OK, Individual Values are set when you catch your Pokémon, and limit the Maximum (and also Minimum) stats your Pokémon can have. You can't change them at all unless you're willing get a new Pokémon. Natures Also Affect the Stats, Timid drops Attack and boost Speed. Many of Garchomps moves use the Attack stat, so this Gible isn't going to be the best choice for Battle Fronter/Battle Tower. Also Natures don't change unless you get another Pokemon.

Ok, so I'm looking for a Torkoal. I know I need to use the PokéRadar at Route 227/Stark Mountain, but I'm not familiar with the PokéRadar. Does anyone have any tips for me or is it just based on luck?

This page (http://www.serebii.net/itemdex/pokeradar.shtml) has a pretty good explanation. It's mostly based on luck, but there's also a visual indication of how rare a Pokemon you'll encounter.

Thanks. So I'm presuming Torkoal would count as a rare pokémon then?

Are the Elite Four and Champion's Pokémon actually EV trained? I ask because i'm doing a Wedlocke Challenge in Platinum, and there are a few opponents I want to be ready for in advance. My Gengar is Level 55 and has 172 Speed, and my Weavile has a -Speed nature but I have been giving her some Speed EVs (they're in different pairs), and i'm hoping they'll be faster than Lucian's Alakazam and Cynthia's Garchomp respectively. I tried watching MunchingOrange's videos, because I know his Weavile at Level 50 wasn't faster than Lucian's Alakazam, but at Level 55 it was faster than Cynthia's Garchomp, but I know he deposited his Weavile for most of the post-game, so I don't know his Speeds at those points.

In short, are the Elite Four EV trained? Thanks!

No, in fact, any Pokémon you face that is owned by an in-game trainer (other than those in the Battle Frontier) have no EVs at all.

Is this a good team to beat the Sinnoh league?

Farfetch'd ( rash)- Fly, Air slash, Aerial Ace, Night Slash/level 50
Carvanha (quirky)- Ice fang, Crunch, Wterfall, Surf/ level 53
Manectric (mild)- Discharge, Thunder fang, Flamethrower, Thunder/level 50
    Arcanine ( Modest)-Extremespeed ( sucks, i know),Fire blast, thunder fang, Fire fang/level 52
    Flygon ( mild) - Crunch, Earthquake,Faint attack, Dragon claw/ level 53

This is my current team. For the last place, i'll get a Heracross. I battle only with the pokémon i like and always ruin my EV's per accident

    Specialties:
    Farfetch'd-speed
    Sharpedo-attack, speed
    Manectric- sp. attack, speed
    Arcanine-attack, special attack
    Flygon- Attack, special defense

I know my defense is awfully bad, but they grew like they grew

Iam Dutch, and my english is not perfect. ( to be honest: everything but perfect) Please do not care to much about my spelling mistakes.\

    Watermonoteam:
and Kingdra (oh,wait, sometimes Slowking too)

This is Bidoof. Many people loathe it with their lives. If you are of the few people who love this little beaver, put this in your sig. Started by Warrior Scolipede (and with a watermono, bibarel is hard to defeat)

I think you should evolve Carvanha. Other than that it is a good team

I am look for a lax incense because I accidentally sold mine. I could trade a master ball because I am in need of one to complete the pokedex. I would trade for a wynaut too if possible.

i'm having some trouble with the migrating feature in 4th gen. I just picked up Ruby and leaf green, finished them and now i want to transfer some over to platinum-heart gold.

I have beaten the elite 4 on both 4th gen games, obtained the national dex and gone to the pal-park, All my games are north american. Still no migrate option in either of the main menus. Im at a loss.

I do apologize if this is posted in the wrong thread, this one seemed like the most likely. If anyone has any ideas as to why this is not working, It would be a great help.

    Thanks

    Default Pokémon Help

Call me crazy, but I'm actually looking into using a Pokemon like Lopunny in my ingame team. I've never really used this Pokemon before, I overlooked Bunearies as cuddly dolls that served no purpose whatsoever. Let's not forget the precious time wasted while attempting to evolve one! Is that true, or is there more to Lopunny? If so, please give me suggestions on how I could use her, thanks.

    Sadly, you can't catch a Lopunny in-game until Black 2 and White 2. :/
