and his powers are so... weird. But I think he can defeat Starrk at a push. [Aizen, Barragan, Yamamoto, Unohana, Shunsui, Shinji, Starrk, Ichigo, Ulquiorra, Ukitake]
Tsukishima... The thing is, if he cuts you, you're dead. So it's a case of "don't get hit". I think... probably everyone above Ichigo can avoid contact, though again, we've never seen him fight properly with anyone except maybe Ginjou. So I'll place him above Ichigo, but that's it. [Aizen, Barragan, Yamamoto, Unohana, Shunsui, Shinji, Starrk, Tsukishima, Ichigo, Ulquiorra, Ukitake]
Urahara, Tessai, Isshin and Yoruichi. We haven't really seen any of them fight, but I'd probably slot them around the level of Unohana and Shunsui. The only one I can say for certain is Urahara under Aizen. Because Aizen is immortal so he can never die, but he can still be "defeated" as we've seen. I'm sure he can find a way around Barragan, like Hachi did. [Aizen, Urahara, Barragan, Yamamoto, Unohana, Shunsui, Shinji, Starrk, Tsukishima, Ichigo, Ulquiorra, Ukitake]
Yoruichi/Tessai/Isshin would be TOO much of a guess. So here's what I have:
1. Aizen
2. Urahara
3. Barragan
4. Yamamoto
5. Unohana
6. Shunsui
7. Shinji
8. Starrk
9. Tsukishima
10. Ichigo
(11. Ulquiorra 12.Ukitake).
Though some places are obviously a lot more open to debate, such as Starrk and Tsukishima.
