The movie was alright Arceus voice annoyed me but overall it wasn't bad.
Just got through watching my 1 week old DVR recording of the Arceus movie. It was awesome no doubt, and I had my ups and downs with Arceus' voice; but I dont really care if people think its not too special. It was quite alright.
Spoiler:- movie 12:
Gotta admit, was probably my favorite movie out of the entire DP series.Definitely a lot learned from watching this movie; between humans and Pokemon (I guess XP). Now I gotta see this movie in HD, and then await movie 13; whatever it may be and whatever it will be.
I really liked how the movie was approached here. Throughout the movie I was pulled in by the somewhat complex, but entertaining storyline. I remember leaning forward in my seat in anticipation while watching the movie, not realizing how interested I was. XD
Arceus' voice surprised me a bit, but I got used to it quickly. I think the highlight of the voice acting was during the calm moments when Arceus wasn't in rage and tried to destroy the town. I think the part where I greatly enjoyed his voice was when he said, "Pity.." when he saw the desolate land. Very professional imo.
Overall, I really liked this movie. There were some parts that confused me a bit, but I got it all by the time it finished. Watching it in HD was probably the most amazing part of it all. =)
The movie wasn't all that great.
I didn't like them showing how Markus was supposed to be evil for not wanting to give the Jewel of Life back to Arceus. He had a good reason to not do so; he was just mistaken about the farmland going back to waste. I don't think trying to kill Arceus was a good idea, asking him about the farmlands dying off would've been better. But still, I don't feel he was totally evil for having a reasonable opinion.
Kevin was handsome. Yes, he did little, but I felt that he was a cool enough guy that he deserves his own little paragraph. I was upset that he played a Brock and was left out of the action, though surprisingly, Brock was one taken into the past. He deserved more than to be left behind and watch the fight.
Arceus's voice was lame in my opinion. "Get out of my way!" Why would he say that? Wouldn't he rather just eradicate them all?
I didn't really care much for the movie, though I didn't expect much in the first place.

Ok, I was just watching the movie again, and I realized that when Dialga used Hyper Beam on Arceus, it changed its plate to what appeared to be either Fighting or Poison rather than just remaining Normal. How does that make sense?

Well, I watched the airing of this movie on YTV (I simply love that Canada actually got this movie alongside Australia and the States), and I noticed a couple of things that I didn't before.
First of all, I don't recall which member said this, but when Ash and co. are being told about the whole "Arceus" legend, I had the whole thought they said in my mind during that whole scene. They repeat every second line they're being told. It was simply hysterical. LOL! Oh Arceus, that was great. I'm thankful for whoever pointed that out. It's funny because its so true!
Next, I noticed this as well, the whole argument with Markus can easily be quashed with this: After Arceus rescues Ash from that pit, Arceus is told of who saved him (Ash, Dawn, Brock, Sheena, Deimos). Immediately after, the whole place collapses and spews that Silver water stuff. Everyone falls (including Markus). Here's the catch (almost literally), Arceus saves everyone by stopping the flow of time and reverting pretty much everything there. We can easily assume that Arceus probably saved Markus as well. He also removes those braces on the Pokemon as well. Then you later notice that Markus's headpiece is left there. My guess: he takes it off and runs off (like the coward he is, hehehe...). In the credits, it appears he was caught, and that Deimos gave him the alternative of helping to maintain the land.
This pretty much seems like the most feasible explanation there is. Took me two and a half views to figure this out (it shouldn't have), but that appears to be rather obvious.
Finally, Sheena is a terrible judge of character. I mean, she explains everything that hypnotized Deimos did, then Markus asks if he used silver water. Gee, Sheena, why would he be asking you this if he clearly didn't believe you in the first place, hmm?
Finally, Heatran was of a rather proper size. I guess I just assumed that something like that had to be a bit bigger, but oh well. It sure seemed big during Markus's interrogations with Sheena.
Otherwise, I actually enjoyed this sucker more the second time. I dunno, maybe the writing was just done more effectively than it usually is. Or I'm just easily impressed. Oh well, I liked it, and that's good enough for me.

