I have used two different teams to win 100 battles in a row, here are the details for them.
The first one was for Diamond and Pearl, for Double Battles. This was from quite a while before Platinum existed, so it is rather outdated. The team is as follows:
Bronzong @ Lum Berry
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Att / 6 Sp.def
- Trick Room
- Gyro Ball
Lv1 Starly @ Focus Sash
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Can't remember but it doesn't matter
- Rain Dance
Dusknoir @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 58 Def / 200 Sp.def
- Night Shade
Exeggutor @ Life Orb
EVs: 190 HP / 100 Att / 220 Sp.att
- Leaf Storm
- Trick Room
Credits for this team goes to Team Rocket Elite from Smogon. An updated and better version of the team he uses can be found here. The ones I used have quite bad IVs which I never bothered to check exactly, but they got the job done anyway.
The strategy is rather simple. Use Trick Room+Protect on the first turn, the opponent will usually target Starly as it is the weakest. Thanks to Trick Room, it will be faster than everything on the second turn and on. Then it is just to use Endeavor to get the opponent down to low HP so Bronzong can kill them. Then it is usually Explosion on the third turn while Starly uses Protect, the opponent will usually by then either be down to 1 Pokemon or have lost. I can explain more in detail if anyone would be interested.
For Platinum I went for Singles instead, using the following team:
Latias (F) @ Choice Scarf ** Rosa
EVs: 252 HP / 182 Def / 76 Spd
- Thunder Wave
Registeel @ Leftovers ** Metal Man
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Att / 146 Def / 12 Sp.def
- Iron Head
Salamence (M) @ Lum Berry ** Nate
EVs: 252 Att / 6 Sp.Def / 252 Spd
- Dragon Dance
Credit for this team goes to Bozo from Smogon.
A pretty standard TrickScarf team, use Trick and cripple the opponent with Latias (in some rare occasions, you'll want to go for Charm/Thunder Wave instead or switch). Then set up Registeel or Salamence and destroy everything... hopefully.
For HG/SS I haven't tried the Battle Tower this seriously (I got past Palmer in battle #49 in SoulSilver with a bad team, but that's it) and I don't think I'll ever try the Battle Tower again in them.
I'm not a pony who really has a whole lot to say
And all I want to know is that everything's okay
But some ponies have so many pieces and they're so hard to see
That all I can do is try to watch until they come back to me

I haven't faced the Battle Tower yet, at the moment I'm just training my team up some levels before taking on the tower.
