*high fives silent readership!* Thanks! And you can bet that… uh, at least the battle will be interesting? XD;

Thank you!
I also quite like the "the people of this planet once tried to control their gods" line from the empress, referencing RSE and fits the context of this story nicely.
The parasites think this was a highly amusing practice… probably because they were their own gods. *le nod*
Ha love Adam's "shut up, why would I do that" comment. XD
Haha, yes, I love writing Adam being Adam. ;D
Ouch though when Tate told Bill what he said to Hope a while back (I thought the flashback itself is a sweet but sad moment between the both of them).
Thank you! And oh yes. Bill's finally realizing how stupid he's been these past few days with regards to his sister, and of course,
someone has to point it out to him even further.
Overall enjoyed this chapter quite a bit. Yep let's see how your training had been going so far, Bill because...yeah, Pandora is coming soon, perhaps with the Flower Clan. D:
Oh, and we shall see. We shall see indeed. *tents fingers*

Because I suck at drawing people. And backgrounds. And pokémon (that aren't ponyta).
DO IT.
And you can totally pull it off pony-style.
Anyway, silly Bill, you may be locked inside the body of a terrifying metal alien, but you simply cannot pull off 'badass' all by yourself. Not yet anyway. Besides, you need a badass opponent to be badass to... Tate is not that person xD.
Yeeeeah, beating up an eleven-year-old might not be the best way to prove that one is a capable fighter.
It was nice to see him get all protective over "Ray of" Hope (That's my new nickname for her by the way :P), you make an excellent point in the story when Tate goads Bill by saying that he's been spending a lot more time thinking about his relationship with Lanette than his relationship with his sister. It wasn't even something I'd really noticed until you pointed it out to me. Then I was all like... 'Damn, you're right.'
Haha, yes, I have to admit I've been letting my shipping tendencies shine through a bit too much. Luckily, now that Lanette basically hates him
(and is probably considering running off with Steven), Bill can finally concentrate on the more important things.
There was probably a little more he could have done though.
Absolutely, and you'll be seeing him try from here on out.
Also, has Tate mentioned Liza to the extent he did in this chapter before?
Nope, but rest assured that unlike Bill, most of Tate's motivations revolve around his sister. He just doesn't express it that much.
Also, fun fact? Liza is also the reason why Tate is a rogue.
As for a reappearance, she's not scheduled for one in person anytime soon, but as a character, she'll be important in one of the upcoming plot points.
One final thing... Meditating under waterfalls?
Really, Bill? I would have thought a scientific mind like yours could have come up with something a little less cliché :P
Haha,
WELL. Bill's practical, in-field martial arts training
is limited to having watched terrible kung-fu movies.
And, well, a bit of parkour (which in Goldenrod local dialect translates into "a brisk jog around the block" thanks to the insanity of the city's geography), but given that he's
not supposed to be running away…

NOPE.
Of course, it's Jax too, so is ANYTHING ever a good sign?
NOPE.
I wonder if this plot thread is going to go anywhere, because it has some interesting implications.
Not in this fic, but in the sequel that I might eventually write (provided I ever finish this one)? Yep.
Impressive, striking visuals here. Good job.
Thank you!
Prometheus just can't catch a break, can he?
He pretty much is the Bill of the other side. Only, you know, not a genius. Or a woobie. Or that staunchly moral. And more trigger-happy and aggressive.
I almost wonder how long his failure will be tolerated. If he has another encounter with Bill and fails, well... I wouldn't want to be him.
And Lilith/the empress is a lot like Queen Beryl in Sailor Moon. ;D Did your minions screw up on profound levels? That's okay! Give them another chance!
(Man, the first season of that anime was stupid.)
I just thought of something. Have you ever elaborated on the language skills of the Ixodida? Like, how do they decide which language to speak, how do they learn it, do they have a native language, etc.
Nope! But that gives me an idea for another extra~! (See the end of this post.)
Well done remembering the Steel type's natural power over Ice types, and by extension the Fire type's strength over the Steel type.
*le bow* If anything, the parasites thrive on the idea of weaknesses and resistances. In fact, it's even slightly part of their hierarchy, especially given the fact that the emperor or empress is always the strongest Ixodida around.
I get the feeling that "may you return to me in one piece" line is a bit of fate-tempting.
Bwahahahahaaaaa…
Oh God, this is adorable.
And when something in AEM is adorable, it usually means heartstrings are about to be pulled.
Hard.
PRETTY MUCH.
I wish we'll get to see more of this Hope at some point. I love her.
Maybe eventually! Especially now that she's got an entire troupe of bodyguards, including a psychic and her own older brother.
I wonder if she did use it, because it seems like something I want to know more about.
Oh, she did. And you've already met the Pokémon she used it on.
Just got an idea for what it could be used for that might be major to the story.
I'd love to hear your theories. 8D
I think a mention of what some of these words mean might be helpful, as a pointer.
Ooh, did I forget to do that this time around? Sorry about that.
The words both Bill and Hope use in this scene are pretty simple family words. To be specific:
Nii-chan: An affectionate way to refer to one's own older brother.
Nee-san: Still affectionate but a little more formal. This refers to one's older sister. As a side note that's not really relevant to the story, Bill was referring to Hope's older sister, but that doesn't mean the third McKenzie sibling is older than Bill.
Okaasan: Mother. It's an informal way for children (older than kindergarteners) to refer to their parent.
Otousan: Same thing as the above, only for fathers. (Note that Bill avoids referring to his father this way. Bill's system of referring to John is about as complicated as their relationship and depends completely on Bill's mood at the time.)
We all know how this is gonna end. AEM wouldn't disappoint us.
*cackles*
Do we have a new contender for Most Frightening Scene in the 2012 awards? I daresay we do.
How many years in a row would I have been nominated for that? XD;
God, I love writing this fic.
This is what it looks like, isn't it?
Naturally. ;D
The nightmares getting worse is a plot point, calling it now.
Also naturally. ;D
I don't blame Adam for annoying him. This sounds so ridiculous that I almost wonder why Adam isn't simply staying on Earth to observe the absurdities of humanity.
Well, that's certainly why it's still keeping Bill around as a host. *shot!*
Because why not? \o/
Make a contract with me, Bill, and become a magical alien.
...wait, that Meowth... hahahaha, ****. Nice one, Jax. Nice.
*le bow*
Okay, I laughed. That was genuinely funny.
*another le bow*
Oh Bill. Your accents are always unintentionally ridiculous. Please never change.
Sorry I can't write any more. I really liked the chapter though - I'm finding that the Hope-centric chapters really are the most emotional, so I'll admit, I'm kind of hoping for more featuring her.
Totally cool; I know you're a busy person.
Also, thanks! b)'')b You most certainly will, especially since Bill is now basically redefining his motivations. So you'll get a lot of "let's examine the relationship between brother and sister" going on.
It looks like more conflict is beginning to pick up, which is also exciting. I can't imagine that infighting between Bill and Tate is going to help.
Not at all. *evil grin*
