I chose Treecko because I thought Sceptile looked really BA. I really had no interest in that Wooper looking thing Mudkip and then another bird. But over the years I think this Gen probably has the best starters out of all of the other gens imo. It seems that (as of BW), their usefulness on competitive battling teams never fluctuated, like it did with the Gen I, II and IV starters.

I chose Treecko first. because to me durin' tha release of 3rd gen he looked tha coolest to me & skeptile looks tha coolest to me so i chose treecko.

Honestly, Aside Sinnoh, I love all three of them but Torchic beats them just because it evolves into the marvellous Blaziken!

I liked all of them and have played with each one a few times but, my favorite is Torchic.

Blaziken forever!
Won several master rank contests with my Blaziken alone. Tried choosing Treecko one time, but didn't enjoy it.

I chose Mudkip because I liek Mudkipz.
But in all seriousness, R/S was the first game where I saw the starters' evos before playing the game, and I decided I liked Swampert the best. Never was a fan of Blaziken, and Sceptile definitely tempted me.
Dreamers
I like Torchic the best, he was so cute. Plus i love fire types, and once i saw his evolutions i knew he was the one.
Warrior of Flames
Every playthrough of RSE was always Torchic, I always choose the fire-type, and it's final form is EPIC, I only train him (I know, Bad) and wins against pretty much everything, so in a nutshell the Torchic line is an AWESOME powerhouse!

I usually have fun with each starter from having multiple games but I normally stick with Treeko because Sceptile is just that cool.

I've used every starter in that generation and loved the hell out of all of them but gotta say Mudkip made the game easier and Treeko was my favorite of all of them.

I picked Torchic only because I wanted Blaziken so bad.

Fire-types were my only loves until Diamond, when I chose Piplup over Chimchar because, penguins. However, I picked Torchic not only because of my bias for fire-types, but also because the anime sort of influenced me. My cousin was also a factor in my decision, with his 'holier than thou' approach that Torchic = fire, therefore, pure win.
