Who Did you Choose

Ruby: Treecko
Saphire: Torchic
Emerald: Mudkip

I restarted games after those but those are what I had at first. First time ever though:
Treecko.

I chose Mudkip, because I liked him the most.

But I still had hard time choosing between him and Torchic...

Mudkip because i liek it I didn't like the other starters as much, basically, and had also been told that it was the best choice.

I think I went with Mudkip the first time, though dropped it early on for a Taillow. Then the game erased, so I started Ruby, also with Mudkip. Which, again, I didn't use.

A treecko, because it looked the coolest to me and was like, Hey, I never used grass before as a starter! Why not? and then i picked it and yeah... it became a part of my team.

what disappointments me is that people choose Torchic because of how cool Blazekin looks...I chose Mudkip becuase I like water pokemon ;D

I chose Treecko. After a few years hiatus from pokemon (ending with crystal) I waited for FR to come out, merely as a stepping stone until Emerald. When I replayed FR I chose Charmander as my starter (cause it was the mascot) and since Emerald was green, Treecko was my starter. I got OCD like that nowadays >_>

The first time I played sapphire I picked Torchic to be my starter.I like fighting types,and torchic`s final stagey is fire-fighting.

I liked all 3, they were great, but I chose Mudkip because I always start with the water types, he looked cool, and Swampert is one of the best and strongest pokemon ever created.

I liked all of them, but I chose Torchic...because it's so cute!
and, I like its evolved forms as well, because they're fire-fighting types...and they look so awesome and cool...and they're strong...I just love them! :D

I have essentially all three games (two currently available and Ruby in layaway), and I'm going to make sure that each one has a different starter.

That said, of course, I chose Torchic, and not because it's a popular choice for those beginning to start Pokemon: if you add all the evolutions, the Hoenn Pokedex only has 10 Pokemon that are at least half Fire-type (granted, this is much better than the paltry 5 Pokemon of the original Sinnoh Pokedex, but still...), and I just have a hard time using a Slugma or a Torkoal on my team with their low speed. Plus, its Fighting-type that it gains once it evolves into Combusken allows me to incorporate that type into a team, as well.

The irony is that I like to employ balance on my team (at the moment, in Emerald, my team is on Route 119 around Level 35, with Vibrava and Gardevoir at the front), and I have let my Torchic (and its evolutions) lag around for a while.

I usely pick mudkip but at my new emerald new game I picked torchic :P

My first starter was Treecko- Sceptile is pure awesome after all. But my most used starter is Mudkip- half the gym leaders don't stand a chance against him after the first evolution.
