Man, it's great to have known the details of the upcoming tourney for over a week now. None of the tension or anticipation! :P

Also because it has been a while since we even pretended to post about battles, Bendy beat me down in an ubers match 2-0 (correct me if I am wrong). It is actually a surprisingly fun metagame to play, if only because I get to use Mewtwo, the legend of my childhood. Ah, the nostalgia.

So I guess I kinda have to post the new tournament now, huh? Well I'm going to give a quick blow down instead of something too formal because I'm not feeling 100% and just wanna get this over with. The next tournament will indeed be our 3rd year birthday tournament! Now some of you read those clues and took them waaaaaaaay too literally, and immediately drew to the conclusion that it wouldn't be pokemon related. Guess what? When you think about it hard enough like tmk, you get a general idea that points to this!

The tournament will be a 4 team competition (sounds like the original purpose of 4th group clue) between GENERATIONS(ocarina, sonic, mario & luigi, PWT?) of Dracaena members! How's this work you may ask? Simple. The 4 teams will be split up among different TIME periods (you know, what 95% of the clues pointed to?) based on the YEARS (New year's?) of 2010, 2011, 2012. The best and 4th group is the leaders group, which nobody can join because we're too good (lol trash talk already!). You will be put into a team based on when you originally joined the clan. Teams will consist of 4 to 5 people each, with any extras being substitutes. The team that can obtain the most wins on the tournament bracket wins it all, as well as an individual winner of course. I could elaborate more, but i'll just post the bullet point rules and you can do the rest. The one special rule instead of a bland team tournament is listed....it should be pretty straightforward.

2. You will be placed into 1 of 3 teams depending on when you ORIGINALLY joined Dracaena
3. The tournament will have an individual champion as well as a team champion. For each win obtained, that person’s team will gain 1 point. The team with the most points at the end wins it all
4. Battles will be best of 3 unless you can agree otherwise
5. Primary battle method is PO, with PS being the 2nd preferred choice
6. Clauses: Wifi, Sleep, Species, Evasion, OHKO
7. When signing up, please state what year you originally joined the clan (2010, 2011, 2012). If unsure, just ask and we can try to figure it out together!
8. When teams are decided, you must figure out with your teammates which generation each of you will represent. Each person must be assigned to 1 pokemon generation to use pokemon from with only 1 wildcard. Team 2010 could have 4 members, and person A could have generation III pokes, B have generation I pokes, C have generation V pokes, and D have generation IV pokes. You CAN'T switch generations during the tournament, and no generation may be used twice within the same team.

 

We can also debate on double elimination as right now i predict this tourney to finish around the 10th of december, give or take a day or two. As long as this finishes before like 3 days after New Year's idc how long this takes. Double elimination could also throw some curve balls into the points. Also, do note that this will be on a bracket, but the bracket will keep teammates from facing each other for as long as possible. If this happens, it's safe to assume that team is winning anyways lolz. The earliest time this can happen is about the semi finals. Hopefully you all like this, and if you don't too bad, it's a birthday tourney and it's better than something that doesn't relate to the birthday at all. Hope we can all put our differences aside and have a good time!