Just saw this in Canada!
Very well done. Animation, music, voices (I actually do like Arceus' voice now), everything.
The story was good. It could have been fixed in some ways, but it was solid and kept me interested the whole way through. Arceus death was sad, and I thought he was going to rot there in the silver water, but hey, he returned (or else). The ending was amazing. I always need a good ending in a movie to satisfy me. Arceus almost killing Ash/Friends/Michina was good, and the goodbye was good too.
We actually got to see the whole credits! Pokemon's credits are always great, and have very sad music. Damn Movie 10 music got me, and I had a tear in my eye.
Overall rating: 9/10.
It's in my top 5 Pokemon movies.
1) Mewtwo Strikes Back
2) The Rise of Darkrai
3) Arceus and the Jewel of Life
4) Destiny Deoxys
5) Spell of the Unown
Technically, Australia and the States also did, but it was squished in with an advert. Seeing as YTV isn't like that, we got the good end of things.
I'd also like to point out that movie 10's Jap version had ending credits with English lyrics. I'll have to upload them to show you. I actually had a double take with this.
A request for anyone: I'd like to know who does the voice for Sheena, it's been bugging me for some time.
And I laughed a the fact that Markus is voiced by Jason Griffith. That's just funny.

Ehh... the movie was ok... at least, but I didn't really want to see anything emotional like the rest of the movies, so I'll give a 5/10.
Personally, I loved the song in the intro. DON'T LINK TO STREAMING VIDEOS OF THE MOVIE
I found this movie to be total badass. I look on the serebii website, and it says you see stuff like Mewtwo, Darkrai, Mew, (I believe It said Celebi, too), but I didn't see them during the movie. Anyone mind giving me a picture to where they are?

I'm so glad someone else noticed that. Ash and his friends repeat everything they hear. Its so ridiculous, but so funny. Its like the writers fill up needed spots by having Ash, Brock, or Dawn repeat was was just said in a "concerned" tone.
Anyway, I enjoyed the movie. I liked the opening battle along with the extended version of the Galactic Battle theme. I enjoyed Pikachu, Piplup, and Pichu's adventure through the temple. I even liked Arceus' voice (though it took me a while). His voice is better when he's calm. I love home condescending and cold he sounded when he was talking to Damos about the barren wasteland of Mechina.
I liked the continuity between the three Diamond and Pearl movies.
This is certainly one of my favorite Pokemon movies.
I've officially claimed Swampert!
Haven't read the other pages of reviews, nor even finished the movie. I'm about 3/4ths through, and it's shaping up to be painfully average as were the other two D/P movies.
I greatly enjoyed the extended theme of Galactic Battle. Though with such a high energy song, it felt wasted on a battle against basically bug trainers. Makes me wish we got a full version of We Will Be Heroes from the previous season.
Arceus sounds extremely constipated for most of the movie.
It was nice to see Sudowoodo use Hammer Arm.

The only part I don't like is how quickly the fight between the Dragon Trio ends. It was built up in two movies and then it ends in 5 minutes.
Team Galactic conquers all
After reading this thread I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. Whilst I did find the voice of Arceus ill fitting it didn't bother me near as much as the fact Palkia's and Dialga's cries are mixed up. Whilst the DPPt and pbr Palkia cry is a lil' Generic the Dialga cry is very unique (I noticed this because when I 1st heard it I thought it sounded like it should belong to a water pkmn rather than a legendary steel dragon. If there is some way I'm wrong please tell me. I'm sure I'm not but the only reason I ask is because I can't believe they would make such a massive mistake and also that no one else has mentioned it.

This is Turtwig, he was the most under appreciatted starter in Diamond & Pearl. If you picked Turtwig as your starter, put this in your sig. (Started by Dax-360 Turtwig)
I hate how 4kids insisted on mispronouncing Arceus's name (ARKEEUS = lolwut)
and I also hate Arceus's voice
Other than that, the movie was okay. Certainly better than the Giratina one.
Opening credits.
This was pretty cool! I watched it last weekend.
There was sort of a paradox... if they saved Arceus in the past, then why would they come to him in the future.
Crazy Stuff.
Also, I liked how they called the Pokes "Magic Creatures" or whatever. It gives new insight into the history of the Pokemon world.
How come when the armor came off the Pokes, that they just turned all normal? I loved how they had Newtwon visting Zero in jail. That was pretty cool.
8.7/10
