Mudkip. I love water types, and i always either get mudkip or torchic in the R/S/E games... recently i rebought emerald too... and started with... MUDKIP! lol

I chose Torchic because I like fire type Pokemon.

Mudkip, I aimed to use it later for Battle Frontier, as it's the best choice of the three for a competitive pokemon. Now that I have all starters thanks to a friend, it doesn't matter much and I can go through the game with whatever I want x)

I chose Treecko, because I wanted a Sceptile as my main Pokemon. I chose Torchic the next time and Mudkip most recently. Treecko is still my favourite and I am glad I chose it first, since it dealt the winning blow in my victory against Wallace after many victories and other contributions.

I chose Torchic, mainly as I tend to go a different type each gen. Like in Kanto I went with Squirtle, Johto Chikorita and then Hoenn with Torchic. And I never looked back.

I chose Treecko, because I always chose the grass starter back in the first three generations (breaking my pattern in Gen. IV, due to the lack of fire types.)

Mudkip because i liek it I didn't like the other starters as much, basically, and had also been told that it was the best choice.

I think I went with Mudkip the first time, though dropped it early on for a Taillow. Then the game erased, so I started Ruby, also with Mudkip. Which, again, I didn't use.

A treecko, because it looked the coolest to me and was like, Hey, I never used grass before as a starter! Why not? and then i picked it and yeah... it became a part of my team.

what disappointments me is that people choose Torchic because of how cool Blazekin looks...I chose Mudkip becuase I like water pokemon ;D

I chose Treecko. After a few years hiatus from pokemon (ending with crystal) I waited for FR to come out, merely as a stepping stone until Emerald. When I replayed FR I chose Charmander as my starter (cause it was the mascot) and since Emerald was green, Treecko was my starter. I got OCD like that nowadays >_>
